Guide to raise my cutie husbands

Chapter 1841 - 1841: Stealing her from you

“Aunt Wang!” Yu Dong cried out happily as she walked over to where Aunt Wang was standing.

“Dong Dong?” Aunt Wang turned to look at Yu Dong with a smile. “Good morning, how are you doing?”

“I am doing alright.” Yu Dong nodded and replied and before Aunt Wang could say anything to her, she said, “By the way, Aunt Wang, didn’t you say that you would bring some candied hawthorns for Ah Jin?”

As soon as Yu Jin heard the word ‘candied,’ he turned to look at Aunt Wang. He stared at her with his tear-filled eyes as he said to her, “Grandma Wang, where’s the candy?”

Aunt Wang: “…” Yu Dong, you have harmed me greatly.

She raised her head and looked at Yu Dong exasperatedly. She then said to Yu Jin, “Grandma Wang wanted to bring you the candied hawthorn last night but you were asleep. Jin Jin, let’s go… Grandma will bring you to the city and you can buy one with Grandma.”

As she spoke, she raised her head and glared at Yu Dong, who sheepishly smiled at her.

In the distance, the villagers who were working in the greenhouse saw Yu Dong smiling and chatting with Aunt Wang, who was holding Yu Jin in her arms. They found the sight too amusing.

“Madam Yu is really amusing. She actually pushed the trouble to Aunt Wang,” a mer said jokingly. “I have learnt something from her. Instead of stopping my child from crying or coaxing her, I will divert her attention from now on.”

“It’s a good trick,” agreed another mer with a light chuckle. “At least this will save us from all the hassle of wasting our time.”

“Madam Yu is also skilled in child-rearing. She knows how to deal with children really well, while my wife—sigh, she always pushes the children to me when they start crying.”

One of the mers saw Xiao Hua walking over to where they were standing and ushered him to come and see them.

Xiao Hua frowned when he saw the mers calling him. As he was a courtesan, not many respected him in the past, but ever since he got engaged to Yu Dong, they have started treating him well.

Now they didn’t mock him in his face but who knows what goes on behind closed doors?

How could he be this lucky? He was a courtesan and yet someone like Yu Dong agreed to marry him.

And if this wasn’t enough to make them envious, Yu Dong fiercely protected him.

Thus, how could a few mers not be upset? They said a lot of things while smiling at Xiao Hua’s face as if they were not the one calling him undeserving of Yu Dong.

He found it a bit upsetting but he still walked over to the crowd.

“What’s the matter?” he asked politely.

“Xiao Hua, you are really not paying attention to Miss Yu, are you?” one of the mers with a sigh.

“What are you trying to say?” Xiao Hua asked with a frown. When did he not pay attention to Yu Dong?

Someone kindly reminded him, “Master Xiao, don’t blame us for overstepping our boundaries but we are saying this because we care about you. Do you not realise that there are many unmarried mers who are targeting Madam Yu?”

“That’s right, I have seen Qin Xia falling and swaggering in front of Madam Yu all the time. If it was one time, it would have been fine, but do you know that Mer had fallen in front of Madam Yu more than three times?”

Qin Xia was one of the unmarried mers of the village. His mother was an alcoholic woman and she had almost sold all the land that she had in her hands.

Now their family was having trouble meeting their needs.

It was not a surprise that Qin Xia was trying to seduce Yu Dong but the problem was that Yu Dong had already said that she would not be taking any more mers after Xiao Hua. This meant that Qin Xia was snatching Xiao Hua’s position.

Hearing the words of the villager, a dark light flashed in the eyes of Xiao Hua. He asked, “Are you sure about this?”

“Of course it’s true,” said the villager with an eye roll. “Do you think that I will lie about such a thing? It’s something that can be easily investigated. If you don’t believe me, then you can investigate this matter, but I will suggest that you marry Madam Yu as soon as possible. If not, someone will snatch her from you.”

The villagers knew that Yu Dong liked Xiao Hua, thus they knew which side to pick. Compared to supporting Qin Xia and making enemies with Yu Dong, it was better to support Xiao Hua. If this mer remembered their good deeds, he might help them in the future.

Xiao Hua was furious but he suppressed his temper and nodded, “I understand. Don’t spread this matter anymore; I don’t want that mer’s name to ruin Yu Dong’s.” He paused and added, “Yu Dong asked me to hire a few more servers at the bar. Is anyone willing to work?”

“YES!”

Because of this matter being brought up, Xiao Hua realised what a problematic situation he was in. So, he immediately went to Yu Dong and asked her to marry him. At that moment, he no longer cared for a perfect wedding. If he was to wait any longer, he was worried that he might end up being kicked to the side by others.

Thus, suddenly there was a rush of weddings at the Big River Village. Everyone in the village was now waiting for Yu Dong and Xiao Hua’s wedding. The two of them have been engaged to one another for so long.

While everyone was aware of Yu Dong’s affection for Xiao Hua, they also knew that Xiao Hua wanted a perfect wedding.

Inwardly, they all thought that Xiao Hua was being a bit too pretentious after all; a courtesan like him—how could he imagine getting married? It was Yu Dong’s mercy that she was willing to marry him.
