“He came to find you.” Li Qiye said.

“I’m afraid as a student, I shouldn’t be revealing my teacher’s secrets.” Virtuoso smiled wryly.

“Hiding and running, must be doing something unsavory, unlike his righteous conduct and reputation.” Li Qiye said.

“You know the teacher?” Virtuoso figured out Li Qiye wasn’t just asking out of curiosity.

“Long ago.” Li Qiye said: “Given his personality, everything should be out in the open.”

Virtuoso agreed because his teacher was trusted by all of Old World. Everyone had nothing but praise for Orchid Sage, a selfless cultivator.

He never hid cultivation secrets and techniques, always happy to teach both talented students and otherwise.

Virtuoso was a prime example since he hid his identity and pretended to be a nobody. Nevertheless, Orchid Sage still taught him the best available zither merit laws.

He treated all students without prejudice regarding their talent. Because of this, Staff Ancestor still called him “teacher” despite being considerably more powerful.

“The teacher must have his reasons, I’m sure.” Virtuoso said.

“The reason is to take the blame for someone else.” Li Qiye smiled.

“What makes you say that?” Virtuoso asked.

“It couldn’t have been a personal matter since he wouldn’t have stayed hidden for so long. Someone else must be involved.” Li Qiye said.

“You must know him well.” Virtuoso said: “You must ask him yourself since I am not in a position to speak on this matter. I’ve never been to the place left behind by Staff Ancestor either.”

“If I want to find him, he can’t hide. I can wait until he wants to speak.” Li Qiye waved his hand.

“Thank you, Sir.” Virtuoso heaved a sigh of relief and bowed since he didn’t wish to divulge further information.

“Boom!” The area quaked as if something had just slammed into Imperial League. This scared the hell out of its members.

“What’s going on?!” The emperors became alarmed too and looked up. This was not an attack from Isles of Evil.

A power cut through the waves and split the ocean open for ten million miles.
