Officer Zhou clenched her fingers as she glanced at the officer next to her. It seemed like the nation was not going to be at peace for a very long time.

She sighed and noted down in her heart to relay this information to Magistrate Li and Lord Ren.

While everything was peaceful on the other side, Master Xiao was having quite a hard time.

As it was his first time in the yamen office, Master Xiao was already nervous enough and as the officer who was questioning him was unusually stern, he became even more nervous.

Including whether or not he told his sisters about the plan to visit the market.

And master Xiao who had every intention to hide the truth couldn’t hold on for long and told the officer everything.
