Chapter 1355: Freedom Mystic Temple

Impossible! It was conceivable that someone with the Night Leaning Moon’s personality would do something like this for the sake of her disciple. But given Mystic Moon’s understanding of Night Leaning Moon, she would never do something like this.
It did not take long for Mystic Moon to come up with a possibility.
When taking into consideration the fact that Night Leaning Moon had heard about the Moon Empress’ circumstance from Cicada Song, this possibility would explain everything.
It was clear from the fact that Night Leaning Moon had summoned the Dark Sky Prajna that it did not plan on settling the issue of the First Emperor Shark Clan publicly breaking the agreement between the Radiance Federation and the Eight Clans of Sea Emperors peacefully. She planned on employing martial force instead.
The darkness in the sky was still accumulating, and the immense night power swallowed the sky in every part of the entire main world.
The people from the various federations around the world summoned their feys that could produce light or spiritual ingredients that could glow as they looked up nervously at the sky. They assumed that the end of the world was upon them.
In the Azure Federation, the experts from the ten major families levitated in the air. They released azure light that was manipulated using spirit qi into various magnificent feys.
They looked up at the sky with stormy expressions, and it was clear that they were deep in thought.
The azure light from an elderly man turned into an elegant leopard, and he thought, Linlin and the other Radiance Envoys must be more than halfway through their journey to the Radiance Federation. Why has the Radiance Federation suddenly turned the sky dark? Are they starting something big?
A worried expression came over the elderly man’s face. He could be worried about what could be stirring in the Radiance Federation or worried for Yin Lin’s safety.
Inside an ancient castle with a tiled roof sat an open-air temple made of ivory stone...
There was a large courtyard outside of this temple that was covered with large pieces of sunstones that shrouded the temple with a celestial smattering of light.
Each of the 16 white pillars in the temple was covered with a different gold etching.
These patterns had a special meaning, and anyone who looked at them would find themselves entranced.
It was as though each of the etchings was an ascending road. However, the roads seemed to have been obstructed and could not stretch out smoothly.
The stone pillars reflected light off each other, indicating that they were completing each other.
Every stone pillar had a red statue behind it. However, one of the red statues had been completely crushed. The crushed statue contrasted heavily with the completely spotless temple and white stone pillars.
There were 16 seats and 48 worship pads neatly arranged inside the temple.
Each of the 48 worship pads was occupied by a white-robed elderly man. The 48 white-robed elderly men were looking up at the dark sky.
14 of the 16 seats were occupied by striking figures.
These 14 figures wore long red robes with gold patterns embroidered. All of them were looking up at the sky thoughtfully.
One of the 14 figures played with strands of her hair while stroking the gems embedded on the chair’s armrest as she drawled, “Wow, causing a celestial phenomenon. I wonder if it’s caused by that phoenix in Heavenly Fey Pavilion or that cold Night Empress in the Radiance Federation.”
A steady voice said, “There is a strange aura hidden in this celestial phenomenon. It’s clear that it’s the work of the Night Empress from the Radiance Federation. Na Na, your eyesight is slipping. Every time your Disaster World Faceless Beast reincarnates, your brain becomes blurry.”
The woman rolled her eyes at the golden-haired middle-aged man sitting nearby and said with amusement, “You wouldn’t have dared to say this to me before my Disaster World Faceless Beast reincarnated. Chi En, you always use your courage in the best ways.”
The golden-haired middle-aged man scoffed and replied, “Na Na, this isn’t the first time you’re experiencing my courage.”
Na Na started to grip the armrest with more force, and the scratching of her red nails on the gems let out an ear-piercing screech.
The woman started to giggle but did not respond to Chi En even when she was done. It was clear that the two of them did not have an amicable relationship.
A chubby man rubbed his protruding belly and said, “The night power is gathering southwest of the Freedom Federation. If I’m right, that is the place that Du Miao gave to the First Emperor Shark Clan from the Eight Clans of Sea Emperors. It looks like the First Emperor Shark Clan offended the Radiance Federation’s Night Empress in some way.”
The man grinned and chuckled as his eyes shined with scheming intelligence.
Na Na looked at one of the empty chairs and said, “Du Miao worked out a deal with the First Emperor Shark Clan and would rather stay with the First Emperor Shark clan than return to the Freedom Mystic Temple even once a month to pay his respects.
“If the Night Empress is only targeting the Eight Clans of Sea Emperors, I don’t think there’s any need for us to interfere. The Eight Clans of Sea Emperors are working with Du Miao, and we didn’t get any share of the benefits. So, it’s natural that he must deal with some consequences himself.”
She slowly pulled a jewel-encrusted hairpin out of her red robe and affixed it to the hair covering half of her face. Next, she closed her eyes and continued paying her respects as though the strange celestial phenomenon was not occurring at all.
When the other 13 figures heard what Na Na said, some of them looked amused while others looked deep in thought. All of them had their own opinions.
But eventually, all of them followed in Na Na’s lead and closed their eyes to start paying respects.
At that moment, faint figures appeared in the dark sky, and they turned into a mask above the sea southwest of the Freedom Federation.
A black snake curled around the mask and slithered through the holes in the mask.
Suddenly, the mask turned a deep purple, and the snake melded into the mask, with two of the holes on the mask turning into the snake’s large eyes.
Soon, it was as though a door had opened in the mask, and shadows flowed out and cascaded down to the sea, staining the water black.
All the life brimming in the sea was snuffed out, and the sea turned into a prison woven from darkness. Any lifeform trapped within the prison would immediately wither.
At that moment, a giant wave 10,000 meters tall rose out of the black sea. A red shark let out a devastating howl from within the enormous wave.
