HITMAN WITH A BADASS SYSTEM

Chapter 1424 - 1424: Gaya vs Rin II

The two ladies, their fists still locked in a brutal connection, remained frozen for a heartbeat, their gazes locked in a fierce, unwavering challenge, their bodies trembling with the sheer force of their earth-shattering collision. Then, with a primal roar tearing from her throat, Gaya twisted her body, using the remaining momentum from their impact to unleash a vicious follow-up attack. Her fist slammed into Rin’s jaw with brutal force, the sickening crack of bone echoing through the ravaged forest as the Princess of Murder’s body was sent flying backwards, tumbling through the air like a discarded doll.

Despite the ferocity of the blow, Rin recovered with unnerving speed. Before her body even slammed into the ground, she twisted in mid-air, her movements fluid and catlike, defying the laws of physics. Gaya, wasting not a single precious second, reached for her quiver, her fingers instinctively closing around a copper arrow.

Nocking it to the Agni-King with practiced ease, she pulled back the string and released the projectile in one swift, seamless motion. The arrow, a blur of copper and light, shot through the air, aimed with deadly accuracy directly at Rin’s rapidly approaching form.

But Rin’s senses were heightened, her reflexes honed to a razor’s edge by countless battles. She twisted again, her body contorting in a way that seemed anatomically impossible, narrowly evading the speeding arrow, which whizzed past her by a hair’s breadth before embedding itself deep within the trunk of a nearby tree. The moment of impact triggered a horrifying effect; the tree began to crumble and disintegrate, its wood turning to dust as if afflicted by some rapid and terrifying decay.

Landing lightly on her feet, Rin watched the tree’s silent collapse, a slow, predatory grin spreading across her bloodied face.

“Well,” she purred, her voice dripping with mocking amusement, “that’s some good shit. Now I want that bow even more.”

Before Gaya could react, Rin lunged, her twin daggers flashing into existence, their crimson surfaces gleaming menacingly in the dappled light filtering through the shattered canopy. Gaya leaped backward, narrowly avoiding Rin’s initial flurry of attacks, the razor-sharp blades whistling through the air where she had just stood.

Retaliating instantly, she fired another arrow, this one an exploding projectile, aiming for the ground near Rin’s feet. The arrow struck the earth, erupting in a violent conflagration of fire and razor-sharp shrapnel. But Rin reacted immediately and summoned a protective barrier around herself, a shield of thick, viscous blood that rippled and bulged under the force of the explosion but ultimately held, shielding her from the brunt of the blast. She emerged from the dissipating smoke and debris, seemingly unscathed, her grin widening into a more maniacal display.

“My turn bitch,” she snarled, her voice a low, guttural growl that promised pain.

Then, Rin dashed towards Gaya as her movements were a blur of crimson with her daggers whirling in her hands. Gaya responded with a barrage of arrows, each one unique, each one imbued with a different, devastating power. One exploded in a shower of razor-sharp ice shards that frosted the surrounding vegetation. Another unleashed a blinding torrent of raw lightning that scorched the earth. A third erupted into a noxious cloud of poisonous gas that hung heavy in the air.

The once serene forest transformed into a chaotic maelstrom of fire, ice, lightning, and blood. Trees shattered and splintered, the ground trembled under the force of their attacks, and the air crackled with raw, untamed energy.

Yet, through the devastating storm of Gaya’s making, Rin weathered the onslaught. She dodged with impossible agility, weaved through explosions, and parried elemental blasts with her blood-forged daggers, her movements fluid and deadly. She bled, her crimson armor now scratched, dented, and further stained with her own lifeblood. But the more she bled, the more she laughed, a chilling sound that echoed through the ravaged landscape. The more she was injured, the more rabid her attacks became.

However, neither combatant showed any sign of tiring, their pace unrelenting. If anything, the fight was escalating, becoming more intense and brutal with each passing moment, pushing the boundaries of their godly endurance.

Then Rin, her movements as unpredictable and chaotic as ever, did something truly unexpected, even for her. She plunged one of her crimson daggers deep into her own gut, her body convulsing violently as the blade pierced her flesh.

Gaya froze, her eyes widening in utter confusion, her grip on the Agni-King slackening for a fraction of a second as disbelief washed over her features.

“What the fuck…?” she muttered, the words barely audible above the sounds of their destructive battle.

