Dragon Tamer

Chapter 691: Jade Blood Sword Spirit

Descending the staircase, Zhu Minglang discovered a sealing charm in place, which dissipated like ripples on water as he drew near.

Entering the lowest level and pushing open the massive stone door, Zhu Minglang beheld a honeycomb-like chamber, where each cell held a sword, handle outwards, creating a sight akin to a beehive constructed of swords that, under the extreme radiance of a very special fire pool in the center, appeared remarkably magnificent and filled with an impactful and solemn aura that shook one’s heart!

The fire pool was colossal, with flames surging and scorching despite no visible fuel, as if they had been burning for an unfathomable number of years.

Zhu Minglang could sense the peculiarity of these flames, no less potent than the Flame Core Sacred Root previously encountered beneath the Neon Sea Land Vein. Could this be the heavenly fire mentioned by Zhu Heavenly Officer, used for melting the Divine Blood Jade?

Under the illumination of this heavenly fire, the swords embedded in the surrounding stone cells remained rust-free, and even retained their sharpness over the years. Most noteworthy was a blood-red sword floating above the heavenly fire.

The sword was strikingly red, with a color so vibrant and slightly sinister. It rotated slowly above the heavenly fire as if it were a sinister king perched on high—majestic, aloof, even appearing to scrutinize Zhu Minglang, who had stepped into this layer of the sword nest, with a hint of hostility!

...

“Hummmmm~~~~~”

The Sword Spirit Dragon right behind Zhu Minglang now emitted a trembling sound, filled with profound alertness, as if facing a formidable enemy.

Suddenly, the Jade Blood Sword above the heavenly fire flew out on its own and, in a cutting motion, ruthlessly aimed toward Zhu Minglang. He slid backward a distance, and the Sword Spirit Dragon, unsheathing abruptly, flew in front of Zhu Minglang to block the Jade Blood Sword!!

“Ding ding ding ding ding!!!”

Sword against sword danced in the glow of the firelight in the chamber, their collisions sparking intense flames, the energy unleashed by their clash making the chamber tremble…

Soon the chamber grew noisier, and Zhu Minglang felt as if his ears would explode. Looking around, he saw various famous swords that had been inserted densely into the cells of the honeycomb walls also flying out, swirling around the Jade Blood Sword like subjects around their king, creating a visually striking sword-storm within the chamber!

Like countless carps dancing together in a vast pond, the swords maintained an orderly distance from one another.

“Sword… Sword Spirit!” Zhu Minglang exclaimed in shock!

So, the Jade Blood Sword was a Sword Spirit, too!

No wonder there was no knowledge of who the master of the Jade Blood Sword was—it was its own master!

This unreliable father.

His visit here was not for the Precious Teachings after all. He was being pushed into the nest of sword spirits; at least a heads-up would have been nice!

“Mo Ye, call the brothers!”

Zhu Minglang shouted to the Sword Spirit Dragon.

The Sword Spirit Dragon rose up, and behind it, a towering sword peak came into view, a dark sword mountain formed from countless abandoned swords, many of which possessed undying souls.

Abandoned Sword Forest, Miao Mountain Sword Tomb—with the Sword Spirit Dragon as their main body and all sword spirits sealed within it, now confronted by a similar Sword Spirit, how could the Sword Spirit Dragon show weakness!

If Sword Spirits elevate their Cultivation Base by devouring other swords, then the Jade Blood Sword, known as The Best Sword in the World, did the same. At this level, ordinary swords were no longer sufficient; they required famous swords with Sword Souls, or Sword Spirits with Spiritual Sense!!

Of course, the Sword Spirit Dragon is even on a higher level than the Sword Spirit, as it is a dragon that has awakened its Spiritual Sense.

Although the Jade Blood Sword is a Sword Spirit, it has not transformed into a dragon; it can only be considered as a Sword Spirit!

The Sword Holy Spirit, this fellow’s Cultivation Base must have surpassed fifty thousand years. The Sword Spirit Dragon is clearly struggling to contend with it.

The Sword Casting Hall’s thousands of swords are all the newest, sharpest, and finest, whereas the thousands of Sword Souls summoned by the Sword Spirit Dragon are mostly ancient, broken, rusty, and abandoned. As the two great sword groups collided, it was evident that the ancient Sword Souls were being shattered continuously while those new swords remained undamaged…

It was like a group of young adults combating a group of elderly on the brink of dusk. Quickly, the Sword Souls summoned by the Sword Spirit Dragon were suppressed.

The Jade Blood Sword Spirit was haughty and aggressive. It launched attack after attack as if it wanted to directly shatter the Sword Spirit Dragon, which was slammed against the walls several times, causing the searing glow on its blade to dim slightly.

“Sword Spirit Dragon, keep your composure, follow my thoughts!” Zhu Minglang closed his eyes, fusing his intentions completely with the Sword Spirit Dragon.

The Jade Blood Sword and all the other blades in this hall did not attack Zhu Minglang. They had only one goal, to devour the Sword Spirit Dragon.

But how could Zhu Minglang possibly allow such a thing to happen!

The flames in the fire pit flickered, and from time to time, a streak of brilliant fire soared up like a celestial bird rushing to the sky, colliding with the ceiling of the Sword Casting Hall’s underground palace. Then, it exploded into countless fiery petals that beautifully scattered down, brightening the entire chamber extraordinarily, and causing every perfectly polished sword to shine with unparalleled brilliance, radiance at its peak!

Zhu Minglang and the Sword Spirit Dragon achieved a Dragon Heart Thought Union, and he felt as if he were holding that sword, fighting the enemy together!

From the series of attacks just now, this Jade Blood Sword Disciple had a strong Cultivation Base but knew nothing about Swordsmanship. All its moves were savage and wild, whereas the Sword Spirit Dragon mastered various Sword Faction techniques. It didn’t matter how overpowering the opponent was; strength could counteract strength!

“Dodge!”

No longer recklessly clashing head-on, the Sword Spirit Dragon dodged the lateral sweep of the Jade Blood Sword. Then, Zhu Minglang used the Shadowless Sword, like a shadow, like a needle…

“Rushing Thunder Sword!”

The sword was like thunder and lightning, racing through the clouds. It was not only fast but also packed with formidable power!

Zhu Minglang had learned this from those Swordswomen and Wen Lingfei. Although his technique was still rough, it was sufficient to face the current situation!

When the Rushing Thunder Sword was unleashed, the Jade Blood Sword Spirit was immediately hurled away, slamming into the honeycomb-like rock wall and embedding deeply into that extremely hard rock.

But soon, the Jade Blood Sword Spirit shakily dislodged itself from the rock and hovered aloft. All the newly forged famous swords heeded the command of this Sword Spirit master. In an instant, a dense array of brilliant swords like a rain of blazing flames hovered, all their tips pointing towards the Sword Spirit Dragon!

“Firefly Sword Technique, Coiling Dragon!”

The blades danced, and in an instant, those Sword Souls turned into flickering Firefly Sword shadows. Comprised of Sword Fires spiraling with Sword Souls, the resulting Coiling Dragon Sword swarms were just as imposing and did not falter in the face of these newly forged edge swords!

“Clang clang clang clang block!!!!”

On one side, the savage rain of swords erupted, and on the other, the orderly spiraling sword Qi interwove. This collision was no longer one-sided. The Sword Spirit Dragon’s thousands of ancient, rusty, and abandoned Sword Souls attracted and protected each other, finally shaking the thousands of newly forged famous swords!
