They can compress their cloud and make it more durable. They can also shape part of their cloud into a tentacle and extend this tentacle to the clouds of other people.
This is the essence of the pathway of the telepath. Currently, the best they can do is reach out to other minds and communicate with them. That’s if they master the skill completely.
Shaping their minds and extending it to make contact with the minds of others is not easy. In fact, it is a lot of hard work.
The greater the distance between them and a target, the more work it will take to make contact with their minds. If they don’t learn how to make contact with the minds of others, they will never be able to communicate with others mentally.
Fortunately, they are not novices with the pathway of the telepath. They have some experience with this pathway, so they know how to communicate with the minds of others.
Unfortunately, this is going to be the best they can do. They can’t attack the minds of others yet or even read their minds because they don’t have the divine ability needed for it.
Until they advance and gain more divine abilities, the best that they will be able to do is communicate with others mentally and tell what emotion people are feeling.
The latter is not as impressive as it sounds because one can tell what emotions others are feeling by observing their facial expressions and taking note of their body language.
As for the former, it is an ability they don’t dare use easily because it will expose the fact that they have more than one pathway and the extra pathway is a hated pathway.
So the pathway of the telepath is currently underwhelming. But they were still happy with it.
They were excited to have the Mental Probe ability because they could use it with the Bondage ability of the pathway of slavery.
That is just the immediate benefit of the pathway of the telepath. In the future, when they can attack the minds of others or even invade them, their advantage of having more than one consciousness will come into play.
As they rushed home, all the things they could do with the combination of their abilities flashed through their minds. Foremost on their mind was to advance in their individual pathways and grow stronger.
They need to grow stronger as soon as possible because they are running out of time. ANNIHILATION might be out there in the future, coming for them. So the sooner they can become an Absolute, the better for them.
As soon as they got home, they went to their basement to practice their divine abilities. They deactivated their arrays and the traps before going down to the basement. Then they reactivated the basement behind him.
Their basement was large. It was the size of a whole floor of their house. It was dark without any source of light, but they could see well in it because their eyes were glowing.
The basement looked mostly empty. It had a table and a bed. It had some books, but it was mostly empty.
The first thing they did was to activate all their pathways. This caused three extra pairs of arms to grow out of their bodies and three more pupils to appear in each eye.
They had to remove their shirt so that their eight arms could stretch unhindered. After doing this, they felt the difference in their state of existence immediately.
Legion-3 said, “Ah. How nice it is to let go and be whole.”
Legion-5 agreed. “It is a feeling of bliss and freedom. Deactivating our extra pathways might be easy for us to do, but it is ultimately not a good thing to be shackled like that.”
Legion-8 urged them, “Yes, yes, it is a good thing to stop hiding. But I don’t care about that right now.”
Legion10 also urged, “Don’t keep us waiting. Let us see if it is truly what we think it is.”
Legion-1, Legion-2, and Legion-3 smirked at them.
The other clones wanted to see the power of the ultimate ability of the pathway of undying. But the three clones that were in charge of that pathway didn’t seem to be in a hurry.
Legion-1 and the other two seemed to be content watching the others begging them to activate the ability. Unfortunately, this couldn’t last long because they too were in a hurry.
Now that they have finally gained the divine flesh of the pate of undying, they can finally activate the ultimate ability of the pathway as a godclad of this pathway, not as some mortal with a special divine ability.
All they needed to do was direct their spiritual power into the golden gem. As they did so, the gem lit up within them.
The effect of the gem appeared immediately. Their 12 souls and singular body were covered with the golden light of the gem. The golden light then turned them into a solid gold statue.
They became invulnerable. Because of this, every shackle and bond on them was broken.
The mark of the god of justice and that of the god of steam on their body were the first shackles to be displaced. They both came loose from their chest and hovered in front of them.
Apparently, the oath they made as lamp bearers and the contract they signed with Tesla can’t affect them anymore. If they break these oaths, the backlash will fail to reach them from now on.
That wasn’t the end to the effect of invulnerability, though. Even the constraint of space was broken. They stopped being limited to the material space. The true state of this world appeared before them.
The world was layered. The material plane was just one of these layers.
This didn’t surprise them. They already knew that a world was created from many dimensions interacting with each other. They have seen and moved through many such dimensions of the void universe in their future.