Rin, her face contorted in a grotesque mask of mingled pain and pleasure, let out a guttural, triumphant roar. With a savage, abrupt motion, she ripped the dagger free, sending a spray of dark blood arcing through the air. But this was no ordinary blood; it defied gravity, hanging suspended in mid-air, then coalescing and solidifying, the droplets merging and reshaping themselves into a wickedly sharp, crescent-shaped blade, its edges glowing with a malevolent, crimson light.

With a flick of her wrist, she launched it. The blood blade whistled through the air, a scarlet projectile aimed with deadly precision directly at the momentarily stunned Gaya. It was impossibly fast, undeniably deadly, and utterly unpredictable. Gaya’s senses screamed at her to move, and she reacted instinctively, twisting her body in a contortion that should have been physically impossible, narrowly avoiding the full force of the horrifying attack.

But the blade was too swift, too close. It still grazed her, the razor-sharp edge slicing clean through the sole of her boot, the impact sending a jolt of searing pain shooting up her leg. She stumbled, her footing lost on the uneven ground, her balance compromised at the worst possible moment. Then, with a sickening implosion, the crescent shattered, disintegrating into a thousand tiny shards of solidified blood, each one as sharp as a razor, each one flying towards Gaya like a miniature, crimson dart. She cried out in agony as the blood shards peppered her flesh, embedding themselves in her skin, burning like white-hot fire. Her body convulsed with the sudden, excruciating pain, and she collapsed to the ravaged ground, her vision blurring, the taste of blood filling her mouth.

Yet before Michael could intervene, before he could even fully process the horrifying turn the fight had taken, Gaya, her body screaming in protest, her crimson armor visibly compromised, did something utterly unexpected. She kicked off the ground with her uninjured leg, a blur of motion and raw determination, propelling herself upwards and back onto her feet. With a guttural grunt of pain, she ripped off her damaged boots, the soles sliced clean through, and tossed them aside as if they were insignificant inconveniences.

Rin, her white eyes gleaming with a predatory hunger, dashed towards Gaya, her blood-forged daggers flashing wickedly in the dim light filtering through the damaged canopy. She was fast, agile, a whirlwind of lethal intent. She likely believed Gaya, a known ranged combatant, would be weak in the brutal intimacy of close-quarters combat.

However, Gaya was not just a fighter but a seasoned warrior forged in the fires of countless battles. She allowed Rin to close the distance and when Rin struck, her daggers aimed with deadly precision for Gaya’s throat, Gaya moved with astonishing speed and flexibility. She bent backwards, her body arching in a seemingly impossible contortion, the razor-sharp daggers missing her forehead by a hair’s breadth.

Then, she retaliated with brutal efficiency. Her leg lashed out in a lightning-fast kick, her bare foot connecting squarely with Rin’s gut, the force of the blow sending a visible jolt of pain through the crimson-armored form. But she didn’t stop there. Spinning with fluid, graceful, yet undeniably deadly movements, she shifted behind Rin, her hand shooting out to grab the Princess of Murder by her hair. Gaya yanked her head back with a brutal force, her grip like iron, and then pushed forward, using Rin’s own momentum against her. Rin stumbled, her balance completely lost, and her body crashed heavily against a nearby tree. But Gaya pressed her advantage relentlessly, slamming Rin against the rough bark of the tree trunk again and again, the sickening impact of flesh and bone colliding with wood echoing through the ravaged forest.

But Rin, despite the brutal beating she was taking, despite the tree practically collapsing under the relentless force of her impacts, simply laughed, the sound manic and laced with pain echoing through the ravaged forest. With a ferocious roar, she kicked out at the already weakened tree trunk, the force of the blow finally uprooting the massive oak with a sickening crack. Using the tree’s momentum to her advantage, she pushed herself backwards, away from Gaya, her body twisting acrobatically in mid-air. She then lunged, her fingers digging cruelly into the flesh of Gaya’s hips, and tossed her aside like a discarded ragdoll.

Gaya crashed heavily to the ground, the impact jarring her bones, but she rolled instinctively, absorbing some of the force of the fall, and sprang back to her feet, her movements fluid despite the injuries she had sustained. She spat a mouthful of blood onto the churned earth, her eyes blazing with undiminished fury.

Rin, mirroring her action, spat a glob of dark, crimson blood that hissed ominously as it landed on the mossy ground. They stared at each other, a silent acknowledgment of the brutal stalemate passing between them, their ragged breaths the only sound for a brief moment.

“We should finish this,” Rin finally growled, her voice raw and strained, her breath coming in ragged gasps.

“Thought you’d never fucking ask, bitch,” Gaya retorted, her hands clenching into fists once more, ready to pounce again despite the pain she was feeling.
