CHAPTER 528
With the problem they faced in the industry thanks to Yu Weilan's accident, it was hard for Fang Qian Qian not to get any information about it.
"Arrrgh!"
Fang Qian Qian threw her cup of wine against the wall, releasing another deep yell as her chest rose and fell with each susceptive deep breath.
"Damn you, Andromeda Kai!" she cussed louder than before. "And Yu Weilan, is there anything you are good for?" she asked no one in particular.
"Tsk. I did all I could, placed her on a path to success, and what do I get? An accident and straight-up disappointment in reacquiring her original role as Xu Ming!"
Fang Qian Qian grumbled for some time at how everything had been falling apart since Andromeda's arrival, while calling Yu Weilan a failure and someone unworthy of her help.
"A lot of actresses would be glad to receive help from me in getting high, but Yu Weilan and that bitch... tsk," she fumed, crossing both hands in front of her chest.
Everything had been going so well, including cornering Director Qi. Now it all fell apart, and her minion was injured.
"Umm, sorry to say, Qian Qian," a soft voice beckoned on her from the side where the owner sat graciously on the couch. "I believe your real problem is the director," the lady suggested.
Saying that, the lady turned her head to the side and gave a nod to the maid, who had been attending to them a few seconds ago.
At her signal, the young maid scurried off towards the kite, returning a minute later with a vacuum cleaner to clear up the broken shards of glass on the floor.
"Fang Qian Qian," the lady continued, "why do you let yourself get so worked up? By now, you should know who your real enemy is and prepare to take them out."
"Enh?"
Although she did not look at her friend directly, she gave her a listening ear.
"I believe Director Qi is to blame. Had he not given Andromeda a chance, none of these would have happened," she insinuated.
Fang Qian Qian whipped her head to the side where she sat, her expression filled with deep rage as she stared at her friend.
"You do have a point, Lisa. They caused everything."
"Hmm mm," Lisa nodded and placed her glass on the table beside her.
"Especially, Director Qi," Fang Qian Qian gritted. "But… How do I take care of him? This is his movie. He is very important in every aspect of it."
Her once vexed expression instantly dropped, mixed with uncertainty and weakness, at a loss for what to do.
"Qian Qian, I do not know why the thought alone is making you feel weak. Who are you?"
Fang Qian Qian lifted her jaw. Her eyes were instantly filled with courage and pride as she stared at the lady.
Taking this as her cue, she rose to her feet, dismissed the maid, and walked over to where her friend stood.
"Who are you?" She whispered challengingly into Fang Qian Qian's ears in a subtle voice.
"I'm Qian Qian. Only daughter of Mr. Fang and heir to the Fang Dynasty."
"There you have it. And who is the puny director who you can squash in your eyes?"
"Qi Fuyi."
"Good."
"But..." she blinked, turning fully to face her friend. "I may be Fang Qian Qian, but Director Qi is still out of my reach."
Lisa chuckled at her friend's dilemma, slowly shaking her head. "Is he, though?"
Having the Fang name proved she was strong and able to make some demands from whomever.
Her family owned one of the biggest jewelry, restaurants and hotels in the city. A sigle cough from her and many were ready to do anything she wanted.
Thanks to that, rising in the entertainment industry was a piece of cake for her.
Fang Qian Qian blinked at that statement. 'Is he though?' She replayed Lisa's words in her mind over and over again.
It did not take long for Lisa to sense her confusion and decided to come to her rescue.
"Liu Xueyi was the one I knew who was out of your reach. Director Qi, on the other hand, I am not so sure."
"What do you mean?"
"Think for yourself, Qian Qian, and do not let your rage cloud your cunningness. Use your influence as the Fang's heiress and one of the major investors to shake Director Qi; let them know who's boss."
Lisa's eyes glinted with mischief. A coy smile danced at the corners of her lips as she chuckled wildly.
"Who's that director in need of some financing? Push him, make him standout," she advised.
"Wait. That's like…" Fang Qian Qian's eyes lit up. "That's like what he did to Andromeda and me."
"Hmm, mm, you said it."
"I should let funding shift to someone else. He'd be in a dilemma for his movie and would have no choice but to ask for my help in begging my father."
"Yes." Lisa nodded. "I bet Liu Jinchen won't take things lightly. Especially after exposing the problems Yu Weilan was in and the issues the B-List actress he brought in have caused."
"Sigh. He doesn't see her that way as a B-list actress. To him and all those who witnessed the audition, Andromeda has become an A-List actress."
Having heard the series of praises coming from her co-workers and those interviewed recently, Fang Qian Qian's anger and jealousy skyrocketed.
With connections and other ways, she got to the top and retained her position there. However, Andromeda was getting it easily with every opportunity thrown her way.
It had only been two months since she joined, yet she was already making waves. How could she? Fang Qian Qian thought.
"This isn't hard, Fang Qian Qian. Do what you have always done."
Fang Qian Qian raised a brow at her friend, suggesting a better explanation. Left to her, she had done all she could for now, yet Andromeda had tough skin.
"Remember actress Vera Hao and how we made her hit rock bottom when..."
Lisa had not finished her words when Fang Qian Qian gasped, a realisation setting in her mind. "On-set injury."
Fang Qian Qian's eyes beamed with mischief, briefly recalling everything that had happened in the past.
"Yu Weilan shouldn't be the only one with an injury, if you know what I mean. Subtle but dangerous without any trace."
She nodded eagerly as a cruel smile crept up her lips. "I know just the right way to go about it, bestie. Leave it to me."

Yu Weilan, on the other hand, was completely in shock at how she disgraced herself and lost her chance at becoming Xu Ming in the movie.
Deep regret surged through her as she took her time rethinking everything that had happened.
Had she not listened to Fang Qian Qian and focused on her recovery and physiotherapy, she would have been back on set by now.
Sadly, she strained her ankle even more, forcing herself to live a life filled with lies.
But deep down, she could still not find fault in herself for her misfortune and when she caught sight of Andromeda's name on social media, her rage deepened.
"Andromeda Kai, you may rise now, but I'll make sure you fall and hit rock bottom."
