Kwon Qianhong arrived in an uplifted mood. And his mood became even better once he saw how much riches did this small compound of Corrupt Path cultivators manage to amass over who knows how much time.

They were no longer speaking in terms of hundreds of gold, which were already big money.

At least in the Soft Meadow Continent such money would not be seen exchanged in almost any circumstances, and the entire monthly earnings of the Thousand Eyes Palace within the Silver Wing City would be counted in hundreds of gold.

Here in the Emerald Falls City, of course, that sum was much less impressive, but it still allowed them a good inn, restaurants, and other things.

Kwon Qianhong’s various schemes started to slowly propel their fortune into thousands, and the nobleman’s wealth they took instantly raised that to a few tens of thousands, though much of it was in unsold goods.

Here, in Lord Muo’s personal Spatial Ring, as well as the treasury they discovered later, they obtained chests with roughly 300 thousand Wei Dynasty gold, as well as 20 thousand in the neighboring Rang Dynasty gold, which roughly traded one to one. Not to mention small sums of money of other Dynasties that bordered Wei Dynasty.

There were of course money in other Spatial Rings and buildings, which Kwon Qianhong meticulously collected even if it was a single copper coin that long ago fell into the crack between two wooden planks of the floor.

Most of the possessions they recovered here, on the other hand, were unsuited for sale, since they were specific to the Corrupt Path, so pure cash was all of the financial gain. But that pure cash loot alone was so good that even Kwon Qianhong didn’t complain… at least not that much.

“If that Yang attribute medicine that Boss is interested in goes for an auction, will we be able to compete for it now?”, Old Yen asked, prompting Kwon Qianhong to make a devastated face, grabbing the Spatial Ring with the money that he was preciously holding with fingers and looking at just before, tightly holding it with both hands close to his chest and slightly turning to shield it from Old Yen.

“Haha, no, of course not”, Wu Long shook his head with a chuckle, “If it does go to auction, and is of the level I think it is, it would likely go for a bit over a million gold, maybe more if any of the Dual Cultivation Sects decides to go all in on it”

“If… do you think it might not be auctioned off?”, Sui Luxiao asked with surprise.

“It might, but not for certain. It depends on who is holding on to it now. If it is one of the princes, it might be used for political gains rather than financial ones”, Wu Long nodded.

“What would the support of Dual Cultivation Sects do for a prince?”, Nie Xiwang asked curiously, since for the Wood Spirit Empire, only their connection to the Profound Music Palace mattered, while other Sects were basically irrelevant to the Imperial Family.

“Dual Cultivation Sects, as all other Sects, of course provide many goods and services to the countries and Trading Companies around, but their unique, and quite important for Dynasties in particular, export is Harmonic Pills containing potent Yin or Yang Qi, used not only by Dual Cultivators but those who experience imbalance of their Yin or Yang, as well as Conception and Contraception Pills that increase or eliminate the chances of pregnancy, which are far more important the higher one’s cultivation is”

“So specific medicinal pills… does that not make them a rival to those specializing in Alchemy like the Alchemy Association?”, Yu Huan asked.

“Not particularly”, Wu Long shook his head, “Harmonic Alchemy Dao is a branch of Alchemy Dao in which Alchemists outside of the Dual Cultivation Sects hold little expertise, or interest. Not to mention, as you can guess, Alchemists who are also Dual Cultivators create the best medicinal pills of that type. And the Harmonic Qi that is required to produce these pills is found in its best quality in the Sects that practice methods to make their Harmonic Qi more potent. So either way, Dual Cultivators would become major suppliers for the creation of the pills”

But as Yu Huan nodded with understanding, Wu Long added one more thing, “Although… there is one thing that the Alchemy Association does hold a grudge against Dual Cultivators… and that is life-prolonging medicine”

“Eh?”, Liang Yuhan raised her eyebrows, same as Ye Ling, as it was the first time for the both of them to hear of that.

“Life prolonging-medicine, not the illegal kind produced by Corrupt Path, though the ones who made it illegal is the Alchemy Association, but a legitimate one produced with rare Alchemy ingredients, used to be an exclusive product of the Alchemy Association, its long and incredibly strictly held secret, which only their most senior and trusted core members were allowed to produce. Which was why they were always in short supply and ludicrously expensive”, Wu Long smiled at the reaction of the two, “The main reason I got into trouble with the Alchemy Association is because I discovered that if you mix Yin Qi and Yang Qi in their pure energy state outside of Dual Cultivating, in just the right way and apply a few tricks, you will get not a child but pure Life Qi”

As he spoke, the faces of Liang Yuhan and Ye Ling changed to both shock and a realization of how deep ‘in trouble’ Wu Long was with the Alchemy Association. He basically became their nemesis.

“But… I thought you were titled God of Pleasure because of the three of the Seven Paths of Pleasure you made public… isn’t this…”, Luo Mingyu slightly frowned, finding it slightly strange.

“A bigger achievement? Haha, yes, but it is widely contested by the Alchemy Association that I ‘killed an alchemist who was slated to become a member of the Association, and who came up with this method first’, so publicly it is ambiguous if it is my achievement or not”, Wu Long shrugged.

“I assume that alchemist you killed tried to kill you?”, Nie Xiwang asked.

“Correct, I wasn’t an Alchemist after all, so I needed one to test how the concept I came up with could be made into a Pill. The first one I turned to was someone I sponsored for a long time and arguably made into the accomplished Alchemist he was, he was also my go-to Alchemist for quite some time”, Wu Long nodded.

“And someone like that tried to kill you?!”, Hua Ziyan exclaimed with fury rising in her eyes just thinking about it, as the same emotions could be seen in the eyes of many of the beauties.

Gong Cui’s huffing and puffing as she couldn’t find a way to express just how overwhelming her feeling of anger swelled, beyond what any words or any facial expression could really get across, caused Wu Long to smile and gently pat her head, which seemed to somewhat calm her down.

Although some were almost equally as shocked as they were angered, to learn someone who was by Wu Long’s side for long and thus knew his strength would think that he had a chance.

He then answered, “Ambition and greed, can be a dangerous combination, and can transform even some good and trustworthy people, as well as make them do crazy things no rational human being would ever consider doing. If he made that his own discovery, who knows, maybe one day in the future he could lay a claim to the title of the Alchemy God, in addition to the immediate fame and fortune”

As he saw the faces of the beauties struggling to come to terms with such a rationalization of that situation, he chuckled, as he started pampering them with kisses and hugs to relieve some of that frustration.

In any case, they were done with emptying everything they could in this place.

“One last thing left”, Wu Long said, as Kwon Qianhong who was already turning toward the exit with a satisfied smile, turned around with lightning speed, shocked at the fact he missed something, and then became surprised at seeing Wu Long looking at the pond.
