Kael could see that she was truly talented, a natural leader.
“Should we leave?”
Alrisa questioned.
“Just like that? Shouldn’t we meet the Forge Leader?”
“No? Why would we meet him?”
“Just because…?”
Kael didn’t know.
“He will kick us out if we bother him without a reason.
Never do that.”
Alrisa warned.
“Alright…”
Kael just nodded.
This place really was different.
Just like that, the two of them left the Forge and the instant he came out, Kael felt the cold winds brushing his body, sending shivers down his spine.
“It’s getting colder.”
Alrisa commented with a grim look on her face. Kael nodded as well. The two of them had already worn their coats and were currently walking towards their houses.
“Aren’t you going to leave?”
Kael questioned as he noticed that she was still following him.
“My job ends once you return to your house. Before that, I am supposed to answer any questions you might have as you move around the town.”
Alrisa answered lightly.
“So if I keep wandering around, your job wouldn’t end, huh?”
Kael spoke with a playful smile on his face.
“Aren’t you tired?”
Alrisa questioned. Clearly, she didn’t wish to stay here any longer.
“You must take care of your health, Kael. This was just the first day. If you do not have proper rest, things will get difficult in the future.”
She spoke, trying to get him to return.
Kael laughed at that.
“You can leave, don’t worry about me.”
He spoke lightly, but in an instant, the woman shook her head.
“I cannot leave before I drop you to your house.”
She may be lazy, but it didn’t mean she was irresponsible.
“Alright…”
Kael just sighed.
The two of them walked towards Kael’s house. On their way, Kael asked many questions about various things, and Alrisa answered them all.
Then, once he was finally near his house, he pointed at it and—
“We are here.”
He smiled.
“Then I wil—”
Alrisa smiled as well, but before she could say anything, the two of them heard a sharp, suspicious voice,
