The words "Dark Guild" were spoken loudly from Harvey's mouth, and it was heard by all those in the crowd, including those who had been recording the inside situation, playing it to those outside.
The world was finding out that the Dark Guild existed.
On the streets, in coffee shops, in their offices and meetings, the breaking news was starting to be reported to the whole world about what was taking place.
"Hey, did you hear? The Orian Guild, it looks like they were attacked."
"Yeah, I saw the videos as well, and can you believe it? It seems they're using Dark Magic."
"A whole guild using Dark Magic? How can that even exist in today's age? Aren't all Dark Mages executed? So how could there be an entire guild?"
"They must be sickos. No wonder they're attacking the Orian Guild."
"Not just that, but the situation, it appears as if they have hostages as well."
"I wouldn't expect anything less from those who are called the Dark Guild, but where are the police? If we know about it now, shouldn't they know about it as well?"
Harvey, standing on the stage, started to laugh as he directly looked at those on the ground below and the situation. His first task as the Dark Guild was a complete success, and he could tell based on the situation in the room.'It will be a while before the police get here, as a chief of one of the districts, I know exactly how the force works. Do you think I selected random members to be part of this life-changing guild?'
'Set up all over the city are members of the Guild making false reports, causing small disturbances, even within the forces themselves, causing mayhem.'
'The police are in a panic trying to sort out what is happening, so they don't have time to deal with a situation like this. Well, at least for a little while. I'm sure they will soon make it their priority, but it will have slowed them down enough.'
Azbeth, on the ground, had stopped attacking. He looked around and could see that none of the Orian Guild members were reacting anymore.
Hundreds of those in robes were spread out across the room, in a circle with their hands pointed towards the center, pointed toward the civilians and students who were present.
Seeing how no more members of the Orian Guild were coming out made it clear to Azbeth that the whole guild was done for. Perhaps every single member had been eliminated, at least those who were inside.
"What are you doing!" Azbeth shouted from the back as he tightened his grip around his sword. "Using Dark Magic to attack our guild and in such a manner, you will grab the attention of the whole world."
"Hahah, are you a fool!" Harvey replied back. "That was exactly my idea from the beginning. For too long have we been suppressed, been lurking in the shadows!"
"For we are given a sin that we can't get rid of. This day was eventually to come!"
From the side, a member moved to the stage and then went toward Harvey, right by his ear.
"We have secured all crystals and items. At the moment, we are moving them off-site," the member whispered.
"That's good. We can't lose sight of the main goal, and the reason why we were here in the first place. Otherwise, the Dark Spirit would be quite upset," Harvey answered and waved him off.
With that done, the mission was accomplished. People now would know the name of the Dark Guild, and the items were secured, but it wasn't enough.
'For an opening ceremony, it needs to be a big bang. People need to be talking about this for ages, and they must truly know we have returned... you are watching, right, Dark Magus, wherever you are. I will set the stage!'
Azbeth had been quiet since all the members had fallen, and he hadn't continued his fight. If they didn't anger them further, he was hoping he and the others could get out of the current situation.
"You, Azbeth, fight me right here on this stage!" Harvey declared, his finger pointing straight at him.
"Fight... you want to fight me on my own?" Azbeth asked. "But for what purpose? What does this solve? What is it that you want?"
Was this man someone they had angered in the past? Were some of the members rejects from the guild? There were too many thoughts going through Azbeth's mind. ꞦáNȯBĚš
Perhaps it was even some of the lower guilds they had shunned or bullied to the point where they could no longer grow.
"Weren't you doing a display of your guild's strength? To show how special you are to all these people, to recruit members for the future?" Harvey asked.
"Let's just say that I'm doing the same thing. This is your chance to show everyone here, and out there, whether the skills of your guild are truly great... and if you don't want to do that, then everyone here will just kill you."
Believing he had no choice, Azbeth decided to head up to the stage.
'I don't know how strong this individual is. Maybe I might even be able to best him and scare the others off, and if I can't, then at least I can buy some time until the others come.'
When the people saw Azbeth reaching the stage, they were hoping for some type of miracle, for him to best his opponent. With the others, maybe he could take them all out after the leader had been defeated from this group.
"You might not be afraid of me, but you should be afraid. Using Dark Magic, attracting too much attention. With something as big as this, the Grand Magus might get involved!" Azbeth said as he readied his sword.
"That is perfect!" Harvey replied, lifting both of his arms, and the strange darkness lingered from his back, growing twice his size, hovering behind him.
