613 Chapter 613:- Flying Ship first test
"If you have any difficulties then don't hesitate to send letters back to the Dragon Palace. Even if I don't receive your letters, Spencer will help you out."
Helen nodded her head.
From the deck of the desert ship, Aditya looked at Helen and the Panther-clan's leader who was standing behind her. He then looked at the rest of the Lionrock City. In their 15 days of staying here, this whole city had completely changed.
Helen was indeed a hard-working City Lord. Even though she was pregnant, she did not slack off from work. She was very dedicated to her work. She was dedicated to improving the living standard of her city. She was a role model. Aditya felt that other City Lords should learn from her.
"I expect great things from you, Miss Helen. You're a powerful leader. Never be afraid of anything. Don't forget that the Istarin Empire is behind you and always will be backing you. Next time when I come here, I hope that I will see a new side of the Lionrock City." Aditya said as the desert ship started moving.
"I won't disappoint you, Your Majesty. You can count on me." Helen loudly said with a smile.
Helen, Panther-clan's Patriarch, and the rest of Infernal Abyss Dragons all stared at the desert ship until the ship was completely out of their sight.
Meanwhile, Aditya returned to the captain's cabin where everyone had gathered.
"So where are we heading next, Captain?" Julia playfully asked.
Alicia and Sasha were playing chess. Both of them looked really focused. Judging from the smug look that Alicia had on her face, it seemed that she was winning. As for Sasha, she was struggling. She was staring at the chessboard without even blinking her eyes.
"We are going to leave the Central Region behind for now. We have less than 15 days in our hands to reach our destination and visit Lara's home." The ruins of the Great Starry Sky Empire were located on the edge of the Beast Continent. To find the ruins, they would need to travel to the southern region.
Right now they were in the central region. To reach the southern region, their desert ship would need to keep heading in the direction of the south. The ruins were located at the very southern edge of the southern region.
"Aditya, I think our desert ship is traveling slower than usual." Lilith noticed this and said.
"Is it? I don't feel any change." Julia said.
"It is....!!!" Lilith was sure of it.
Now the desert ship was moving at the speed of 60 to 70 kilometers. Compared to before the desert ship was indeed moving slower.
Sigh....!!!!
Aditya sighed. "Lilith is right here. It is because of the fact that we are no longer in a desert. Desert ships could run the fastest in the sands. However since most of the central region is a semi-desert region, our desert ship's speed has slowed down."
"What's more, as we keep heading towards the southern direction, the semi-desert will start to turn into a savannah. At that time, our traveling speed will slow down even more. When that happens it would take at least 15 days or a month to reach the very edge of the Southern region."
"But don't worry I have been working on a solution. By tomorrow, the first flying ship will be ready for its test flight. I hope that everything goes smoothly and our experiment is successful." If everything went well, then Aditya and Percy were going to start working on turning this massive desert ship into the first-ever flying ship. Maybe calling the second-ever flying ship would be more accurate.
"You already have made a flying ship?" Julia asked in shock. She thought that this project was going to take at least another few months before coming anywhere near its completion.
Others also became curious about the flying ship hearing Julia, Lilith, and Aditya talking about it. Even Julia and Riya had paused their chess game to listen to their conversation.
"Flying ships? I never thought that this was even possible." Alicia said in a surprised tone. Although the concept of flying ships did cross her mind once when she was really young. At that time, she had seen a Wyvern. She wondered if it was possible for ships to fly. But when she became an adult, she realized that the flying ships were impractical.
"Flying ships will become a reality soon enough. I am not just talking about normal flying ships. I am talking about ships that will stay in the air forever."
"Forever....? But how….?" Sasha asked. Sasha was clueless since she wasn't that educated on this topic in the first place.
"Through teleportation arrays, I intend to connect large flying ships with the rest of the Istarin Empire. As long as everything was properly maintained and the ship wasn't damaged in any attacks, then it is possible that a flying ship will forever stay in the sky."
"Through Flying ships, the Istarin Empire will also have airbases." Hearing his words, everyone became super curious to
know what a flying ship would be like.
"Aditya, can you make a teleportation array in the deck of this desert ship?" Sasha suddenly asked.
"I can make one. Why? Do you want to go somewhere urgently?" Aditya asked.
"Well, yes. Tomorrow, I will need to head back for a few hours. I have a meeting." It was only Julia, Riya, and Lara remembered that Sasha was the head of the most powerful Assassin organization in the whole world. She was known as the best assassin in the whole world.
"Alright!!!" He had been planning to make a teleportation array on the deck of this ship for a while now but he never got the chance to do it as he has been busy with other works.
Having a teleportation array in the deck of their ship was going to make many things easier. They wouldn't need to use the public teleportation array anymore.
Aditya felt that he should have done this much earlier. The reason he did not do it was because he thought at the beginning of this journey that they wouldn't go back to the Istarin Empire. After all, this journey was supposed to be their much-needed holiday.
It was supposed to be their vacation.
But given the recent things that happened, this journey does not feel like a vacation anymore. But Aditya had to admit that he and others were still having a ton of fun.

Scene change____
The desert ship continued moving forward for the entire day and also night before the ship stopped in a deserted area. This area was far from any city or any village.
Aditya purposely chose this area since he did not want anyone to witness what they were going to do. Of course, hiding the flying ship was going to be impossible. Eventually, people are going to learn about it. And Aditya never planned to hide the flying ship anyway. But doing the experiment in a crowded area was going to bring them too much attention. This was something that they wished to avoid.
Julia, Alicia, Riya, Lara, Sasha, and Lilith patiently stood on the deck of the desert ship and watched as Aditya, Percy and some of his other men checked everything once again before the experiment began.
They wanted their first experiment to be a success. In order to not fail in their first experiment, Percy has rechecked everything many times in the last few days. Many times he had found the mistakes in his own work. This is the reason why the first experiment took so much time.
"Are the Mana stones in place?" Percy asked one of his subordinates.
"Yes, Sir!!!!"
"What about the Magic runes? Are they working properly?" Percy asked a second of his subordinate.
"Sir, the magic runes are working perfectly. The flying ship is ready for its first takeoff."
"Good...!!!!" Percy then turned his head to Aditya who was standing beside him.
"Your Majesty, please...!!!!" Aditya nodded his head and walked to the helm of the ship. Flying on this ship was really easy. Aditya kept everything easy and simple so that almost anyone with a little bit of basic training could operate a flying ship.
Aditya did not remove or change the wheel of the ship. Using this wheel, the direction of the ship will be controlled. Maybe in the future generations of the flying ships, he was going to modify the ship's steering wheel. But for now, this was going to work perfectly.
"We are going to succeed," Aditya assured them. After all, he, Percy, and his men had worked really hard for this project.
"Ready.....!!!!" Meanwhile, Julia and others excitedly waited for the big moment to come. They were going to become a part of history.
Today was going to be a new era for Ships. Today, the very first flying ship of this world was going to take off.
