Are You Crazy? You’re Telling Me This Is a Fugitive TV Show?

Chapter 24 An extensive trap has been laid with plainclothes officers, and the best motorcyclist

“I just came from the inspectors’ livestream. Big Brother doesn’t even know he’s been targeted.”

“Well, you can’t blame Big Brother. It’s hard to guard against well-meaning citizens.”

“He drew too much attention. If he had done his makeup earlier, maybe he wouldn’t have been spotted. But now, he’s already been marked.”

“I’m now watching both the inspectors’ livestream and Big Brother’s, using my phone and iPad simultaneously.”

After being reported by a civic-minded citizen, Wang Yun found himself squarely on the radar of Zhang Xingchen’s third team. A special arrest squad had been formed with the sole purpose of capturing him, making this the main attraction of the entire Skynet Operation at the moment.

Trending across various platforms was the phrase, ‘Under Heaven’s Net, the operation to arrest Wang Yun has begun.’

The Skynet Operation show buzzed with discussions centered on Wang Yun. But as the conversations grew, a tightening net started to envelop him.

Countless internet users flocked to Wang Yun’s and the chief inspectors’ livestream.

Yet at this moment, Wang Yun was still oblivious to the fact that his location had been revealed. He was headed to Guanwen Market in a taxi, never suspecting that a good-hearted citizen had reported him.

Guanwen Market was an art-centric market in Nancheng. It housed calligraphy, paintings, sculptures, fresh flowers, toys, and the like, making it particularly popular among art students. Its proximity to the university district attracted a significant number of students, making it quite lively.

Wang Yun intended to craft a lifelike skin mask, but the tools and materials required were not easily available. However, he believed they could be found in the Guanwen Market.

After a ten-minute taxi ride, Wang Yun arrived at the entrance of the market. He stepped out, took a moment to survey his surroundings, and then ventured inside. Almost in tandem with his entry into Guanwen Market, several motorcycles bearing the word ‘Officer’ pulled up.

There were a total of twelve motorcycles.

“The target has entered Guanwen Market. Officers One and Two, both of you in plain clothes, move in closer to Wang Yun and be prepared to shoot on sight,” Zhang Xingchen’s voice relayed through the earpieces of the twelve officers. “To prevent any unforeseen circumstances, Saomao and Ahao, the market has four exits. Seal them off. We cannot let him escape this time.”

“Affirmative, Captain!” the officers replied unanimously.

Two of the officers, dressed in plain clothes, exchanged glances and immediately headed inside, their sharp eyes searching for Wang Yun’s figure.

These two officers, in their regular clothes, served as genuine police officers. Having previously undergone firearms training and used guns, they had been recruited to participate in the recording of this program.

Saomao turned to one of the young men and instructed, “Ahao, you team up with one person, I’ll team up with another, and the rest of you form two teams of three. Seal off the exits of Guanwen Market.”

Ahao responded with a smile, “No problem, leave it to me this time.”

“We can’t underestimate Wang Yun, he’s truly formidable,” Saomao said, his face showing clear seriousness, the lingering shame from their past encounter evident.

“If he can escape, I, Chen Minghao, will eat motorcycle exhaust fumes while doing a handstand,” boasted the young man confidently, pointing ahead, “One of you, follow me. We head east.”

As he spoke, he revved his engine, the sound thunderous as he executed a wheelie. The tires scorched the ground, leaving a mark, and he quickly sped toward another exit of the Guanwen Market. Another officer rushed to keep up.

“Hehe, I’ll leave it to you guys,” said Zhang Xingchen, grinning as he watched their live broadcast in the command center room.

“Rest assured, Captain,” a voice echoed from the speaker.

Shen Hao, sitting nearby, turned to Zhang Xingchen and asked, “Captain Xingchen, I seem to recognize this Chen Minghao. Could you introduce us to this elite member?” ȐἁℕОᛒÈš

“Chen Minghao is also my friend, and as you know, all my friends are champions, hehe!” Zhang Xingchen chuckled, “Chen Minghao is a domestic motorcycle racing champion, and ranked ninth in an international motorcycle endurance race. He’s the founder of the GGC Motorcycle Club and considered the top motorcyclist in the country.”

“This… oh my God! You’ve already deployed twelve people, including the top motorcyclist in the country? Aren’t you overdoing it a bit?” Shen Hao teased Zhang Xingchen upon hearing this.

“Eh…” Zhang Xingchen laughed awkwardly, “Well, Shen Hao, isn’t this also a way to show my respect for Wang Yun?”

“How do you expect Wang Yun to escape now? He should just surrender directly,” Liu Qingqing interjected, shaking her head.

“I never planned to let him escape this time around. He already escaped me twice. How could I possibly let him evade me a third time? Wouldn’t I look incompetent?” Zhang Xingchen replied with a chuckle, his gaze returning to the unfolding arrest on screen.

The other team captains around him also wore smiles as they watched the arrest attempt on the screen.

At this moment, Wu Mingyu, who was watching attentively, narrowed his eyes as he spotted a figure on the screen and noted, “Hmm? The two plainclothes officers seem to have found Wang Yun.”

The arrest was about to begin!
