"No… I don't want to go into isolation," Skyy panicked. He was in a strange place and in a stranger's house, and now he has to be locked up in a room. He jumped off the cabinet, ready to make a run for the door. But that guy grabbed him by his shin and threw him onto his shoulder.

"You! You ruffian! Let go of me! I don't want to be here… I just want to meet my friend and live…" he sobbed loudly, beating the assailant's back.

Chen gritted his teeth. "I'm not going to kill you. Why do you make a scene out of everything?"

"Ahhh!!!! You monster…." he cried even louder.

"Goodness." Chen walked into the room and placed him on the bed. Skyy let out a loud wail. "I hate this… I hate this….."

Zara grimaced, watching this. "I don't think we should do this…"

"What else do you suggest? He has to stay in there for a day," Chen said, walking up to her. "Come on, get out," he nudged her.

Zara stood unmoving, looking up at him in a strange way.

"What?"

"He is wailing, Chen. Do something."

"What can I do!" he was exasperated. "Why did I pick him up…. He is a walking headache!"

He glanced at his sister. "Go out and lock the door."

"What? You're staying?"

"What else? He is acting like I'm sending him to a slaughterhouse! I'll stay here. He'll calm down in a while." He patted Zara's head. "Prepare the shot. If he shows any signs, we might have to administer it."

"Hmm…" Zara smiled softly and walked out. The door locked behind her loudly. Skyy, who was wailing, stopped immediately. His tear-filled eyes fell on him. "W-what do you plan to do… I... I will hurt you if you come close." He scooted to the farthest edge of the bed and picked up a lamp.

"This is a deadly weapon in my hands…" the man said, sobbing softly.

Chen sighed and sat beside the door. "I'm tired. Be quiet." He closed his eyes and rested. Skyy gripped the lamp tightly. But after a long time, the man did not do anything to him. Slowly, he loosened his grip on the lamp and placed it nearby.

His attention fell on the bandage wrapped around his feet. He did not even realize he was walking without shoes. Weirdly, he did not feel any kind of pain.

"T-thank you…" he wiped his tears away. "Why did you bring me here?"

"I'm asking that question to myself many times in a day." Chen opened his eyes, peering up at him. "Why are you so scared of being in a room? It's just a room."

Skyy pouted. "I have been stuck alone in a room for fifteen years… we are only allowed to meet others once every twenty days."

Chen frowned. "Skyy, I want to know something. Can you tell me the truth?"

It was the first time the man had called him by his name. It sounded strange, hearing someone else call his name. "What is it?"

"Are you a spy sent by another base?"

Skyy shook his head. "Spy… no. I just crashed here. If you hadn't found me, I wouldn't have even known if there was a base nearby."

"I see."

The whole room fell silent. Skyy did not know what else to talk to him about, so he stayed silently too. He laid on the soft bed when suddenly something poked his stomach. It was that book he had stowed away to use as a weapon. Smiling, he pulled it out of his shirt. "D-do you know how to write?"

Chen gazed his way lazily. "Yes."

"Can you teach me?"

"No time." Chen mumbled.

"Oh…" Skyy pouted. "I can write a few words… but I'm bad at it."

Chen stood up and massaged his own leg. "We have established a school. You can join in. But your classmates will be little kids. If that's okay with you."

"Yes! I want to…"

Chen smiled softly. "Good." The room fell into a comfortable silence.

Outside, though, it was a different story. Zara had already prepared the shot for the antivirus and was waiting anxiously. "What are you doing?" a voice startled her.

"Aunt…" she fiddled with the syringe.

"Who is infected?" Tian glared down at her.

"It's… it's not anyone we know. It's just a random guy we found." Zara smiled brightly.

"Is that so? Where is Chen? I heard you both were back." Tian coldly peered down at her niece.

"He…"

"Where is he?"

Zara broke down from her aunt's cold stare. "He is in there."

"So he was infected?"

"No, he is not. It's the other guy who was infected. He looked scared, so Chen is giving him company."

"Is that so?" Tian went to open the door and walked in without a word. Skyy, who was resting, suddenly sat up vigilantly when he heard the door open. As for Chen, he was calmly watching the door with a frown.

"Aunt…"

Tian raised a brow. "Chen, they are asking for you outside. I'll stay guard here."

"But…"

"Out."

With his head lowered, Chen walked out. Skyy was petrified. It was a woman who entered the room, but she carried a deadly aura. His body started to tremble on reflex.

Tian gazed his way with a brow raised. "You remind me of Yue..." she mumbled and walked close.

Skyy fearfully gripped the lamp. "Stay back!"

But the woman did not bother. She sat at the end of the bed, looking at him with interest. "Your age?"

Skyy silently stared at her.

"How old are you?" the woman said in a softer tone.

"Eighteen."

"Hmm… You're still young. You guys can indulge in sexual activities at such a young age," she mumbled under her breath.

Skyy's eyes widened. "Oh…"

"Yes, even if you are interested in my nephew, I would like you to refrain from having sex before you are twenty. That way, your body can develop correctly."

"Oh…" Skyy was flabbergasted. This woman straight up assumed she was having sex with that man. With a pout, he huddled in the corner.

"Your name."

"Skyy."

"Hello Sky, I'm Tian."
