Celestial Bloodline

Chapter 842: You failed?

842 You failed?

Kyle and Yue entered the boundary of the Sacred Divine Land. The air was thick with the scent of blood and a mix of spiritual, divine, and dark energy. His gaze drifted.

The land was divided into distinct sides, with a barrier separating both sides. The noise of faint laughter, combined with the sounds of countless individuals rushing with anxious cries, echoed in his ears.

"I don't understand why the dark side laughs when many of them also perish. It's as if they revel in destruction itself."

Kyle muttered as his senses expanded to encompass the entire Sacred Divine Land.

On the left side, he sensed Ceano, Damien, and even Enthrall, along with many people from the dark side. On the right side, he felt James and the army following him along with Alec and the rest of his friends.

"Hmm..."

His eyes narrowed slightly when he sensed at least ten fake bodies of Ceano. To make matters even more concerning, all of them were at the peak of supreme rank.

"He must have acquired something powerful... No, the dark aura around him is more prominent. Perhaps he has gained more power from Azazeal?"

Together with Yue and the two beasts, he made his way toward the right side, where the army under James and the supreme elders was actively preparing for war.

Soldiers were establishing camps and organizing supplies and equipment. Many tents were being erected in one area, while others sharpened their weapons, ensuring everything was in optimal condition.

The air was charged with tension as supreme rank individuals shouted orders, rallying their troops. Warriors stood in their formations, ready to advance toward the enemy with a single aim: to strike the moment the war signal was sounded.

Kyle landed in front of the tent, where he could sense James and Alec.

The soldiers standing guard outside the tent were startled to see a tall human and an elven lady appear between them when they hadn't even sensed their presence.

Instantly, they all pointed their weapons at them and hurriedly sent distress signals to their superiors. But Bia stepped forward.

Kyle caressed her forehead with a hum. Fortunately, before the soldiers got on Bia's nerves, Odiak, clad in a robe, stepped out of the large tent, having heard the commotion. Spotting Yue in a blue dress and the man in a shirt and pants with her, he shouted.

"They're on our side. Lower your weapons."

Odiak didn't have any problem identifying the tall man since there was only one man with a presence he couldn't detect.

"Kyle, it's good to see you again. Come in; we have been waiting for you and Yue."

They entered the tent, finding five individuals inside. James, the three old men who had come from the Second Realm, and Alec. Everyone was gathered around a table covered with a map of Sacred Divine Land.

James's eyes lingered on Kyle. It wasn't difficult for him to recognize the human, as his face resembled the false appearance he had previously shown them when he met them as a Celestial. Still, it was almost maddening that he was a Celestial.

Haylee, the winged white boar, was seated on his shoulder in the form of a tiny orb. He looked at Kyle, in shock that he was the kid who had entered the ancient lumbra realm on the blue planet and met with him.

'His existence itself is a miracle.'

The boar smiled and closed his eyes. He had been staying with Elizabeth or Odiak after meeting James. When the Forsaken Land was destroyed, he was fighting in the war and managed to escape the breaking land safely, just like the other beasts.

Seeing Kyle and Yue, Alec hurried over to them. His expression turned slightly sullen when he glanced at Kyle, and how could it escape Kyle's notice? His eyes crinkled.

"You failed?"

Alec rolled his eyes and folded his arms over his chest, causing his sleeveless suit jacket to become creased.

"Don't you dare rub salt on my wounds! I didn't fail. I just stopped midway, okay?"

Yue glanced at him and Kyle.

"What are you two talking about?"

Bia and Nox were also intrigued.

Old Ma was the one who answered.

"He failed to cross the boundary between Supreme rank and Celestial rank. I told him not to be so impulsive when he reached the peak of Supreme rank. However, he insisted on attempting it with overconfidence. Now he has to wait a decade to have another chance to reach that boundary again."

Bia burst into a stifled laugh, causing Alec to narrow his eyes at her. Nox slowly shook his horned head at her antics, but he was no better, secretly laughing at Alec as well.

Old Fedric and Old Garrick sighed.

Over the past two months, the three old men had trained Jian, Alec, and Regius. The three were exceptionally talented, diligent, and absorbed knowledge with ease.

However, there was just one issue. Even though they were becoming stronger at a rate no one had ever imagined, they wanted to grow even faster, which wasn't possible. Although Alec was the only one among the three to reach the peak of Supreme rank, the others were not far behind.

James regarded Kyle with a nod. He was wearing silver armor over his dark clothes, crafted by Odiak from a special material.

He was the leader of the army on their side. However, if Kyle ever wanted to take charge, he was willing to grant him authority since Kyle was the strongest among them all.

His gaze turned to Alec.

"Reaching the boundary of the Celestial realm is not easy, and even if one reaches it, crossing it is an even greater challenge. I have been at the supreme rank for so many years I can't count, yet I have not crossed it. Stay patient. You will cross the boundary at the right moment. However, since you failed this time, you will have to wait a long time for another opportunity."

08:37

Alec exhaled deeply. The system sighed alongside him. He knew he had to stay patient, and he would remain so. However, he was certain he would reach the Celestial rank, even if it took him many years!
