Death Guns In Another World
Chapter 1925 - 1709: Freya Academy Under Attack 2Maria stood amidst the frozen battlefield, her blue eyes glacial and unforgiving as she surveyed the chaos before her. The air was thick with the stench of blood and burnt ruins, yet all of it was quickly fading beneath the creeping frost.
She had no intention of letting a single enemy escape.
Her icy aura intensified, her presence alone enough to make even the most battle-hardened assassins tremble in fear. The survivors of the Chaos Organization tried to retreat, realizing they had vastly underestimated the level of opposition.
But it was already too late.
Maria raised a single hand, her fingers glowing with an eerie frost-blue light.
“Absolute Zero.”
The air pressure plummeted, and in an instant, an overwhelming wave of ice surged forward, swallowing everything in its path.
The assassins—once so confident in their numbers—froze in mid-motion.
Some had been running, some had already turned invisible, others were activating teleportation spells—but none of it mattered.
Their bodies froze solid within seconds, encased in beautiful yet merciless crystalline ice.
Maria slowly walked forward, her boots crunching against the frozen ground, her expression cold and unreadable. With a flick of her wrist, the frozen statues shattered into countless shards, scattering like broken glass.
Not a single one remained.
~Elias’ Perspective
Elias exhaled, feeling the intense cold settle into his bones as he watched the battlefield become a frozen wasteland. His wounds still ached, but compared to what had just happened, they felt insignificant.
“Ehh, Mistress ” he muttered, wiping the blood from his lip. “You didn’t even leave one for me to interrogate?”
Maria turned to him, unimpressed. “If they had any real information, they wouldn’t be disposable foot soldiers.”
Elias sighed. She had a point.
He adjusted his cloak, letting the darkness coil around his form to keep him warm. ” Mistress, You could’ve at least let one die slowly. I would’ve liked to watch.”
Maria gave him a side glance before raising a single finger.
The ice beneath one of the half-shattered corpses cracked open, revealing a barely-alive Chaos assassin. His entire body was shattered below the waist, his breaths coming out in painful gasps.
Maria smiled. “There. One for you.”
Elias chuckled darkly. “Thank you mistress!”
He crouched down, gripping the broken assassin by the collar. “Let’s have a little chat, shall we?”
By the time the sun began to rise, the Freya Academy was still standing—but the atmosphere had changed.
No longer was it just a school.
It was now a battleground.
The students and professors had gathered, shaken by the recent attacks. The once vibrant academy halls now felt like a war camp, with guards stationed at every corner and protective runes glowing across the walls.
Maria stood at the highest balcony, overlooking the academy.
She knew this wasn’t the end.
The Chaos Organization was testing them.
The real war was only just beginning.
A few minutes later, somewhere in the academy, in some cave, three people were present, naturally it was Elias, Maria and the captivated assasin from the Chaos Organization.
The silver sword in his hand carved a trajectory resembling that of a saw blade.
Slash!
The assasin’s right arm was torn into pieces, and blue frost seeped into his shoulder.
“Guhaa!” he let out a bloody scream, clutching his frozen shoulder. Elias was using an enchanted sword, this one with Ice and Flame enchantments.
“You’re already screaming? How annoying.”
Elias shook his head indifferently and walked up to the freezing assasin. He held the enchanted sword in reverse grip with his right hand and stabbed him.
Whack!
The assasin’s burning left leg was torn off.
“Uaaaah!”
He crawled on the ground like a bug while writhing in pain.
“Because I’m only getting started.”
Elias smiled coldly and tapped on the assasin’s body multiple times with his finger.
“Y-you bastard, what have you done to me… Huff! Aaargh!”
Veins bulged one after the other on the assasin’s face. The intense pain left him unable to even scream, his entire body trembling in pain.
”D-don’t tell me… Did you just use that torture method with the aura from those swords?” Maria asked amused. His man sure have a way with making a subordinate.
”Correct my lady!”
”It’s cruel, but it’s a suitable torture for vermin like him.” Maria nodded, pleased with Elias’s method.
”A simple death would be wasted on a person like him.”
Elias had used the torture method that used heat and coldness with the enchanted sword. The assasin must’ve been hoping that he would die from the intense pain.
“Uhh…”
His lips burst open and blood flowed from them. His distorted eyes were pleading for death.
Whack!
Elias smacked the assasin’s chest with his palm to make the rage worm inside his heart faint.
He created an aura barrier in order to prevent sounds from leaving and curled his lips up into a twisted smile.
”Let’s see what you’re hiding inside you!” Elias after dealing with the rage worm decided to pry for information. It wasn’t his first time dealing with assasin, assassins have a method to self destruct upon getting caught not to divulge information. The Chaos Organization assassins had Rage worm implanted in them making them unable to spill anything, the rage worm would rampage upon detecting the slightest abnormality. It was why he put it to sleep, by making it unconscious,he would use this opportunity to pry information from its host, even if it was a titbits of information. After countless failure, with others they devised this method and because he could perfectly control darkness, he could use it to infiltrate the gap by making the rage worm unconscious.
Elias nodded at Maria who immediately erected a ice barrier around him and the assasin, black tendril resembling small tentacles burst out from Elias’s extended fingers to slowly penetrated the assasin’s head through his nose and ears. Carefully not arouse the rage worm’s suspicion he infiltrated deeper, reaching the assasin’s consciousness, pry a small one in it, he entered it, immediately his body outside trembled as if he was having a seizure.
Elias’s consciousness entered the assasin’s deep consciousness. He was targeting the latter memories, irrelevant memories such as past memories were ignored, he aimed at the recent one. They were blurry because the rage worm’s interference, still Elias cleverly navigated through them, collecting information here and then. Suddenly, the world of consciousness crumbled.
”Tch! I thought it could last more.”
Elias’s consciousness was violently ejected, the last scene he saw was a meeting, with an attack scheduled soon, a massive attack on the academy.
Boom!
The assasin’s head exploded like a balloon while Elias kneeled with a nosebleed.
”Are you fine?” Maria asked as she approached Elias with a healing potion, he took out and gulped down, feeling a little better he stood up.
”Thank you my Lady. I gained a little bit of information. They are planning a massive attack soon.”
”I see!” Maria nodded her eyes frightening cold.
