Chapter 1452: Together?

Archer watched as the Oathkeepers returned to the Domain using the tokens he had given them, just in time as the Dragonfire Company rained down Mana Shells on the Demons as the Drakeguards rushed through the battlefield.

Their ladders slamming into the walls, allowing the soldiers to climb. His eyes tracked a group of ten men and women scaling the wall and starting to fight with the surviving enemy soldiers.

Blades sang while kissing anyone who came across them as they rushed toward the gate. Just then, Elara appeared beside him with a nervous expression, but before she could speak, something attacked the Drakeguards.

A horde of Terravian monsters surged through the Darlthorne castle, savagely tearing through his soldiers, igniting fury in his heart. Amid the chaos, Inara’s voice resonated in his mind, soft yet clear. ’May Ashoka and I visit you, my love?’

Archer calmed down as the two women appeared from a violet portal that opened up nearby, causing him to smile. ’’Hello, my beauties,’’ he greeted.

Inara, the lioness, radiated joy as she stepped forward, enveloping him in a tight embrace that warmed his heart. Moments later, the elegant older woman leaned in, her tail swaying with excitement, and pressed a passionate kiss to his lips.

The tigress mirrored Inara’s affection, embracing him warmly. He turned to the duo and asked, “Can you both clear out some Terravian mutants?”

They nodded eagerly, weapons at the ready, as Archer channeled a surge of mana into them, amplifying their strength with a radiant glow.

Archer stood atop the battle-scarred ramparts, his eyes locked on the enemy fortress below, its jagged spires clawing at the smoke-choked sky. The air thrummed with the roars of Terravian monsters, their grotesque forms swarming at the base of the stronghold.

His heart pounded, not with fear, but with anticipation as he watched Inara and the tigress Ashoka, their figures radiant with the mana he’d infused into them, poised at the edge of the wall.

Inara gave him a fierce grin, her red eyes blazing with resolve. Beside her, Ashoka, sleek and deadly, flexed her claws before getting out her sword, her striped tail lashing like a whip as her amber glowed.

Without a word, they exchanged a glance, a silent vow of carnage, and leapt from the wall. They plummeted like twin comets, cloaks billowing, landing with feline agility amidst a hail of jagged bone shards launched by the Terravian horde.

Inara spun, her curved blades flashing as she deflected a volley, each movement a dance of elegance. Ashoka darted to the side, her lithe form weaving through a barrage of venomous spines, her laughter ringing out as she dodged a claw swipe that shattered the ground.

’’Forward! For our love!’’ Inara roared, her voice cutting through the chaos.

The two charged toward the fortress, a blur of steel and fury. The Terravian monsters, hulking beasts with jagged maws and writhing tentacles, lurched to meet them, but the women were untouchable.

Inara vaulted over a charging brute, her twin swords slicing through its neck in mid-air, black ichor spraying as it collapsed. The tigress met a pair of snarling mutants head-on, her daggers a whirlwind, carving through their armored hides with effortless precision.

Archer’s breath caught as he watched, pride swelling in his chest. ’They are so fucking strong and fast!’ he thought with wide eyes.

The mana was visibly, their bodies, aglow, amplifying every strike. Inara’s tail lashed as she spun, cleaving the mutant’s skull in two, while Ashoka leapt onto a towering beast’s back, plunging her blades into its spine before flipping away as it crashed to the ground.

Moments later, the fortress gates loomed closer, the Terravian ranks thinning under their sudden assault. The women fought as one, their movements synchronized, a symphony of destruction that left a trail of broken corpses in their wake.

Arrows and magical bolts rained from the fortress walls, yet they danced through the onslaught, untouchable, their laughter mingling with the monsters’ dying screams. Archer gripped the wood, his heart racing as they breached the outer defenses.

The fortress lay open, and Inara turned, locking eyes with him across the battlefield. Her smile was fierce, triumphant, a promise of victory. Beside her, Ashoka raised a bloodied sword in salute, her grin wild and unyielding.

Archer’s grip tightened, his blood singing with the thrill of battle. Inara and the tigress were a storm of death below, carving through the Terravian horde with unmatched ferocity, but the fortress’s inner gates still bristled with reinforcements.

