Chapter 1909: Troublesome Gnome

Chapter 1909: Troublesome Gnome

Bang!

The Sixth stage Gnome did not even have the chance to resist as his head shattered from Grey’s punch.

Grey wanted to continue the onslaught, but the two Eighth stage Gnomes snapped out of their shocked state and rushed to the aid of their companions. They might not put these Gnomes in their eyes due to their weaker strength, but they could not watch by the side and allow Grey wipe them all out.

The duo blocked Grey’s path, refraining from attacking. Their first attack caused the death of four of their companions in a matter of four or five seconds, so now they were a bit apprehensive, unsure of what their next course of action should be. They wanted to attack Grey, yet the result of their last attack was still fresh in their heads.

“What are you doing? Kill him quick and come help me!” The Gnome fighting with Reynolds noticed the other Gnomes stopped attacking and yelled at them. He originally thought he would be able to easily deal with Reynolds, reality proved otherwise. The lightning element was quite effective against them, and with each clash, he got burnt by the lightning. Taking out his Puppet was out of the question, after all, their nemesis Grey Dawson was watching from the sidelines.

The duo in the Eighth stage took in a deep breath before ordering the weaker Gnomes, “Move away you worms!”

The weaker Gnomes felt like they just heard the best order of their lives, not caring about the fact that they were called worms. Grey’s ferocity scared them witless. His ferociousness is not the only thing that scared them, his unpredictability was what truly worried them.

They rushed over to the side of the Gnome with red robes, and the Gnome took out a circular item that he tossed into the air. The second the item was released a strange aura spread out, Grey sensed something wrong and hurriedly tried to stop it.

The two Eighth stage Gnomes realized from Grey’s reaction that whatever the red robed Gnome tossed out might affect him, so they rushed forward and attacked.

Grey retreated, forced back by the attacks of the duo. After regaining his footing, he took a glance at the item floating in the air. The item was releasing a strange aura that was interrupting the space within this area that was around a hundred and fifty meters square radius.

“I should have killed you first.” He said through gritted teeth as he coldly stared at the red robed Gnome.

This strange item blocked his use of the space element, which meant he could not switch places, or instantaneously appear in front of one of these weaker Gnomes. Without his space element, the duo in the Eighth stage would be able to stop him from killing the weaker Gnomes.

The red robed Gnome shivered at the sight of Grey’s cold bloodthirsty eyes. Even though he was being protected, he felt like Grey’s gaze was a death sentence to him.

“Kill him! He can’t use the space element for now.” He urged the duo who did not continue their attacks.

The eyes of the duo sparkled when they heard this. After Grey used the space element to not only switch places, but kill off three more Gnomes, they became hesitant in attacking him. Now that Grey can no longer use his space element, they had nothing to worry about.

Smiling coldly, they started their attacks.

Grey did not panic, this was not the first time he was forced to not use his space element. Although he relied on it a lot when fighting, he still had seven more elements, and three of them could bolster his speed.

Covering himself with the lightning element, he charged at the duo.

The duo were calm, moving in perfect synchrony. They were able to stop Grey from advancing while also evading all his attacks.

Boom! Bang! Boom!

They exchanged multiple moves, rocking the entire mine.

Reynolds and the other Eighth stage Gnome were fighting violently, with Reynolds having the clear advantage. On Grey’s end, even against two people in the same cultivation stage as himself, he did not look to be at a disadvantage. His speed and defenses shocked the Gnomes.

There were a few times the Gnomes thought they had him cornered, yet he is always able to come out of it with at most a small injury.

“Send out your Puppets, we will stop him from interfering with your controls.” The Gnome fighting with Reynolds was aware of what was happening on the other side and urged the weaker Gnomes. He knew the Puppets would not be able to harm either Grey or Reynolds, distracting them however was not a problem.

The weaker Gnomes had no choice than to send out their Puppets. A Fifth stage Gnome sent out a Seventh stage Puppet that charged at Reynolds, while a Sixth stage Gnome sent out a Sixth stage Puppet Grey’s way. The other Gnomes also sent out their Puppets. As long as the Eighth stage Gnomes were there, there was no way Grey would be able to deal with all of them at the same time.

With the two Eighth stage Sovereigns keeping him occupied, Grey found it hard to cut off the links with the Puppets. He needed at least a short time to cut it off, the duo would naturally not give him such an opportunity. Realizing how difficult the duo were to deal with, Grey calmed himself and focused on defending. As he defended he looked around, thinking of how he would deal with the annoying red robed Gnome’s device. As long as his access to his space element was restored, this battle would be a walk in the park.

This was something the Gnomes knew too from how he was able to easily kill off four Gnomes with just one exchange with the duo. If given another chance, then the weaker Gnomes would be wiped out in a matter of seconds.
