Chapter 298: You are missing out.

“Krrii!!”

“Gruu!!”

“Kyaa!!”

“Brriii!!”

“…Igni.”

Staring at the scene in front of him, Kael called out. Seeing how Lavinia was surrounded by four little creatures made him burn with jealousy.

“Yes, Father?”

The firstborn glanced at his father.

“…why is every single one of them so adorable?”

Kael questioned. He was barely holding back the urge to pout.

“I am more surprised by the fact that you can see them, Father.”

Igni answered.

“Well, I can only see four of them.”

“That is what confuses me.”

Igni had no clue how to explain this phenomenon.

One could either see the Elemental Spirits or they couldn’t, but Kael was different. He could only see four of the seven Spirits Lavinia had summoned.

Of course, the Dragon had already come up with a few theories to explain this.

First and foremost was that his Father was a Human. Never before had there been a case where a Human was loved by the Elementals, so in the truest form, Elemental Spirits never interacted with Humans.

It is very much possible that the Laws regarding the interaction between Spirits and Humans might be completely different than what he was familiar with.

Of course, there were other theories in the Dragon’s mind as well, but—

“Are the other three as adorable as them too?”

While Igni was thinking all this, Kael’s focus was on an entirely different subject.

“Yes, Father. They all are quite appeasing to the eye.”

The Dragon nodded, and Kael pouted even further.

“Hahaha~ Stop licking me~”

Soon however, the Hero’s eyes fell on the laughing Lavinia, who seemed like she was trying to get away from a spirit he couldn’t see, and a small, warm smile appeared on his face.

Lavinia truly looked beautiful when she smiled,

He wanted to see more of that.

“Fufufu~ Someone looks enchanted. Should we all expect to have a mother soon?”

Vitaria suddenly jumped on Kael’s head and laughed playfully.

“Be respectful to Father.”

Again, Imperia slapped the Fox’s head, but this time,

“Papa! Mama!”

Nyrri jumped with his big body as well, getting Kael’s attention.

And it wasn’t just him,

“As long as she doesn’t become a daughter, I will allow it.”

Cirri nodded as well.

A Wife was fine, that way, the human wouldn’t come in her way, and a wife could never outrank a daughter anyways.

It was a win for her.

“She is better suited than other humans.”

Igni nodded as well, staring at Lavinia, who was laughing heartily as she was surrounded by her Spirits.

“…”

As for Kael…

He just stared at his children deciding his life and just shook his head with a sigh, not commenting on the topic.

Rather, he walked towards Lavinia and,

“Now that you have formed a Bond with them, shouldn’t you name them?”

He suggested, attracting Lavinia’s attention.

“Krriii!!”

“Grruuu!!”

At his words, the Spirits nodded with excited smiles on their faces, instantly increasing the speed at which they flew around Lavinia.

The Fire and Water Spirit even rushed towards Kael and pulled him towards Lavinia, wanting to include him with the group.

But then—

“You will mind your place, Spirits.”

Cirri spoke, her voice much different than her usual, cheerful voice.

The Spirits trembled at her words.

Yes, the Spirits were pure, mythical beings of Magic and whatnot, but in front of a Primordial Dragon, they still cowered. It was a fear ingrained deeply into most beings, Spirits were no exception either.

Even if they cannot properly process a negative emotion like fear, they still did what Cirri wanted them to and backed down.

But then—

“Cirri.”

Kael called out in a strict tone, making the Dragon pout and move her face away. Kael sighed as he then turned towards Lavinia and,

“What about it? They seem to like the idea as well, let’s name them.”

The Princess nodded with a smile. She glanced at these adorable beings in front of her, first one was the Fire Spirit.

“Pyra.”

It was the first word that came to her mind.

“Kriiii!!”

Pyra laughed excitedly, liking her name.

Kael wanted to say that the name was too cute and should have more power behind it, but he soon glanced at his own children and decided it was better to stay silent.

After Pyra, it was the turn of the Water Spirit. She had short blue hair and cheerful big blue eyes, she wore a soft white dress that further enhanced her cuteness.

“You will be Aqua.”

“Nyuu!!”

Aqua nodded.

Then, Lavinia glanced at another light blue-haired spirit. Unlike Aqua, her hair looked like frozen snow. Her dress sparkled like ice and had soft white fur on the edges. Unlike the rest of the Spirits, she looked a little nervous, but was adorable nonetheless.

“Crya.”

Lavinia muttered.

Crya nodded lightly.

Lavinia chuckled, gently patting her head with her finger.

“Brriii!!”

Suddenly, a purple flash appeared right in front of Lavinia and her eyes fell on another adorable being whose entire body and hair was covered with a furry light purple dress. She had purple eyes and purple lightning coursed through her body, but it didn’t seem to hurt her.

“Brrii!!”

The Lightning Spirit called again. She didn’t like how others got named before her, so she took matters into her own hands.

Yes, she was very competitive.

“Always shine like you do now, Sparkle.”

Lavinia chuckled.

“Briii!!!”

Sparkle laughed excitedly.

After the Lightning Spirit, Lavinia turned towards a calm-looking, brown-haired Earth Spirit, who wore a big hoodie with stones all around her. With how upright she stood, she looked similar to a disciplined soldier. It was a sight that made Lavinia chuckle.

“You will be Terra.”

Similar to Crya, Terra didn’t let out a voice. She just nodded and continued to stare at Lavinia, still thinking something no one knew.

Then, Lavinia glanced at the Wind Spirit. The little girl had long silver hair and beautiful silver eyes, she had a chubby face. She looked so innocent that even the most heartless demons would want to do nothing but pamper her,

“Sylphy.”

The Princess named, and Sylphy nodded like the good girl she was. And finally, Lavinia turned towards the last of the seven Spirits, the Spirit with power over Plants.

Her little body was surrounded with little leaves, she had green hair and eyes. Just like Sylphy, there was an innocent, shy charm around her.

“I’ll call you Bloom.”

Lavinia announced, and Bloom nodded as she hid behind Terra, who stood like a wall. Yes, Terra was very protective.

It was an adorable sight but—

“It feels strange, seeing you talking to air.”

Kael commented.

Yes, he couldn’t see Bloom, Terra, and Crya.

“You are missing out.”

Lavinia laughed playfully. It was the first time she could tease Kael about playing with her Bonds. It made her feel happy.

Kael, who saw her smile so much, was momentarily taken aback. He was only able to react when Vitaria nudged him with a playful smirk and,

“I-I’ll get an affinity with Ice, Nature, and Earth soon.”

He decided.

“You can’t just… get an affinity with certain elements, you know…?”

Lavinia raised her eyebrow. Kael, however,

“Heh.”

He just laughed.
