Chapter 27
Who would’ve known? One look and it’s shocking.
It’s really intense!
Whoever thought of this, to have a huge brawl.
Over forty pet beasts participated in this chaotic battle, with beast masters occasionally withdrawing their pet beasts that had lost their fighting capacity back to beast space.
Some Beast Masters also seemed to be casting various buffs on their pet beasts, as evident by the different glows around them.
Vincent found a corner, and while making sure no one was watching, secretly took a bag of chips out of his Space Bracelet.
“Idiot! Is that how you use [Rush]?”
Crunch crunch
“Why are you biting its head when it’s so hard? Bite its butt!”
Crunch crunch
“Yeah, yeah, that’s how to use [Claw Strike]. Aim accurately for its vital parts!”
Crunch crunch
“Damn it, can’t you aim your fireball properly? Your target is on the east and you launch it on the west!”
Crunch crunch
Suddenly, Vincent’s head was heavily slapped.
“Which genius… oh, it’s you, Miss Zoey Green. What can I do for you?”
He stood up while covering his head, ready to curse, but when he saw who it was, he swallowed his words.
“You’re bored, huh? Eating chips here!” Zoey glanced at the chips and glared at Vincent.
“No, I’m attentively studying the advanced fighting techniques of my classmates. As for these, they’re my treasure for concentrating. Not just simple chips.”
“If you’re bored, come with me. Let your Slime practice with my Exploding Great Ape,” Zoey ignored Vincent’s nonsense.
“Ah, yours is a legitimate Commander level, mine is just Slime…”
Vincent felt Zoey was taking personal revenge.
But when he thought about Slime being bloodily tortured by Exploding Great Ape, Vincent’s heart ached.
He gritted his teeth and stomped, thinking, “Whatever it takes, even disregarding my charm, I can’t let Barry suffer such abuse!”
With determination, Vincent took a step forward and blocked Zoey’s waist under her panicked gaze.
With his right hand, he gently grabbed her chin, lifted it slightly, and stared deeply into her eyes as he whispered seductively into her ear.
“Slime may not be able to defeat you, but teacher, do you think I could be your victor?”
But today’s Vincent was different from the previous one. He had no interest in speaking malicious words to strangers, nor could he endure seeing heartbroken girls because of his rejection.
“Is it okay to just throw it in the trash?”
Vincent thought so, but then thought it was a bit of a scoundrel act.
So he came up with an idea and found a large cardboard box in the class. He threw the letters into it and then sealed the top of the box with tape.
He punched a fist-sized hole in the side, and on the top, cut a small slot, like a donation box to drop the letters in.
On the box, he wrote:
One per person, no multiple submissions!
One person per day, randomly chosen!
A catchphrase: Double rest on weekends!
“That should work,” said Vincent, nodding with satisfaction.
“It’s not only convenient for me but also doesn’t completely shatter their hopes. Perfect!”
Seeing so many love letters, he could imagine the disaster if he had gone to the cafeteria.
He placed his hands in the drawer, conjured up some bread, and started eating.
At that moment, Sebastian, who had just brought back lunch from the class, looked at the box in surprise.
“Vincent, what’s this?”
“Oh, this is a love letter box. Whoever wants to confess can drop a letter here. I’ll draw one a day and reject the confession,” Vincent replied while eating.
Sebastian’s delicate face was full of admiration
“So there’s such a method! I’ve learned something!”
“Do you get a lot of love letters every day too?” Vincent looked at Sebastian and felt he had asked a pointless question.
“No, they’re threat letters,” Sebastian said proudly.
“?”
“All of them are asking me to stay away from you. Oh, and some threat letters want me to duel in fencing with them. I don’t quite understand what that means, why do we have to duel in fencing not beast battle?” Sebastian asked curiously with wide eyes.
“Puff -”
Vincent nearly squirted out the milk he was drinking, almost landing it on Sebastian.
“You don’t know the meaning of fencing?” Vincent wiped the white liquid from the corner of his mouth.
He didn’t expect this world to have such a term; it must be different paths leading to the same destination.
“Does it have another meaning?”
“Uh…” Vincent hesitated to say it directly, “It means that the other person wants to get closer to you.”
