“Crackle!” Glimmers of lightning appeared everywhere in Desolate Frontier. They could come from blades of grass - a sign of what was coming.
Moreover, this gestating lightning had a touch of the fire affinity capable of burning cultivators to a crisp upon contact. This scared the hell out of everyone - an instinctive response to heavenly tribulations.
Moreover, this wasn’t an imperial tribulation but a primal one. Only a few emperors had to surpass one but theirs couldn’t compare to this one.
Even Crimson Virtue and his peers shuddered upon sensing it. They heard about primal tribulations before and how they varied depending on the cultivator.
Rumor has it that the longer one spent cultivating, the larger the tribulation. Of course, there was no verifying this.
They had a serious expression because this was also an opportunity to learn before experiencing one themselves.
“Ooo-” Suddenly, a massive figure rushed into the air from Lost Peak and caused loud clanks from chains.
“The three-headed viper!” Others shouted in astonishment.
It leaped into the air, perhaps frightened by the tribulation or something else.
“What is it doing?” Spectators became anxious since they were aware of its power. It furiously roared and broke the chains, regaining its freedom.
“What?!” Crimson Virtue’s group became startled.
“Where are Goldclad and Lostmetal?!” Dragon-pill shouted.
Everyone exchanged glances of confusion. Lost Peak was deserted by the emperors so no one watched over this viper.
It flew upward, not targeting anyone but Driedtree Emperor to everyone’s horror.
“The tribulation must be triggering its bestial instinct and driving it crazy.” A desolate god said.
Others agreed with this because ultimately, the viper was a poisonous beast. Aggression was in its nature regardless of its power.
“Boom!” It crossed through the air; each of its heads shot out something different - flame, ice, and a miasmic fog.
“Watch it!” Crimson Virtue’s group couldn’t help in time.
However, Driedtree didn’t need it. She remained composed despite being preoccupied with the tribulation.
“Prepare for death, beast.” She said while raising one hand, conjuring a gigantic branch from various affinities.
It blocked the tri-elemental attack without any problem. After all, she had almost gained a primal anima.
“Boom!” Her supreme grand dao in the form of a golden dragon attacked with a tail whip.
The mighty viper stood no chance against someone so close to becoming a primal ancestor and was smashed to the ground.
“Ooo-” It roared and got back up, wanting to attack again.
She didn’t give it a chance and transformed the branch into a saber.
“World Cutter.” She unleashed a slash wielding the power of anima. It had a withering property, capable of drying out life before the physical impact.
“Please show mercy!” Someone shouted.
“Don’t!” Another shouted at the same time.
They traveled through the dimensions to save the three-headed viper.
“Goldclad and Lostmetal Emperor!” Spectators recognized them.
Crimson Virtue’s group frowned after seeing this.
The duo only worried about saving the viper and not anything else, hence their attacks against Driedtree.
“Gold Sea!” Goldclad summoned his tree and used its power to create a liquid inferno. It wrapped around Driedtree, burning mountains along the way,
“Lostmetal Descent!” Lostmetal roared and revealed his supreme grand dao. While empowered by his anima tree, it sent down metallic meteors.
“Scram. Boundless Frontier.” Her eyes turned cold as she chose a palm technique.
The aura of this technique shocked everyone since it was their progenitor’s famous attack.
“Desolate Palm!” Many shouted in astonishment.
