The case concluded and Kyle knew it would be controlled because the people there weren’t there for the judge or anyone else but him.

Kyle didn’t exit the court through the front door either because he didn’t want the attention that came with it.

Kyle had laid the platform for Priscilla to lead and Cassandra gained full custody of her child pending further investigation.

Kyle wondered why he received that message which instructed him to run, could it be they thought the police were coming for him?

That couldn’t be it but Kyle had taken a different exit leaving Cassandra momentarily alone to celebrate her victory.

“That went better than expected,” Kyle muttered under his breath. He had every intention of making the world a better place and would do anything to achieve this goal, including getting rid of the people who threatened it.

Kyle knew that evil was necessary to get to the light and maintain it.

Even God created darkness to balance out the light, they couldn’t exist without the other.

And Kyle was ready to take on that role but this didn’t mean he wanted to become some dictator of the world.

Many have tried and failed, it was too grand an ambition but Kyle knew he had the resources to make a difference.

He looked up at the sky and took a deep breath, he loved how his life had turned out but a part of him wondered what would have happened if he had killed himself.

Would that truly be the end of it all or was there something that awaited him in the afterlife?

What would his judgement have been if he was condemned to this fate?

Kyle wondered but from the corner of his eye, he noticed someone was approaching him.

He pretended not to see whoever it was because this would put them on alert.

“Act natural, Kyle,” Kyle muttered to himself.

The figure kept approaching him but the closer it got, the faster it became.

Kyle turned suddenly and what he saw at first glance was a man pointing a pistol right at him.

Kyle quickly ducked and this made the bullet breeze past him. Publication courtesy of M|V|LE-MPYR.

“A silencer!? This is a hit!” Kyle knew there was no time to doubt this was an attempt on his life and what he would do in the next second would determine if he lived or died.

Kyle quickly threw his phone right at the assailant’s head, this temporarily distorted the attacker.t

There was no way a random hoodlum would use a gun with a silencer attached, this had to be specific.

Kyle rushed towards the assailant before he could redirect his gun and slammed his fist right into the man’s face.

This forced him to crash into the ground, losing the grip on his gun in the process.

This gave Kyle the upper hand but he knew better than to try and reach for the gun in this situation.

He had the necessary skills to defeat this man with his hands alone.

However, there was a chance that this man wasn’t alone but Kyle also needed to know who had sent him.

He knocked the man out with a solid punch right in his face and Kyle was grateful he had learned some self-defence or he would have been killed.

“That was close,” Kyle muttered to himself, standing over the unconscious body of the person who had just tried to kill him.

Cleopatra arrived in L. A and the air was something that always made her nauseous.

This place was once a hub for the elite but it had long been “corrupted” by the common man.

America was always regarded as the land of opportunity but this illusion must be the reason why it became so overpopulated.

Cleopatra was staying in one of the most expensive suites in the country.

“I wonder how she does this, this place is filthy,” Cleopatra muttered under her breath.

She wondered why her sister hadn’t made a move as she had legal claims now.

Cleopatra was aware that her younger sister was someone who wished to carve out a life of her own.

But there was a chance she would try to reclaim what belonged to her.

She studied Kyle because he must be the reason why Ella came back home.

That man was dangerous and she had done her research.

There was a chance he was the one manipulating Ella and she couldn’t have him implanting ideas into her innocent sister’s mind.

She had security personnel stationed just outside her door.

There was no way someone could have the drop on her without getting past them.

She wasn’t worried because she had taken some classes to defend herself from these threats should it come down to the wire.

“He has arrived ma’am,” A voice informed Cleopatra from behind the door.

She took a deep breath before reaching for her mask lying on the table right in front of her to protect her identity.

The man who made his way through the door was the same man she had clashed with during that party.

It was the politician running for office but seeing as he was the one coming to see her and not the other way.

One could guess the power dynamic between the two.

“Is that really necessary?” The man asked right away considering the rule of anonymity didn’t apply in the real world.

“It is fun,” Cleopatra said with a hidden smirk beneath her mask but this implied this man might know who she was.

“I don’t mind but you must know why I’m here,” The man pointed out.

“You need my support for the upcoming election, I take it?” Cleopatra asked to which the man nodded.

“I’m afraid I have no interest in politics but I can be persuaded,” Cleopatra muttered and the politician smiled upon hearing this like it was something he had predicted.

“It is alright, I have taken care of your problem,” The man said with a smile but Cleopatra looked confused by this.

“My problem?” Cleopatra asked and the man nodded before whispering something only she could hear.
