Chapter 1830 Struggle For Survival
City Lord Vaughn knew that as long as the Elemental Warrior is in a weakened state, then it wouldn't be able to display as much strength as it previously could. Just as he was about to ask Grey what their next course of action should be, the Elemental Warrior made a move.
It wasn't sentient, so after it regained its bearings, it charged straight at Grey. Even with Lord Harry not too far from where Grey was standing, the Elemental Warrior chose to lunge at Grey instead.
City Lord Vaughn mobilized his essence to the limit, before creating a sphere made from the fire element. The sphere didn't even last a second as it was broken apart with ease by the Elemental Warrior. At that moment, it dawned on City Lord Vaughn that even in a weakened state, this was still a Peak Sovereign, and it was still much stronger than an Eighth stage Sovereign like himself.
Without hesitation, he tried to distance himself from the Elemental Warrior. Luckily, the Elemental Warrior didn't target him, so he was able to retreat.
Grey wasn't as lucky as the Elemental Warrior seemed to be only focused on him. Even with his space element, he could barely run a considerable distance before he was forced out of the void by the Elemental Warrior's attacks. As soon as he appeared, he didn't dare to stay in place as his figure vanished with a flicker.
Bang!
'Damn it!'
Grey cursed internally as he was once again forced out of the void, this time, he coughed up a mouthful of blood as he felt serious pains from his most likely broken ribs. Without hesitation, he hurriedly unleashed his icy fire domain, hoping the freezing effect will help him slow down the Elemental Warrior so he could at least catch his breath.
The Elemental Warrior appeared close by, throwing a punch, its fist seemed to contain the power of the world as the space around distorted.
Ka-cha
The sound of something breaking rang out as Grey's icy flame domain was shattered by the sheer strength of the Elemental Warrior, not before it stopped its path for about a second. This was all Grey needed to create a good distance between himself and the Elemental Warrior as he tried to catch his breath. It had only been a few seconds since he climbed out of the rubble, yet he had been injured again by the Elemental Warrior.
Getting a second, Grey knew that this wasn't the time to hold back. With him standing in the middle, a strange aura spread out from his body.
City Lord Vaughn, who retreated during the Elemental Warrior's first round of attacks, looked in Grey's direction as he wanted to hurry over, only to stand motionless with a dumbstruck expression on his face. The reason for this was because he could clearly see Grey floating about three hundred meters away from him, and at the same time, he felt like Grey was standing in front of him. The feeling that Grey was an outstretched hand away, yet so far away messed up with his senses.
It was better for someone of City Lord Vaughn's abilities, for Lord Harry, he could see Grey everywhere at the same time. He knew that this was his senses playing tricks on him, but he couldn't help but be shocked at the scene before him.
This was Grey's first time using his space domain in a battle, and against a vastly superior opponent to boot.
The Elemental Warrior naturally didn't have the same reaction as City Lord Vaughn and Lord Harry, pointing at Grey's direction, a red beam of light shot out of its hand.
The beam of light passed through Grey's body without any obstruction. Before anyone could react, the figure dispersed. It was clear that this wasn't Grey's obvious body.
Grey, on the other hand, felt his heart racing nonstop. He thought his space domain would be able to stump the Elemental Warrior, only now did he understand that it wasn't a human nor weaker than himself, which made its senses sharper than normal. The only good news for Grey was that within a short area, his usage of the space element was greater. In his domain, he could come and go with nothing but a thought. This made his teleportation faster.
The Elemental Warrior didn't stop after its first attack, attacking once again. This time, it created a large blade made with flames, slashing down.
Grey knew this strike would be able to shatter the scope of his domain. Cursing internally, he created a three colored fusion orb instantly, sending it to block the incoming blade. He knew the fusion orb wouldn't be able to stop the blade, and he didn't have that intention to begin with. The blade cut through the fusion orb, but it was stopped on its track by the mouth of a large ice snake. On both of Grey's wrists were overlapping arrays.
The ice snake he created wasn't from regular water, rather, he used heavy water which placed a heavy toll on his body. The ice snake was only able to stop the blade for another second, but that was enough for Grey to retreat.
The Elemental Warrior was about to launch another attack when City Lord Vaughn struck out. After retreating, Grey quickly attacked the Elemental Warrior. Only he and City Lord Vaughn could fight with it, and although they were no match for it, it wasn't as powerful as it was when they first saw it.
Boom! Bang! Boom!
The battle raged on, with both Grey and City Lord Vaughn suffering more and more injuries. Even Lord Harry was bleeding as a large inch deep cut could be seen on his chest. Both Grey and City Lord Vaughn were covered in blood, but they didn't dare to back down. If either of them stopped fighting, the other would undoubtedly die. They were well aware of this, and didn't hold back.
As the battle continued, the duo who were close to their limits started to notice that the Elemental Warrior was starting to grow weaker. Hope surfaced once more as they attacked even more vigorously.
