Infinite Range: The Sniper Mage

Chapter 609 - 609: 609: The Chaos Saintess

“Time’s almost up.”

Orson felt a twinge of anxiety. Even knowing exactly what was about to happen didn’t stop the nerves. It wasn’t just worry for Sienna. There was also guilt gnawing at his conscience.

Not that he had much of a conscience left—but he knew countless people were going to die, and it would all be his fault.

It didn’t sit well.

“It’ll be alright. No one’s going to blame you. According to the Radiant Shuttle prophecy, this calamity was always destined to happen—sooner or later.”

Blank offered a gentle smile, her eyes warm and reassuring.

Orson gave a grateful nod. Blank was one of the rare people who truly understood his motives.

He didn’t expect the entire world of adventurers to forgive him. Saving Sienna had already sealed his mistake—there was no explanation that could make it right.

All he could do now was try his hardest to atone.

“WORLD ANNOUNCEMENT: The fusion world will generate in ten seconds! Players will have the opportunity to convert to adventurer authority!”

Ding.

A cold voice echoed in the minds of every human on Earth.

“Finally I can go grind monsters for gold—wait! What the hell am I saying? I’m not even wearing a game helmet!”

“What is going on… why can I hear an Infinite Dimensions announcement?”

“This is impossible! A fusion world?”

All across the US, sirens blared in cities and towns alike.

Whether it was whales lining up on rooftops for their final jumps, or average people huddled in bomb shelters thinking an air raid was coming—everyone froze.

They looked at each other, startled and fearful.

And they all wore the same stunned expressions, clearly having heard the announcement too.

“WORLD ANNOUNCEMENT: The first Abyss will appear in the skies near the UJ sector. Adventurers, prepare yourselves—this will be a war spanning across star systems!”

“WORLD ANNOUNCEMENT: Adventurer authority is about to activate. Infinite Dimensions players will receive a moderate boost to attribute points.”

“WORLD ANNOUNCEMENT: The process of merging reality with the virtual world has begun!”

The alerts came again, and people realized this was no shared hallucination. A grim sense of dread spread instantly.

Then a holy radiance fell from above, shattering into countless white starbursts that scattered across the sky.

They pierced the clouds in a rush, diving straight into the bodies of all Infinite Dimensions players. After a brief moment of blankness, streams of light began to swirl around each person.

A virtual interface popped up.

“Do you wish to convert to adventurer authority?”

“Choosing ‘Yes’ will begin your trial. Your body and soul will evolve, and you’ll be able to use Infinite Dimensions skills—becoming a legend across the galaxy!”

“Choosing ‘No’ means you’ll live an ordinary life, destined to be forgotten.”

Orson stared at the prompt, already too familiar with the gods’ manipulations.

For players, this wasn’t even a choice. The temptation to keep their Infinite Dimensions skills was immense.

And who would want to stay a powerless civilian in a world about to be torn apart, hoping some strong warrior might come save them?

Blank and Orson exchanged a look. Orson nodded firmly and spoke. “I choose yes.”

A dazzling brilliance cascaded over him. His War Supreme gear, previously hidden, became solid once more.

His appearance didn’t change—his character had always matched his real body.

But now, Orson clenched his fists and felt dark red chaos magic swirl around him, gathering like a living force.

It was nothing like the hazy, intangible feel of manipulating magic back in Infinite Dimensions. Now, unimaginable power roared within him.

He could truly sense it: with just a wave of his hand, mountains would shift, stars might even reverse their flow.

This was the real power of a US Triple Crown winner.

But what surprised Orson was Blank. With a simple thought, the Spirit Tribe mask appeared on her beautiful face, and a sleek black legendary rogue outfit enveloped her.

Last night, she might have seemed like a delicate little woman—but she had already stepped firmly into the realm of weaponization, passing thirty percent.

Orson couldn’t help finding it funny. Say her acting was bad—yeah, it really was.

But that frail, helpless look? It could win an Oscar for sure.

“Not much worse than you.”

Blank gave him a proud look, twirling her dagger. Murderous energy rippled out, flashing cold and sharp before her.

Orson grinned at her smug pose. It wasn’t just the fusion world making people evolve—apparently a night of passion could do wonders too.

Her eyes narrowed with a lazy, alluring glint, like an elegant black cat radiating dangerous charm.

“I choose… yes.”

A weak voice cut through the moment. Orson and Blank spun around, eyes flying to Sienna.

A shower of light fell upon her, and Sienna’s lashes trembled before she slowly woke, looking dazedly at the two of them.

“I think… I had a dream.”

Sienna murmured. Orson watched as her wide eyes turned red, a sting in his nose. He pulled her into a tight hug.

“Don’t cry. It’s my fault for not protecting you.”

He whispered in her ear.

“Grevor… they’re dead! It’s all my fault!”

Sienna suddenly remembered everything, tears spilling as she recounted the horrors of that endless fire cavern.

“It’s not your fault. That was… Flame Fosset’s decision. And choices always have a price.”

Orson almost wanted to curse Fosset to hell for nearly getting Sienna killed in Infinite Dimensions.

But hearing that Chaos Sect was nearly wiped out, only Fosset and his brother surviving, left him feeling strangely hollow.

Sienna had been trapped in the Endless Fire, but she’d seen the WORLD ANNOUNCEMENT.

At the same moment she chose to become an adventurer, her outer body was remade—and she’d finally touched the Prismatic Gem.

As the siblings spoke, a priestess robe formed around Sienna, Infinite Dimensions’ powers merging with the real world.

But something else glowed on her brow.

Before Orson could get a closer look—

He froze. The chaos energy swirling obediently around him suddenly scattered and vanished.

Through the faint mist, a five-colored radiance bloomed, like the very first light of creation splitting the void.

Orson’s vision swam. He stared at Sienna in shock.

It was as if he saw the Chaos Mother who sat upon the lotus throne when he triggered the Chaos Chain.

Her once indistinct face now merged with Sienna’s, giving the eerie impression they were the same being.

“What the hell is this?”

Orson’s eyes went wide as he tried to inspect her status panel.

“Adventurer.”

“Exclusive Title: Chaos Saintess.”

“You cannot view this adventurer’s detailed attributes.”

“You cannot…”

Orson was stunned. With the Ancient Sage’s Eye, unless someone used artifacts or divine relics, even demigods couldn’t hide their panels from him.

Yet this little girl had stumped him completely.

Orson slowly raised the Supreme Arcane Blade and aimed it at Sienna.

“What are you doing?”

Blank tensed, grabbing his wrist, thinking he’d lost his mind.

“You cannot target the holder of Chaos Divinity.”

“Notice: Should the Chaos Sect Leader violate hierarchy, rule backlash will occur.”

Orson just stood there, slack-jawed. He was a Chaos Overlord, an sss-class archmage—yet in front of this girl, he was the lesser?

Wait!

Chaos Divinity?

Orson sucked in a sharp breath, his spine cold. Was Sienna already… a true god?

How else could she possess something like Divinity?

“Fosset, you bastard, what did you do?”

Orson’s face drained of color. He’d always joked about Godslayer—but now an actual god was right in front of him, and he was utterly powerless.

“Seriously though.”

Sienna tilted her head, frowning at Orson, lips pouting. “So now that you’ve got Emma, you don’t want Sienna anymore?”

That soft, delicate voice pierced right through him. Orson’s heart melted, banishing all his crazy thoughts.

Blank turned crimson, mumbling in guilty protest. “Don’t say that… it’s not like that.”

The little girl nodded knowingly, her expression saying she understood everything.

Then she flashed a sly smile at Blank. “By the way, is my brother’s chest super warm?”
