Chapter 1345: The New World Order 5
Darkness enveloped the entire Summit Center area as if someone had summoned Shenron over this place. The sky was completely pitch black, without even a single heavenly body to show that it was nighttime, yet the area remained strangely lit enough as if it were still day.
This kind of contrast caused endless alarms to sound in the hearts and minds of everyone around, and they couldn’t help but look upwards, expecting the Lucifer Lineage and their entourage to come down from above in a flashy manner like those that came before.
But they stared upwards for over 5 minutes and did not see anything, causing them to share puzzled looks of confusion. It was when they did this that they saw, to their horror, that there were a group of people who were standing in front of the Summit Center’s entrance, walking upwards while chatting in a lively manner.
At the backrow were the Lineage Natives like Antonio, second son of Dominic and Draco’s blood cousin, Isabella, Dominic’s wife and Gremory’s as well as Antonio’s mom, and Dominic himself. There was also the inclusion of Dante, Draco’s father, as well as Lilith, his mother, and Fyre, his second mother as she had recently been married by Dante uniting the two sisters in marriage, along with the 9 elders of the Lucifer Lineage.
In the middle row were the Lucifer Bestowals, starting with Keith (Money Lover), Akainu, Christian (Silent Walker), Kevin (Dreary Traveler), Jason (Rambunctious Buttlover), Lucas (Fitter Cleric), Andreas (Joker), Sanji and Bella.
The the first row were the God Serpent Inheritors, led by Aaron (Essence Stalker) at the front, then Connor (Shadowheart), Connor (Kronalord), Lily (Elle), Cyrus (Ghostpro), Garrett (Hades), John (The Showman), Henry (Nightwalker), Xela and Austin (Hunter101).
But even then, this group had Pedro walking along with them, solely because the fellow was bored.
In the front was Draco, who was walking with a cold look on his face that was only softened by the girl clinging to his arm, his direct female lookalike, Gremory. She had refused to join where she had been allocated in the line and came to hold her brothers hand, using her exclusive little sister tricks to seek his protection.
Whether it was the edgelord or the shameless mindset, the feeling towards her was the same, with extreme doting and forbearance, so even this fellow caved in slightly. Still, he did warn her that if she caused trouble, he would spank her in public, but that only made her eyes light up as her legs trembled, causing Draco to be speechless.
But for everyone else, there was only the most primal fear in their hearts.
If this Lucifer group had come with fanfare by opening the sky and letting hellfire rain down, it would have still been a strong deterrent to the crowd, but it was nothing compared to the current situation where the lineage had long arrived yet existed outside the cognitive awareness of the crowd.
Omnipresence.
This was the feeling that this entrance gave them, like Draco - and his Lineage- could be anywhere and everywhere if they wanted, so even if the seat of power was located in one continent, if you dared to cause trouble, you would still be captured by the ever present Draco.
Words could not even begin to describe the effectiveness of this. A significant reason why certain people dared to perform high profile crimes or destructive acts was because they knew that at worst, they could just flee their current domicile and emerge in a more obscure one, avoiding the penalty for their actions.
But if even that was blocked from being able to be done, then what was the point?
If I am going to be caught anyway, why not just obey? Why not just give in?
Yes, why not? Just give in. Just obey.
Obey Draco. Submit to Draco.
Yes, obey. Yes, give in.
YES, OBEY!! YES, GIVE IN!!
It was a small voice in their minds and hearts whispering to them at first when they realized Draco’s omnipresence but every second that passed, it magnified by a tier until it became a roaring shout that was no longer trying to convince them, but was rather commanding them!
And all those here, whether Primordial Descendants, politicians or the remnants of defeated foes from the past, all of them lowered their heads. There was no kneeling nor any outward movements of obeisance, just a simple lowering of the head and not daring to look upon him directly.
Draco did not even glance at any of them as he went inward, only nodding towards Nadia, who he had a good impression of. This brave reporter even dared to stand before that shameless bastard Lucifer when he was in a killing mood, showing that she had guts.
Nadia saw the subject of her recent dreams and felt her whole body’s cells light up like someone had shocked her with electricity. She opened her mouth to speak, but seeing that Draco was focused on entering the venue first, she felt a bit lost.
It was not until her cameraman tapped her on the shoulder that she snapped out of it. Nadia straightened her hair with slight embarrassment and turned to the camera with a professional smile on her face to try and appear calm.
"And that, folks, was the man himself, our new Overlord who will likely usher the human race into an era of power and prosperity like none other before, taking us back to our roots as the dominators of the galaxy!"
Nadia led the team into the summit building, making sure that the cameraman trailed behind her and had a good shot of her swaying her hips as she walked up those stairs.
On that note, the interior of the Summit Center was actually a pretty nice blend of architectural elegance and cutting-edge tech of the modern era (modern here being 2070, not the neanderthal level of tech from 2020).
There were wide yet curved corridors that connected each wing of the place, the smooth white-tinted alloy floors pulsating faintly with internal light that changed color based on foot traffic.
