Chapter 3704 – Crash?
Regardless, Tianming had figured it out. Bai Ye was indeed impressive, but it still couldn’t replace Yin Chen. Its soul seeds were too weak and its infant souls were too few. When it came to intelligence gathering, Yin Chen’s capabilities were perfectly positioned between Bai Ye’s two forms.
In an expansive place like a Middlekin Star Ruin, Yin Chen had to step up!
The Ninedragon Imperial Tomb swam through the vast starry sea like a small black fish. As soon as Tianming entered the Middlekin Star Ruin, he noticed that the entire brightly lit region was suffused with a power similar to midsky essence. It made this place not only habitable, but also ideal for cultivation. Judging by the power’s quality, it seemed even purer than the imperial capital and God Domain One on account of being close to the divine channel.
"So this is the pure power of the Upper Star Ruin?" Even though it was just the most basic form, Tianming could tell it was far superior to the infinitum-class nova source of the Lower Star Ruins, including the midsky essence of the imperial capital. Myriadpath Valley had been constantly replenished using ownerless nova sources, so it lacked the same level of purity.
"Wow...." Moran and Qingyu stared ahead. It was as if they were sailing through a vast, multicolored ocean, with massive continents and floating shattered stars as islands on the cosmic sea. Though they were far away, they could vaguely make out cities and living beings on them!
There were also many astralships crossing the ocean, towing middlekin stars as their cargo, transferring, assembling, and transporting them across the continents.
"This Middlekin Star Ruin is basically a shipping hub!" Tianming marveled.
"The astralships pulling middlekin stars look like ants carrying rice grains back to their nest," Qingyu remarked.
"You aren’t wrong..." Tianming chuckled. Who knew? From some grand cosmic perspective, perhaps it really was like ants transporting food.
"Look over there!" Moran called out.
Tianming and Qingyu turned and looked at a dazzling bright area above the divine channel. Tianming had to focus his gaze to make out the details through the intense brightness.
"So many middlekin stars!" he exclaimed.
Indeed, the place they were looking at was likely a storage station. There was a colossal stellar formation there that was almost half the size of the divine channel itself. The middlekin stars extracted from the divine channel were first transported there for storage. They varied in quality, from deific to infinitum class.
"That's an enormous number!" Tianming did a quick count. He saw dozens of infinitum-class middlekin stars, hundreds of ether-class middlekin stars, thousands of sanctuary-class middlekin stars, and over a hundred thousand deific-class middlekin stars.
It gave a clear picture of just how massive this formation was.
"A warehouse!" Tianming's eyes burned with excitement.
The stellar formation was similar to the Myriadstar Sea of Infinitum, which was filled with ownerless nova sources that had once tempted the Star Hunters. But now it was Tianming’s turn to be tempted.
"If I could seize all these middlekin stars and send them to the Sun, it would definitely ascend to fortuna class!" As for the maniverse class, Tianming couldn’t be certain. It was hard to say how fortuna, maniverse, and imperial classes differed.
If maniverse-class nova sources were so easy to obtain, considering the number of middlekin stars in the Middlekin Star Ruin, wouldn't the Upper Star Ruin be filled with them?
From his experience in the Lower Star Ruins, a single Infinitum Mundus had one infinitum-class world and ten ether-class worlds. Following that logic, maniverse- and imperial-class stars should be just as rare in the Upper Star Ruin.
"No matter what, a fortuna-class Sun is definitely achievable!" The more Tianming looked, the more eager he became. Now that he had arrived at the Upper Star Ruin, the golden crystal star above him seemed all so close. Impatience filled his mind, as he wanted to reach her as soon as possible.
Saturatia-49 also remained at the forefront of his mind.
A fortuna-class Sun was the key. Tianming wouldn’t feel at ease as long as it hadn’t reached the fortuna-class. "That middlekin star warehouse is our target!" He made up his mind.
However, when he scanned the area around the stellar formation, he spotted tens of thousands of astralships. Besides the bustling transport astralships, there were also many in defensive positions and combat-ready states. There were numerous overflowers inside them as well.
Clearly, the dream was beautiful, but reality was rather harsh.
"Middlekin stars can’t be stored in spatial rings, and they’re in the most eye-catching location. Stealing them is impossible! The only way to take them is to gain control of this place."
But that would be extremely difficult! However, Tianming had the emperor system, Yin Chen, Bai Ye, Ji Ji, and many other lifebound beasts with unique talents. Backed by the Sun, conquering and controlling a location was exactly what he excelled at!
"I can split myself further and infiltrate those middlekin stars, directly making them move. But I can't be obstructed too much," Ji Ji said.
"Got it!" Tianming knew it would be difficult, but he believed in himself. "The priority right now is to thoroughly investigate this place. Know yourself and your enemy, and you’ll win every battle!"
Thus, Tianming found a nearby continent and had the Ninedragon Imperial Tomb land there. It circled over the star for a while, scattering massive numbers of Yin Chens like sowing seeds. Once that was done, the Ninedragon Imperial Tomb descended toward the star’s edge.
The black astralship burrowed into the continent, hiding itself. Meanwhile, Tianming, Qingyu, and Moran stepped out.
They didn’t plan to stray too far from the tomb, as Moran’s maximum combat strength required its compressed nova source. In this new world, who knew what dangers awaited?
"Let’s explore the surroundings and see if we can find anyone while we wait for Yin Chen’s report," Tianming said.𝘧𝓇𝑒𝑒𝑤ℯ𝑏𝓃𝘰𝑣ℯ𝘭.𝘤ℴ𝘮
At the same time, Bai Ye released many soul seeds to investigate.
The sight of the stellar formation and divine channel was even more breathtaking from the surface of the continent. From there, the eerie black void resembled a dark mirror and the tens of thousands of middlekin stars looked like a bunch of grapes hanging from the stellar formation.
The Lower Star Ruins had starlight as well, but nothing like this.
Just as Tianming was lost in awe, a small astralship suddenly plummeted down in front of them. Its surface was battered, riddled with holes, and trailing smoke. Clearly, it had been shot down. Most crucially, the warship was dragging a deific-class middlekin star behind it.
The 100-meter-wide deific-class middlekin star was the first middlekin star Tianming had seen up close.
"Move!" Grabbing Moran, Tianming and Qingyu swiftly dodged aside as the astralship tumbled toward them.
