Chapter 3914: Choices! V
The air held pulsed with glory!
Royal Origin Calypso raised her brows as she asked.
"For you to mention him, is he something to worry about?"
Altheon’s eyes flashed with uniqueness as he seemed to deliberate something...and he then he shook his head.
He remembered the words of the Young Miss!
And so...he made a choice.
Like all others, he made a choice!
"No, she had locked away her weavings, and this Osmont is merely an attendant of hers that protected her, so I decided to reward him by keeping him close, and the Young Miss also allowed it."
...!
Calypso nodded at these words as she did not give them too much weight.
She looked out across the Nullvein Gravewake Folds that were nowin a different place as she voiced out...𝚏𝐫𝚎𝗲𝕨𝐞𝐛𝕟𝚘𝐯𝚎𝗹.𝕔𝐨𝗺
"We have much to do. Honor those fallen and we shall have many more Origins scour these folds, and I will make preparations for the Young Miss."
...!
—
The Nullvein Gravewake Folds were no longer what they once were!
Displaced, restructured, retethered.
The silver luster of Living Law Authority bled through its every strand, a quiet verdict passed across an entire dominion of collapse.
What once trembled with contradiction and unformed potential now pulsed with structure, boundary, and definition.
The mists that once refused to part were unweaving themselves into paths- mapped and measured, no longer shrouded in aimless paradox!
It was an overwhelming presence. Regal. Final. And terrifying in the way all certainty could be!
The figures of Living Origins moved through it now, their radiant authority mingling with the silver streams of Living Law.
In these very same folds.
Far away, at the heart of the Infiniverse Wheel of Existence that was hidden from the eyes of even Living Existences!
On golden sands that pulsed with ancient possibility, the Early Veiled Shore remained untouched.
Noah Osmont sat barefoot, his arms resting over his knees, looking out across the glimmering tide as his body continued to be surrounded by multicolored waves of complexity.
The horizon of the Folds shimmered with silver threads- ghostly reflections of the very beings that sought him. Calypso. Altheon. Tristesse.
He had observed how the entire battle between them and the Living Paradoxes had unfolded, all the way to this point!
He smiled softly.
"Choices, choices," he said.
Behind him, the sound of splashing water echoed. Moiraine emerged, her steps silent as she carried a crystalline container holding twenty shimmering Schrödinger’s Boxes, each holding a trembling marine lifeform bound by the earliest weavings of existence.
"You made quick work of them," he remarked.
Moiraine gave a nod of awe as her body also buzzed with rising complexity.
"I did as you commanded, Sir."
"..." Noah’s gaze lingered on the horizon.
The Folds had changed...not because of overwhelming force.
They changed because the Paradoxes failed to prepare for nuance! They were caught off guard by involvement they didn’t account for or know about!
Sigrid.
And a treasure of Living Laws that was found in these folds.
His fingers brushed over his chest, over the place where his power was continuing to bloom as another part of the Heart of an Early Creature would soon begin to form.
Two of the reasons that brought Royal Living Existences here... were related to him.
Sigrid, and the Paradox that did not produce Inevitabilities!
The third related to Living Laws he was curious about, but...
He turned his gaze to the glowing bucket beside him, its golden liquid- the Sacred Mead of Existence, shimmering like a dream made tangible.
Near it, Heidrun lay basking beneath the Sacred Totem of Infinity, her glowing fur bathed in warm celestial hues as her arrogant eyes looked content.
The Veiled Shore of an Early Creature was a place of unfathomable possibilities.
His hand hovered over the sands, and in his mind, he wondered. Could he now challenge the Record of an Early Creature?
Could he elevate the Budding Shore?!
Such a question rose as another body of his...was continuing entanglements elsewhere!
—
Elsewhere.
Across a channel carved between the Living Origin Labyrinth and the Transcendent Origin Battlefront Folds, rivers of white gold bent and curved endlessly- a place where direction folded upon itself and momentum was heavy!
Within one of these drifting streams, Noah and Sigrid floated side by side.
She had been talking- quiet, almost playful- about the Story of the Earliest Folds. Her voice had been confident, regal, her tone rich with what she knew.
And then she stopped.
Her body stilled as her head turned toward him sharply.
Without a word, her hands moved. A veil of white gold brilliance wrapped around them, sealing them from the ever-listening gaze of Altheon that should have been monitoring them here!
She stood in front of him then, wrapped in a flowing white robe that clung gloriously to her form. Her pale hair, split with streaks of obsidian, framed her calculating face that was no longer playful, but wary. The runic tattoos on her skin shimmered beneath the robe, burning dimly with muted authority.
"I think... I’m in trouble," she whispered.
Noah’s eyes sharpened. "Oh?"
Her lips twisted as she breathed out, looking deeply into his eyes.
"I was meant to become the Living Order," she began, her voice low and steady. "Something I didn’t ask for. Something I hate because of all ther sacrifices made."
Her breath quickened , though her tone stayed cool.
"But now... now I’m bound to you. And you’ve been marked by me. And just now, my entire existence just shuddered from sensing you. On the other side of that bond. You feel... enormous. Impossibly enormous."
Her words slipped out, as though she did not entirely want to know the answer to the question she was asking.
Yet she had to ask!
"Just who are you, really?"
HUUM!
Noah’s voice was heavy.
"Do you really want to know?"
Sigrid bit her lip.
She nodded once.
He lifted his hand.
She hesitated.
Then stepped forward, placing her hand into his.
His aura flowed into her like heavy gravity. It pulled at the deepest parts of her being as she began to feel...euphoria!
Her eyes trembled.
Noah’s voice was quiet.
"What beings did Living Existences look up to? Revere?"
Her expression faltered. Her mind moved rapidly as everything lined up! She half knew it. She thought it. But to confirm it...!
HUUM!
She whispered, her stellar eyes wide.
"I really am in a lot of trouble..."
