Global Beast Mastery: Only I Can See the Hints

Chapter 600 - 600: The Divine Beast is About to Appear

The mystical beast emitting a rainbow-colored glow was the light attribute Divine Beast, the Light Dragon. However, it was still in its juvenile stage and did not appear to be very powerful.

Isolde’s voice then reached the ears of the Light Dragon, saying, “Wait a little longer. I know you sensed Charles and are eager to act.”

For Isolde, it wouldn’t be perfect if the secret realm ended like this. He still needed Charles to continue his performance, so that the Beast Masters from the Haunted Marsh could be further shaken.

The Light Dragon had far superior perception of light and dark attribute energy compared to other Beast Masters and mystical beasts. The ninth-level Beast Masters outside the secret realm couldn’t detect the pure light attribute energy inside Charles, but when Charles left the maze, the Light Dragon had already sensed him.

One could say that as long as Charles was present, the talented Beast Masters from the Haunted Marsh would never have the chance to contract this Light Dragon.

However, the necessary steps still had to be followed. So, as Charles was exploring the stone pillars, Isolde’s voice suddenly appeared in his ears.

Isolde said, “These pillars can test a Beast Master’s light attribute talent. When the Beast Masters from the Haunted Marsh arrive, you’ll be the last one to step onto the pillar. Don’t worry, compared to you, they have no chance of contracting the Divine Beast.”

“By the way, no more fighting can occur here. Any Beast Master attempting to make a move will have to face the oppressive pressure from the Divine Beast’s remains.”

Hearing Isolde’s voice, Charles paused for a moment. He had just left the white maze area and hadn’t had a chance to explore the surroundings when he heard Isolde’s words.

Given Isolde’s strength and insight, what he said was likely accurate. Charles was just slightly puzzled—he hadn’t even seen the so-called Divine Beast yet, so why did Isolde believe so strongly that this was the case?

Charles thought for a moment but couldn’t come up with any reason.

Just then, Charles spotted Zara, Nate, and the Beast Master from the Abyssal Depths.

Before they had a chance to speak, several angry voices echoed from a distance. Someone shouted, “Damn Charles! Everyone scatter and find him!”

“If we let Charles get away unscathed, after the secret realm ends, the other Beast Masters from the Haunted Marsh will definitely mock us!”

“Right! We need to teach Charles a lesson!”

In an instant, Nate and Zara’s expressions changed drastically. They knew that these angry Beast Masters from the Haunted Marsh would not let Charles off easily. And now, there was no longer an environment like the one filled with Rainbow Bloodthirsty Leech, which had made things more complicated.

They, as a group, were no match for the talented Beast Masters from the Haunted Marsh.

Nate immediately whispered, “Charles, let’s go, we need to hide quickly.”

Charles, however, wasn’t worried in the least. He scanned the surroundings, shifting his gaze from the giant stone pillars to the sky above.

Above them was a massive dragon’s head, floating like a mountain, exuding an indescribable oppressive aura.

Charles recalled Isolde’s earlier words. He gently shook his head and said to Zara and the others, “Don’t worry. We shouldn’t be able to fight freely here.”

Zara and Nate were stunned. They hadn’t noticed anything unusual, so how was it that Charles, having just arrived, was already able to make such a judgment?

Charles didn’t offer much of an explanation. He couldn’t exactly tell them that a being stronger than a ninth-level Beast Master had informed him that fighting was prohibited in this area.

As the Beast Masters from the Haunted Marsh saw Charles, none of them could remain calm. Some immediately drew their weapons and summoned mystical beasts, shouting at Charles in anger:

“Charles, you’re truly despicable!”

“You said that as long as the Beast Sect and Ancient Academy students lost their qualifications to explore the secret realm, then…”

Charles calmly interrupted the Beast Master’s rant. He spoke coldly, “I did what I said I would do. As for what happened to you after that, it’s none of my business.”

Samuel and James Connor, hearing Charles’ reply, became even angrier. Other talented Beast Masters from the Haunted Marsh immediately began shouting at him:

“Bullshit!”

“You and that murderer, William, must know each other. You must have planned all of this in advance, causing many of the Haunted Marsh’s talented Beast Masters to lose their qualifications to continue exploring the secret realm!”

Samuel yelled, “Exactly, Charles! You’re truly despicable! It seems the deaths of our Ancient Academy students are largely your fault!”

Meanwhile, the Beast Masters from Suspended Mountain, hearing Charles and William’s names, couldn’t help but cast hostile glances at him. After all, William had caused Suspended Mountain to lose several talented Beast Masters.

