A massive ten-meter beast leaped out from the woods, claws and sharp jaws out, landing in the middle of the road we were using to get to the tree.

The little Dream Spirits all trembled in fear, moving behind me as they looked at the scene, it wasn’t just one of these things, but four.

“GRRHHH…”

They were gigantic purple and black lions, covered with crimson crystal horns, and with six black eyes each.

Their manes were made of twisting Nightmare Energies…

They looked rather strong!

“W-What the hell are those things?!” Rita asked.

“Giant lions, duh!” Jenny said.

“But their manes…” Lily muttered. “Are they Nightmareborns?”

“No… they look like the Great Jungle Lions, they’re giant lion spirit beasts from Avalon, or well… these are their cousins!” Katherine said.

“Is that so?” I wondered, using my phone to take a photo.

[Giant Nightmare Jungle Lion]

Classification: Nightmare, Spirit, Beast, Lion.

Danger Level: B++

Information: Enormous and powerful predators of the Dream Spirit Forest, their giant claws, deadly jaws, and agile, yet powerful and muscular bodies make them apex predators. Their ability to work cooperatively to take down prey larger than them is also well known. Their manes possess concentrated Nightmare Energy, which they use to enhance their power or use Nightmare Magic to incapacitate or weaken their prey. The longer a fight against them lasts, the more dangerous they are.

Oh, they seem rather formidable, B++ Danger too, they’re stronger than the bees, individually.

There’s four of them, and I don’t sense anymore of them far away.

I think this is something we can handle.

“ROOOAARRR!”

The four of them charged at us after a pause, as if trying to analyze us with their six eyes before going for the kill.

They were mostly aiming at our mounts, not us though. Perhaps their huge size made them appealing as meals or something?

“Belle, don’t hold back.”

“MEEEHEEE!”

Belle’s eyes turned gold, releasing lightning from them, as she swung her foot down the moment one of the lions got closer.

CRAAASH!

“GRYYAAGH?!”

The lion monster let out a pitiful scream of agony, as it got almost knocked out with a single, powerful stomp from Belle.

An explosion of lightning followed, electrocuting its entire body.

BOOOM!

She was partially covered by the Bellflower wood armor, so she had some dream essence within her, enough to give her the ability to damage these monsters easily.

“GRYYAARR!”

The lion responded angrily while bleeding, his mane twisted around, suddenly manifesting several black spheres, firing them at us.

“Belle!”

“MEEEHEE!”

Belle cried angrily, her horns turned gold, overflowing with electricity and then firing several thunderbolt attacks at the lion’s magic.

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

The thunderbolts stopped the spheres of nightmare energy completely, and even hurt the lion even more, leaving it burning and in agony.

“GRAAAARR!”

It quickly tried to escape, beginning to run back into the forest…

But Belle was a vicious hunter, she wasn’t going to let her prey escape now.

Never provoke a goat’s fury!

RUMBLE!

With an explosion of lightning with a single gallop, Belle arrived above the lion, who glanced at her with a terrified expression.

CRAAASH!

And with a furious kick with both of her back legs, she crushed the lion’s head and torso, killing the beast on the spot!

BOOOM!

“Well, that was easy, Belle! You’re super strong as always.”

No wait, what if I use the phone to check her out?

“Wow, she’s a killer!” Gabriel said.

“Your goat is… amazingly strong, master…” Katherine muttered.

“Yep, compared to the Familiars I’ve raised in BNLO, these Beasts are rather weak, hahah…” I giggled a little. “Ah, but it’s really bloody… Uh.”

“Comparing their Ranks, I suppose Belle is way above B++ Rank then?” My daughter wondered.

I had already shown them the information I could see using my phone. Apparently this was a feature they didn’t have.

“Whatever this Danger Level is based on, she might be S?” Anna wondered. “She’s damn brutal though…! Wait, what about the others? We got a bit too far away…”

“Ah well, about her Rank, I can’t really calculate it well…” I said. “And yeah, we should go back! Hurry, Belle!”

We rushed back, quickly finding Silver and Goldie fighting the other three lions. They were as effective as Belle at that.

“ROOOAARR!”

Silver roared angrily, unleashing a devastating Silver Moonlight Breath Attack, hitting the Lion in front of him at almost point blank, before swinging its claws against the monster, tearing its flesh off.

BOOOM!

SLASH! SLASH! SLASH!

“GRYYAAAOOOOHHH…!”

The lion couldn’t even handle all of that, immediately beginning to scream in agony, and attempting to escape.

A terrible choice…

“GRAAAAH!”

With a furious roar, Silver unleashed giant spiraling spears of highly pressurized water, piercing the lion’s entire body until it was completely dead…

CLASH! CLASH! CLASH! CLASH!

The other two lions weren’t having a fun time either, Goldie was taking on both at the same time, surprisingly!

And he was doing it pretty good.

“Hmph! Mere beasts like you truly believe you can go against me, a Golden Dragon? Don’t make me laugh!”

His aura transformed, firing several beams of light at the furious lions, without end!

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

“OHOHOHOH! OOOHOHOHO!”

As he attacked them and the lions were being rapidly overwhelmed, Goldie laughed like a villain!

I understand he might enjoy that but he’s overdoing it a bit…

“And take this!”

He quickly swum upwards a little bit, then descended rapidly, hitting the two lions with a powerful tail attack, generating another explosion of blinding light!

BOOOM!

Before they could do anything else, both Lions were… out!

Just like that!

Wow.

I guess we’re really strong.

Fighting for a while in Arcadia has made me think we were still lacking, that there were always stronger foes waiting around the corner but.

Yeah, we have become really strong, and it is now that I am finally realizing just how far our strength goes now.
