Countless gazes landed on Wu Lingchong, boring into him like daggers. Many of them made no attempt to conceal their murderous intent.

Fire Crow City was bustling and prosperous, its streets and allies intertwined like a spider’s web. There were creatures of all races all over the place, people of all shapes and colors. Some of the more unique ones, not even Su Yi had seen before. It was an eye-opening experience.

“Go find an inn,” ordered Su Yi.

He’d been traversing the River of Epochs ever since he left the Immortal Realm. Although he hadn’t encountered any danger to speak of, it had been a tedious and exhausting trip.

After all, he had to stave off the aura of the epochs at every moment.

He planned to rest up in Fire Crow City, and gather information while he was at it. He wanted to get a sense for the situation on the River of Epochs

“Senior, they call this place the Fire Crow Divine Palace. Long ago, Evil God Fire Crow cultivated here, only to one day vanish inexplicably. The palace has been ownerless ever since,” explained Yuchi Jia.

Su Yi’s eyes narrowed, but then, he laughed. “This place isn’t bad.”

Yuchi Jia smiled. “I’m just glad you’re pleased with it, Senior.”

He paused, then said, “Senior, if you’re willing to show mercy, I promise that His Excellency the Blazing Sun Demon Monarch will aside all former grudges and welcome you with open arms. What do…”

Su Yi waved his hand to stop him. “I’ve always been a man of my word.”

Yuchi Jia let out a long sigh. “This junior understands.”

Before long, he bade them farewell.

Wu Lingchong could no longer hold back. “The Fire Crow Divine Palace is a perilous place, and everyone in the city knows it! No one dares draw near. How… How could you agree to spend the night there?”