Kairos and Seraphina looked at Charles with complicated expressions. Kairos, in particular, had a complicated history with him. Back when Charles was still a level-four Beast Master, they had fought in a border city near the Haunted Marsh. At that time, Charles, a level-four Beast Master, had defeated Kairos, a level-five Beast Master. Kairos could still say that it was because he had let his guard down, not using his full strength, which led to his defeat.

But now, Kairos no longer felt confident that he could defeat Charles. Even if he used all his tactics, the final result would likely be the same as the talented level-six Beast Masters from the Haunted Marsh—he would be defeated by Charles.

Meanwhile, Seraphina’s mind kept replaying the scene she had witnessed before—the dark, ruthless, and illusory eyes that had appeared behind Charles.

Seraphina whispered, “Kairos, you don’t need to worry. Charles won’t be able to compete with us for the chance to contract the light attribute Divine Beast. The dark attribute energy within him is too unique; the light attribute Divine Beast won’t choose him.”

Kairos let out a small sigh of relief and replied, “Why are you telling me this? I’m not worried about Charles posing any threat to me. He’s strong, but I’m no slouch either!”

The atmosphere on-site grew increasingly tense. Nate, Zara, and the Beast Master from the Abyssal Depths had all prepared for battle. They had heard Charles mention that no fighting could occur here, but they still couldn’t shake the feeling of tension.

A few talented Beast Masters from the Haunted Marsh had quietly left the group, intending to fully surround Charles to prevent him from escaping.

James Connor and Samuel, seeing that Charles had no way of escaping, sneered coldly. Their eyes were filled with hatred, and they locked their gazes onto Charles.

Charles ignored the two of them, extending one finger to point at the massive dragon’s head floating in the sky. He calmly said, “I suggest you don’t make a move against me. Otherwise, something unexpected might happen. Aren’t you curious about what might appear in this area?”

Among the Beast Masters from the Haunted Marsh, there were still a few more composed individuals, who hesitated for a moment.

However, James Connor and Samuel, blinded by anger and hatred, no longer cared. Especially Samuel—without hesitation, he summoned six mystical beasts and slowly walked toward Charles.

As Samuel walked, he said, “Charles, you’re just scared. You’re afraid I’ll make you feel pain.”

“I have to admit, you’re a Beast Master from the Abyssal Depths, and you’re certainly different from others. But in the face of absolute power, any schemes are meaningless.”

“I’ll swing my fist and have you kneel, begging for mercy!”

Samuel grinned savagely, as if he could already see Charles defeated before him, begging for his life.

Charles shrugged indifferently, calmly watching Samuel. He made no move to prepare for defense or combat.

This made Samuel feel a momentary sense of unease. However, remembering how Charles had played him like a fool, Samuel could no longer contain his anger. He commanded his six mystical beasts to attack Charles.

But in an instant, a rainbow-colored light descended from the massive dragon’s head floating in the sky, enveloping Samuel and his mystical beasts completely.

Samuel immediately fell to his knees, as though a heavy mountain had been placed on his chest. His chest heaved, his Adam’s apple bobbed, and a mouthful of blood spurted out.

This scene instantly stunned everyone present.

Nate and Zara were the first to look at Charles, their eyes filled with shock.

It was as though Charles had known everything in advance, having already warned them that fighting wouldn’t be possible here. They had their doubts before, but after seeing Samuel’s pitiful state, they now fully believed Charles.

The faint scent of blood hung in the air, and Samuel wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth. He glared at Charles with wide eyes, filled with deep unwillingness.

Samuel shouted angrily, “Charles! You did this on purpose! You deliberately provoked me to attack you! You’re truly despicable!”

“You wait! I’ll find a way to make you wish you were never born!”

The other talented Beast Masters from Zhongzhou quickly assessed the environment around them, looking up at the dragon’s head floating in the sky, feeling somewhat bewildered.

At this moment, Nana Xu from the Ancient Academy slowly spoke, “It seems the Divine Beast is about to appear. Since fighting isn’t allowed here, that means there must be some other form of competition.”

“What could it be?”

Samuel heard Nana Xu’s words, and the rainbow-colored light that had enveloped him faded away. He slowly rose to his feet, speaking with firm resolve, “Whatever form the competition takes, Charles will never contract the Divine Beast!”

Nana Xu nodded, feeling confident in herself. After all, she was a light attribute Beast Master who had awakened from slumber!

At that moment, more rainbow-colored lights fell onto the stone pillars, as if guiding something.
