Chapter 1244 Doom

The stunning Nele and beautiful Niqols looked at Khan, and a chill ran down his back. He didn't know how or why, but he felt Jenna and Liiza had joined hands in something he didn't want to be a part of.

"Women will be my doom," Khan cursed.

"They already are," Jenna chirped.

"We will be," Liiza promised, caressing her waist. "Though, husband, I hope you were talking about the right ones."

Jenna didn't miss that gesture, and her teasing expression vanished. She straightened her back, abandoning Liiza's shoulder to inspect her from head to toe until her purple eyes stopped at her waist.

"I'm pregnant with Khan's child," Liiza proudly declared.

"Congratulations!" Jenna gasped, glancing at Khan to reiterate her gasp. "Congratulations!"

"Thank you," Khan genuinely said before growing wary. He half-expected Jenna to add something awkward, and she didn't disappoint. She smiled happily, her gaze darting left and right before stopping on Liiza again.

"Do you mind if I ask for details?" Jenna wondered. "I committed everything about Khan to memory, but there were a few things we couldn't do."

Khan believed the temperature would have dropped again, but Liiza crossed her arms, wearing a cold but proud expression before that obvious attempt at teasing her.

"Everything?" Liiza asked. "Do you think you know my husband as well as I do?"

Jenna had already partially admitted her inferiority, but that wasn't enough for Liiza. She wouldn't even throw a tantrum like Monica. Her cold, confident expression conveyed her superior status. Liiza wasn't just another girlfriend. She was Khan's wife.

"How could I?" Jenna immediately admitted defeat. "He is your one. His love for you is what makes me eager to find mine."

Liiza pursed her lips, studying Jenna for a few seconds before making a slight concession. "I never had many girlfriends, especially now. I guess we could have a talk afterward."

"I felt we were compatible," Jenna happily exclaimed, and the two women fell into a meaningful stare, seemingly engaging in a silent conversation.

"Can I have my wife back?" Khan cleared his throat. "And can we deal with the other stuff, too? Everything else can wait for later."

Jenna and Liiza glanced at Khan before exchanging a look, which led to a mutual smile. The two then separated, with Jenna heading for the Nele group and Liiza for Khan.

"[Husband]," Liiza whispered in the Niqols' language when she clung to Khan's arm to make her experience her cold fingers. "[Never let go of my hand to grab another woman]."

Something told Khan that Liiza would threaten his manhood again if they weren't in public, but that also gave him a chance to tease her.

"[You know]," Khan also whispered, leaning toward Liiza's ear. "[I must be truly hopelessly in love since I felt more jealous than aroused earlier]."

Liiza's expression didn't change, but some paleness spread through her cheeks. She felt it, so she glared at the smirking face to her left, not knowing whether to scold or reward it.

"[I'll still have to cleanse the spot where she kissed you]," Liiza reminded. "[I'd do it now if it weren't for Tamara]."

Liiza lay her head on Khan's shoulder, and the two glanced at Jenna talking with the Nele group. The other aliens were still wary, but the previous confusing interaction had partially reassured them about the married couple's intentions.

"[Were you serious about what you said earlier]?" Khan wondered. "[I thought you would have been ready to kill her]."

"[She made you accept to pursue happiness after you lost me]," Liiza muttered. "[Part of me is grateful to her. Part of me already loves her. I wouldn't decide to kill her so easily]."

Khan shared more details about Jenna once the meeting became a reality. As jealous as Liiza felt, she couldn't hate the people who had allowed Khan to survive until their reunion.

"[But this is the last time she touches you without my permission]," Liiza didn't forget to add.

Now that the mood was calmer, Khan's brain started devising jokes, but the white light that shone on his face stopped that process. Liiza knew what her husband would have thought of those words, so her glare didn't hesitate to arrive.

"[I want you and no one else for the rest of my days]," Khan blurted, his honesty taking over before that intense look.

Liiza blushed even harder, and her lip threatened to fall between her teeth, but the Nele finished their discussion and approached the couple. Khan and Liiza had to delay that conversation, finally welcoming the guests they had traveled so far to meet.

"I vouched for this meeting," Jenna declared, now showing some of the maturity Khan had spotted earlier. "We'll listen to what you have to say."

"Thank you for your trust," Khan announced to the group, pointing toward the path to the bridge. "This way."

Khan began to lead the group while Liiza clung to his arm, but his brain suddenly felt that something was missing. Luckily, it wasn't hard to find out what since he saw it as soon as he turned.

Ilman had been uncharacteristically silent the whole time. He didn't shout or add one of his usual loud remarks. The Niqols had remained near the place's wall, his arms crossed and his stern expression seemingly frozen.

Khan and Liiza approached the Niqols, only for the former to frown warily. Ilman was quite the intense guy but remained a man. Seeing Jenna kiss Liiza had to have some effect, and Khan didn't know how to take that reaction.

Nevertheless, Jenna ended up speaking first, peeking from behind the couple to inquire about that unknown figure. "Khan, is he a representative of your wife's species?"

"Oh, he is Ilman," Khan responded, walking forward with Liiza to open a path. "He is a good friend who performed as my best man at my wedding."

"I'm Khan's best friend in the entire universe!" Ilman shouted, snapping awake and performing a stiff bow. "And all of Khan's friends are my friends."

"The pleasure is mine then," Jenna giggled, stretching her hand to point her palm upward. "Jenna."

Ilman's red eyes darted between Jenna's hand and her face before hurriedly falling to the floor, followed by his loud voice.

"I wouldn't dare!" Ilman declared, deepening his bow. "I learned about the Nele's ways recently. You shouldn't touch anyone you don't want to."

"But I want to touch you," Jenna teased. "I'm offering myself with nothing but respect."

Ilman lifted his gaze, fixing it on Jenna's hand again. He gulped before straightening his back, wearing his most serious expression yet. Somehow, the Niqols looked like he was about to go to war instead of simply greeting a beautiful woman.

"[Ilman]!" Ilman cried in his language once he placed his hand on Jenna's.

"That's something I'll have to learn to pronounce," Jenna commented.

"I'll repeat it as many times as you need if you wish to learn," Ilman promised. "However, if it's not too much to ask, I'd like to learn yours, too."

"[Jenna]," Jenna repeated her name, pronouncing it through her native accent. "Do you need help learning it, too?"

"Nonsense!" Ilman claimed. "I've already memorized it!"

That statement left Jenna slightly stunned, but Ilman didn't stop there. "But it would be my honor to be your escort toward the bridge."

"You are an interesting man," Jenna exclaimed, stepping forward to grab Ilman's elbow. "Well, shall we?"

"You don't have to do this," Ilman gasped.

"But I want to," Jenna honestly replied. "Should I hold back?"

"Never!" Ilman shouted, walking ahead while minding his every step. Jenna kept clinging to his elbow, and the two crossed the married couple, who couldn't help but stare at them in disbelief.
