Yu Dong’s eyes widened. Sure enough, her suspicions were correct. This woman had some other motive behind this kidnapping. After all, Madam Kong was not just rich but her inn was the most popular one.

If her inn were to close down, then with the popularity of Madam Kong’s inn the new business would get as much business.

“Yes, master.” Monkey Tail answered. Yu Dong hid further in the shadows as she heard the sound of footsteps getting closer and closer to the sliding door.

With a little push, the door was opened and a woman whose face resembled a monkey came up. She raised her head and looked up in the direction where Yu Dong was hiding.

However, when she narrowed her eyes she did not see anything, she turned to look away and walked out of the corridor.

‘That woman is rather sharp,’ Yu Dong thought as she watched the monkey-faced woman leave. She then slid down the roof and headed over to the room beside the one where the woman along with this so-called Master Hualin was sitting.

Yu Dong then took out a laser gun, which was silent but good enough to make a hole in the wall. She placed it against an inconspicuous spot and pulled the trigger.

The scent of something burning wood wafted inside the room and Yu Dong scrunched up her nose before waving her hand in front of her to shake off the stinging smell.

Once there was a hole big enough for her to see what was going on, Yu Dong crouched and peered inside the room.

The woman called Master Hualin was sitting on a chair with her back facing her and next to her was—

Yu Dong’s eyes couldn’t believe what she was seeing and her expression was full of disgust. A wave of nausea started rising in her throat and Yu Dong covered her mouth to stop herself from hurling right then and there.

There were three corpses placed inside the room, under this hot weather they had long turned rotten. But that was not what disgusted Yu Dong as she had seen many corpses in the apocalypse.

The thing that disgusted her was the many bugs that were squirming on those corpses. Thick, slimy and flesh-coloured bugs slithered up and down the corpses, once in a while a bug would squirm out of the rotten skin of the corpse.

The scent was so intense that even Yu Dong had a hard time stopping herself from gagging. And yet the woman inside the room cooed at the bugs with a sweet voice,

“Eat my little ones, soon we’ll be raising an army and ruling this nation. Hahahaha!”

Yu Dong pulled herself away from the hole, she was shocked and speechless. Never did she think that the small matter of kidnapping children would actually lead to such a grave matter.

These women were actually helping a dark warlock. Shit.

Yu Dong glanced at the woman who seemed to have sensed something.

However, just as the woman turned, Yu Dong jumped on the roof, using the Velcro gloves she crossed the length of the roof and then slid out of the room, right in time as Master Hualin pushed open her own door.

The woman peered out of the door, with a frown on her face but she couldn’t see anyone. Even a speck of dust couldn’t be seen, and yet she was certain that she had felt someone’s presence. There was someone who was looking at her right now.

Master Hualin summoned a few venomous butterflies that had beautiful violet wings.

“Go,” she commanded and the venomous butterflies went searching throughout the house.

Yu Dong bit back a curse as she dealt with venomous butterflies. Her spiritual energy was enough to ward off the butterflies but it didn’t change the fact that they were really troublesome as they continued to come after her once the spiritual energy weakened.

In the end, Yu Dong snapped her fingers and caused the butterflies to be caught in a hallucination.

Once the four butterflies were busy, Yu Dong went looking for her brother because now she was no longer as calm as she was when she had first stepped inside this house.

This woman was crazy. Who knows how she had kept her brother and Li Cui?

With that thought in her head, she hurtled past the backyard and headed straight to look for the leader of this kidnapping gang.
