2202 Fly Into a Rage?
The most prominent sight in the Freezing Hammer Tribe was Snow Celestial Mountain.
In fact, the main palace faced the Snow Celestial Mountain, and the snow-capped mountain could be faintly seen from the entrance of the palace.
Sha Sha had never heard of someone paying attention to the changes that happened on Snow Celestial Mountain.
It could be understandable if Luo Lan just asked someone to note the changes once a day. But Luo Lan had asked them to record the changes hourly. This is very unusual.
Suddenly, a thought struck Sha Sha’s mind.
After Luo Lan became ruler of the Iron Hammer Federation, she asked every tribe to worship a statue of that mystical young man.
If some tribes voiced that they wanted to worship her, Luo Lan would state that the statue of her had to be smaller and positioned below the one of the young man.
In the past, only the statue of the celestial being on Snow Celestial Mountain was permitted to be positioned above the statue of the ruler of the imperial court. But both had to be the same size.
But under Luo Lan’s rule, the statue of the young man not only sat above the one above that of the celestial being but was even larger.
This meant that Luo Lan wanted to change the object of the Iron Hammer Federation’s faith.
Since the young man had rescued all of them, the Iron Hammer Federation’s tribe members were very accepting of this change.
Luo Lan’s order was carried out smoothly.
Sha Sha took time every day to pray to the statue of the young man.
At first, she had not thought much of it. But now, taking into consideration what was happening in the Iron Hammer Federation, they were essentially committing blasphemy against the celestial being on Snow Celestial Mountain.
There was no way that Luo Lan was paying attention to the changes to Snow Celestial Mountain to plead for help from the celestial being. A more likely reason was that she feared punishment coming from the celestial being.
Luo Lan was not the type to lose heart in the face of challenges.
The change in her demeanor was likely due to her decision to let the young man who the entire Iron Hammer Federation was worshiping now step in and handle the situation.
With that thought, Sha Sha relaxed slightly.
She did not know Lin Yuan well, but she knew he possessed a lot of power.
Power was the only way to quell chaos.
Soon, Ni Xing returned to the Absolute Cold Garden with a thick booklet in her hands.
Luo Lan had asked for detailed reports on the situation in Snow Celestial Mountain and said that the more thorough the information was, the better.
As a result, the attendants in charge of the recording had paid extra attention.
One reason for this was that the attendants wanted to leave a good impression on this new ruler of the imperial court. If Luo Lan found them to be incompetent, their chances of being promoted in the future would be dashed.
Luo Lan would definitely follow up on a task she had given out personally.
Another reason was that the attendants believed that the change in the Iron Hammer Federation’s object of faith would draw out a reaction from Snow Celestial Mountain.
After all, the attendants had heard Snow Celestial Mountain’s legends ever since they were children.
Ni Xing handed the thick booklet to Luo Lan and said, “The attendants who did the recording are much too detailed. They recorded the hourly wind direction, the size of snowflakes, and the direction that the snow peak was leaning in. A single day’s records take up a full 30 sheets of paper. For your convenience, I made some markings of the important content.”
When Ni Xing handed the booklet to Luo Lan, she noticed that Sha Sha’s looked more relaxed than she previously did.
Ni Xing was shocked by this. She did not know what had transpired in the short 20 minutes that she had been absent.
But out of respect, Ni Xing could not ask Sha Sha about it now when they were right in front of Luo Lan and her imposing authority.
Luo Lan received the booklet from Ni Xing and sat down on a stone bench before she started to flip through the records.
Previously, Luo Lan had been focused on the Iron Hammer Federation’s development and management. Thus, this was the first time that she was reading the records.
All she had done was tell Ni Xing to report to her if there were any unusual occurrences.
Since she had not received any reports from Ni Xing about Snow Celestial Mountain, Luo Lan had not expected anything from the booklet to catch her eye.
Luo Lan knew that Lin Yuan was about to arrive at any moment.
Lin Yuan had a clear interest in Snow Celestial Mountain and was only coming to the Iron Hammer Federation because of Snow Celestial Mountain.
Thus, Luo Lan decided to familiarize herself with Snow Celestial Mountain’s situation before Lin Yuan arrived so she could answer whatever questions he had.
As such, Luo Lan started to read through the entire report rather than just the parts that Ni Xing had marked out.
When they saw Luo Lan immersing herself in the booklet, Ni Xing and Sha Sha stood next to her silently for fear of disturbing her.
When she reached the middle of the booklet, Luo Lan’s brows slowly knitted into a frown.
There was a sea of information about Snow Celestial Mountain recorded in the booklet, but the parts that Ni Xing had marked out were trivial pieces, such as the wind speed and size of snowflakes. She had completely ignored the recording attendants’ notes that they could clearly feel themselves getting increasingly colder.
Most of the Iron Hammer Federation was blanketed in snow, even during summer. Thus, there was no habit of recording one’s own temperature.
All of the attendants were in the pink of health and wearing the same clothes throughout. Yet, they could clearly feel themselves getting colder.
This meant that the temperature around Snow Celestial Mountain was dropping.
Although very few people paid attention to Snow Celestial Mountain in the past, no experts had ever reported temperatures dropping while they were hunting for resources nearby Snow Celestial Mountain.
The more of the booklet Luo Lan read, the deeper her frown became.
The two attendants today observing Snow Celestial Mountain and recording the changes stated that their hands and feet had suffered different degrees of frostbite.
Both of these attendants were pinnacle king-class experts, and temperatures had to be sub-60 degrees to result in them suffering frostbite.
Given the abrupt drop in temperatures around Snow Celestial Mountain, Luo Lan could be certain that the celestial being on Snow Celestial Mountain had flown into a rage.
