Chapter 2819: Divine

Alex waited for Death to be done with the battle. The moment he felt like there were going to be no more beasts coming, he immediately went to her and flew into her Divine Sea.

Inside, he found the sea quite shallow, definitely shallower than what he had seen the last time. Either he had done the right thing in coming here immediately, or the beasts had just been more troublesome for her.

Either way, he had certainly made some improvement. Although, this was still not enough for him to do anything with it.

The ocean appeared to rise at a steady rate, so there was nothing Alex could do there. He left the Divine Sea and started collecting the Sunhearts again before the Sunwraiths finished forming.

At the same time, he also absorbed more of the blood aura. The deeper they went, the stronger the beasts were, and thus stronger the blood aura. So, after absorbing all the available blood aura in the surrounding, he was ready to leave.

Alex took Death deeper and deeper, and from the looks of it, there was still a lot of distance for them to walk before they came anywhere close to reaching the center.

Alex and Death encountered more beasts along the way, which resulted in hundreds of thousands more beasts getting lured to the location and being killed.

While everyone fought, Alex alone was the recipient of all the benefits from those kills. He got the blood aura and thousands of Sunhearts, Beast cores, and Beast cores infected with Sunhearts.

He sent all of them over to Pearl, who took care of everything.

Along the way, Alex also continued experimenting more with Death, trying to see how she would react to certain things. He tried to carry her, leave her, attack her. But no matter what he did, her reaction didn’t change.

She allowed him to carry her. She allowed him to attack her. And when he left, she would just wait for him to return.

He fed her pills, one after another, all of which were Divine pills too. He gave her healing pills, cultivation pills, and even one Spiritual pill to recover her Divine Sea.

He was quickly going through his small supply of Divine pills he had received after winning the tournament. And yet, none of them helped at all.

Alex made sure to see how the pills reacted with her body, but from the looks of it, they did absolutely nothing at all. It was impossible to tell whether the pills had no effect on her body because of the state she was in or some other reason.

Divine aura was difficult for him to understand with just his limited senses.

When the pills didn’t do anything, however, Alex knew he had to find some other ways to learn more about her.

The more Alex whittled down the list of possibilities as to what was happening with Death, the more flustered he became. With each option gone, he had less and less understanding of what was happening.

However, those thoughts weren’t that troubling when faced with the fact that each day, his blood aura was growing stronger and stronger. By now, it had long since gone beyond the Immortal Spirit 9th realm.

However, to reach the next level required it to become so much stronger.

And finally, after over a month of coming to the Core region, Alex absorbed so much blood aura that he had no doubt he had done it.

His blood aura had reached the Divine realm.

A large sandstorm swept through the desert one night, so Alex formed a small pocket into the sand, where he and Death stayed.

Death didn’t sit at all even when dragged down. She bent her knees, but the moment he let go, she stood right back up.

Alex was exhausted from dragging her along, so he let her be and went through his Spiritual Sea and Soul Space to see if everything was all right.

By now, opening a hole in either was an easy task for him. Holding it open too was easy, albeit troublesome since it meant he had to constantly pour his Spiritual sense in there.

He would rather not do that.

The Spiritual Sea required nothing more than a cursory glance. With Godslayer in a sort of hibernation, the only thing he needed to check on was whether or not the yellow fog was back.

But since he didn’t have the time to consume Sunhearts in a while now, that threat hadn’t come at all.

His Origins were growing properly too, but it would take a while before they were large enough to be at the threshold to allow him to reach the next cultivation realm.

Because almost everything inside of his body had surpassed the requirement for breakthrough, the only things that remained were the density of his Qi, the state of his meridians, and finally the size of his Origin.

As soon as those three issues were dealt with, he could move on to Immortal Origin 6th realm.

It was funny to think how far behind his cultivation base was now compared to everything else. Even his Spiritual energy, which was constantly suppressed by the seal, was much stronger than that—around the start of Immortal Spirit realm.

His Sword was right around there as well, perhaps a bit stronger.

Of course, neither of those had anything on his body and blood. His body had reached the peak of the Immortal realms, and his blood had clearly reached the Divine realm.

Alex was still stunned to think this was him. Never would he have thought that in less than 80 years after being banished to Hell, he would have made such a degree of improvement.

In a way, he was thankful he was sent to Hell. But of course, the other emotions took precedence.

Alex opened his Soul Space and sent his Spiritual sense inside to let Pearl and the others know about the good news. Beyond that, he also wanted to chat with Playground, that hopefully would give him some direction with Death.