Glass walls revealed the snowy expanse of the Alps beyond, tinted just enough to maintain privacy without sacrificing grandeur. Some fancy interface panels dotted every hallway and doorway, scanning for authorized credentials and streaming real-time data.
Staff bots glided quietly along the walls, managing refreshments, seating assignments, and crowd flow without a single noise expect for their fake AI voices.
Any delegation that was aiming to enter would proceed smoothly past reception chambers and through the verification corridors before finally reaching the Council Chamber, the heart of the Summit.
This massive amphitheater-like hall had once been the seat of global ’democratic’ power, where 9 Council Members backed by countries and families debated the future of Earth.
Today, it had been rearranged to reflect the new world order.
Nine colossal thrones lined the topmost circular tier, set high above the others like sovereign stars around a planetary system. Each throne was carved from a special material produced by Armonia’s group that was unique to its each Lineage, designed to resonate with their bloodline aura.
The Anansi Throne was chaired by Gage, who had skipped the grandiose entrance because he was the only one of his group who was even around. He sat there with his cheek resting against his fist in the famous ’despot’ pose, looking down upon all mortal beings with disdain.
The Morrigan Throne was empty, but its design was that of a well built maiden with strong feminine assets in skimpy ’bikini’ armor who was ready to fight the word to prove herself.
The Ilah Throne was also empty, but it was styled after Ilah himself, bearing his endless majesty and wisdom, as well as his wish to guide the lesser sub-humans of the world to greatness through belief in him and his tenets.
The Zeus Throne was currently occupied by Luke Reyson, who looked somewhat uncomfortable since it was crackling silently with stored lightning, discharging in pulses. He was Poseidon’s inheritor for Christ sake, did you see lightning and water going well together?
The Buddha Throne held Kiran atop it, the young man having folded his arms and crossed his legs as he stared down the crowd with arrogant aloofness. The throne itself emitted a faint chanting sound, invisible Sanskrit runes circling it.
Upon the Merlin Throne was Nicholas Spencley in his official Shadowy Hound garb that came with his bloodline unlock, Gae Bolg resting across his lap as it glowed with a faint red light and his mage tome floating beside him while zipping about as if it were alive. The man himself seemed bored and sleepy.
Meanwhile, the Radiant Throne glowed with solar brilliance, pulsing in tune with Eva’s breath as it lit up the entire council room with a gentle light that caused all those here to feel their hidden injuries and defects healing slowly but surely, causing them shock.
In tandem with this, the Immortal Throne that was carved from jadeite and obsidian hummed with eternal qi, permeating the entire room and granting a treasure effect of all items. Even without Worldly Energy in the world, even a common pen in this room might be able to manifest some magical properties in society.
Finally, there was the Morningstar Throne which remained stark and obsidian-black, like a hole in reality itself that swallowed all the worlds evil into its maw. Everyone felt their dark thoughts and hidden desires being drawn out and consumed, causing their spirits to lift and their eyes to brightened as mental issues like insomnia, depression, ADHD, etc were cured slowly.
Each throne held its leader or rightful heir, seated calmly above the hundreds of global figures arranged below, their presences seeming grander that the continued existence of reality itself.
The rest of the Council Chamber was structured in radiating tiers with semicircular desks, each one allocated to a continent, conglomerate, or legacy organization. Former world leaders, company presidents, and Primordial Descendant lieutenants now found themselves sitting beneath the very beings they had once hoped to manipulate or defy.
Interestingly, there were no guards posted, because obviously, there was no need.
In this chamber, power itself was the law, and the law sat watching from high above with eyes that said ’I dare you to give me a reason’.
Who would dare to raise their head and be the scapegoat in this situation?
Draco’s eyes roved the entire venue, even scanning the supports and misc attaches at the back as his voice rang out through the council room.
"In truth I hate ceremony that is too long, such that it almost seems unnecessary. Ceremony exists to embellish and exaggerate the fragility of the procedure, since it could likely be broken by disobedience or force."
Draco suddenly smiled, but it was a cold and malicious one. "I’d actually enjoy it if one of you choose this moment to rebel and give me someone to use as an example."
The crowd were deathly silence, sitting still in their seats with their heads lowered and not daring to meet Draco’s gaze.
"Oh? No one? Where are the descendants of that bitch Gaia? I know you are here, aren’t you supposed to launch an attack on her behalf?" Draco teased as despite acting like he didn’t know, his eyes honed in right on the Primordial Descendants group.
The moment he identified them, the faces of the group paled significant. Those around them who had been clueless were shocked and then horrified, quickly getting up from their seats and evacuating the area post haste, causing the Primordials Descendants to be like a lone leaf in the desert.
They were now naked before the world, the eyes of everyone upon them as all cameras focused on their faces, so anonymity after today was impossible.
The leaders even knew that Gaia was likely watching using invasive means, because there was a constant ’ping’ in their bloodlines to take action at this moment.