He couldn’t stand idle any longer. With a surge of will, he summoned his wings. ’’Enough watching,’’ he growled, a fierce grin splitting his face.

He leapt from the rampart, propelling himself skyward in a blazing arc. The wind roared in his ears as he soared over the battlefield, the chaos below a tapestry of flashing steel and monstrous roars.

Dark energy bolts streaked toward him, but he twisted through the air, his wings flaring to deflect the attacks with bursts of radiant light. He dove, landing with a thunderous impact between Inara and Ashoka, the ground quaking beneath his boots.

The shockwave sent nearby Terravians stumbling, their maws snapping in fury but also fear, thanks to his power. Inara’s red eyes flicked to him, a spark of delight in her gaze. ’’Took you long enough, love,’’ she teased, spinning her blades to cleave a charging mutant in half.

Following her, the beautiful tigress laughed, her sword flashing as she gutted another beast with skill and power. ’’Show-off!’’ she called, her tail flicking as she dodged a swipe from a tentacled horror.

Archer’s hands glowed with mana, twin orbs of violet flame coalescing in his palms. ’’Let’s end this,’’ he said.

He thrust his hands forward, unleashing a torrent of fire that incinerated a wave of Terravians, their screams echoing as they crumbled to ash. Inara and Ashoka flanked him, moving in perfect sync.

Inara’s swords danced, severing limbs and heads, while the tigress wove through the enemy ranks, her sword finding every weak point. Together, the trio surged toward the inner gates, an unstoppable force cutting through the monstrous tide.

Archer’s wings pulsed, deflecting a barrage of bone shards as he hurled bolts of mana, each one exploding. The fortress’s defenses faltered, the Terravians breaking under their combined assault.

Inara let out a triumphant roar, her tail lashing as she bisected a towering beast, while the Ashoka vaulted over a fallen mutant, driving her blades into another’s skull.

As they reached the gates, Archer raised a hand, channeling a massive surge of mana into a single, radiant beam that shattered the iron barrier in a deafening explosion. Dust and debris rained down as the way opened, revealing the heart of the fortress.

The three stood shoulder to shoulder, weapons ready, their silhouettes framed against the smoldering wreckage. Inara glanced at him, her smile fierce and proud. ’’Together?’’ she asked.

’’Always,’’ he replied, his wings flaring as they charged into the breach, ready to claim victory as one.

The shattered gates of the fortress yawned open, the last of the Terravian horde and their demonic masters, hulking, crimson-skinned fiends with glowing eyes and claws like scythes that excited the couple.

They stood undaunted, their silhouettes framed by the flickering light of the Archer’s wings pulsed faintly, his mana reserves thrumming as he clenched his fists, dragon fire igniting along his knuckles in a blaze of emerald and gold.

’’No blades,’’ he declared, his voice a low growl, his eyes blazing with intent. ’’Just fists and claws.’’

Inara’s lips curled into a feral grin, her swords spinning in her hands before she sheathed them, flexing her claws. “I like it,” she purred, her lioness tail lashing eagerly.

Ashoka smirked, tossing her daggers aside with a flourish, her claws gleaming as she crouched, ready to pounce. ’’Let’s make it quick,’’ she said, her voice dripping with anticipation.

The Terravians charged first, a writhing mass of jagged teeth and barbed limbs, their roars shaking the ground. Archer met them head-on, his fists wreathed in dragon fire that was their weakness.

He drove a blazing punch into the chest of a hulking mutant, the impact sending a shockwave of flame that erupted outward, incinerating its flesh and sending it crashing into its kin.

Another lunged, tentacles whipping toward him, but he sidestepped with speed, smashing his fist into its skull, the dragon fire reducing it to a smoldering husk. Inara leapt into the fray, her claws tearing through a Terravian’s armored hide as she danced around its flailing limbs.

Her movements were fluid, each strike a blend of grace and brutality, leaving a trail of broken bodies. Ashoka was a blur, vaulting over a demon’s sweeping weapons to deliver a bone-crushing kick to its jaw, her claws raking across its throat as it fell.

She laughed wildly, reveling in the chaos, her tail a streak of motion as she dove back into the fight. After some time, it came to an end as the last enemies were killed by Archer’s dragon fire.
