Chapter 6214: The Nine Secret Skills Inheritance Ground
“Yu’er, Brother Shaoyu, how much do you know about the Ancient Era’s War Clan?” Chu Feng asked.
Through Little Fishy and Xianhai Shaoyu’s explanation, Chu Feng got a deeper understanding of the situation.
There was little information about the Ancient Era’s War Clan even in the early years of the present era, when most powers were vying for supremacy. It had always been a mysterious power.
Later on, an Immortal Sea Fish Clan’s elder got to know an Ancient Era’s War Clan’s elder named Zhan Lianyue by coincidence. The latter knew about a remnant in the Immortal Sea Galaxy, so he wanted to work with the Immortal Sea Fish Clan to conquer it.
The Immortal Sea Fish Clan accepted the offer and worked with the Ancient Era’s War Clan to clear the remnant.
Since then, the Ancient Era’s War Clan worked with the Immortal Sea Fish Clan many more times, with Zhan Lianyue serving as the link between the two. It was a pleasant partnership for both clans.
Even so, the Immortal Sea Fish Clan knew little about the Ancient Era’s War Clan. They knew the Ancient Era’s War Clan had a few bases, but they didn’t know where most of their clansmen dwelled.
In fact, they had never met the Ancient Era’s War Clan’s Clan Chief.
“How strong is the Ancient Era’s War Clan?” Chu Feng asked.
“The strongest Ancient Era’s War Clansman our clan has met is Elder Zhan Lianyue. He’s a rank seven True God level cultivator,” Xianhai Shaoyu replied.
“Rank seven True God? That doesn’t seem like much,” Eggy said.
Chu Feng looked out and examined the formation realm. “But it looks like the Ancient Era’s War Clan is far stronger than that.”
Even from the formation realm, Chu Feng could already sense the Ancient Era’s War Clan’s strong foundation.
“Big brother, what do you think about the current situation?” Little Fishy asked via voice transmission.
She was feeling nervous.
Even though the Immortal Sea Fish Clan had been on good terms with the Ancient Era’s War Clan, they were merely in a mutually beneficial partnership. Things could be different now that they had stumbled upon a secret place that appeared to be very important to the latter.
None of them could know for sure how the Ancient Era’s War Clan would react to this.
Xianhai Shaoyu understood that too, which was why he immediately flashed his identity to let the Ancient Era’s War Clan know that they had backing. Even so, Little Fishy was still worried.
“That elder is a rank one Heavenly Dragon World Spiritist, and she seems trustworthy. I don’t think she’ll leave us to the lurch is the Ancient Era’s War Clan tries to pull something,” Chu Feng told Little Fishy and Xianhai Shaoyu.
“Rank one Heavenly Dragon? That’s weaker than I thought,” Xianhai Shaoyu giggled.
“That elder’s spirit power is impaired. She was stronger before,” Chu Feng replied.
“Ah, I see. Either way, having a rank one Heavenly Dragon World Spiritist here with us is very reassuring. Based on our clan’s deduction, the Ancient Era’s War Clan is not weak, but it hasn’t reached a level comparable to the galaxy overlords. Back when we were in a partnership, the Ancient Era’s War Clan maintained a respectful attitude toward us. Based on that, it’s unlikely that they have a Heavenly God level cultivator among them,” Xianhai Shaoyu said.
“Let’s hope that’s the case.”
Chu Feng thought that things weren’t that simple, considering the formidable formation realm and the treasure they had yet to see. If someone as powerful as Zhan Haichuan could rise from a weaker branch in the Hundred Refinements Ordinary Realm, it shouldn’t come as a surprise if the Ancient Era’s War Clan had immensely talented individuals here too.
Chu Feng posed some questions to Jie Shanxian, but the latter refused to divulge anything.
Many figures suddenly appeared in the distant horizon. It looked as if a silver cloud was swiftly approaching them. It was an army of ten thousand silver-armored soldiers, but its leader was a young woman wearing a red dress.
The young woman had a curvaceous figure that drew attention, but her ferocious facial features would have intimidated those who were interested in her.
The silver-armored army quickly encircled the palace.
The woman in a red dress descended on the mountain before strutting toward the palace with two old men behind her.
“Miss Mudan.”
The ones guarding the palace initially tried to stop her, but they quickly backed off when she glared at them and told them to scram.
Bam!
She kicked down the palace door before entering with the two old men.
None of them were concealing their cultivation—the woman in a red dress was at rank four True God level, whereas the two old men behind her were at rank five True God level.
“Which of you two are from the Immortal Sea Fish Clan?”
The woman in a red dress eyed Chu Feng and the others as if they were criminals.
“Who are you?” Xianhai Shaoyu asked.
She displayed none of the courtesy and the manners of the old man they had met earlier, so Xianhai Shaoyu also brought out his airs as the Immortal Sea Fish Clan’s young master.
The two old men narrowed their eyes. From experience, they knew that it was impossible for someone to imitate that disposition. There was no doubt in their mind that Xianhai Shaoyu was from a lofty background.
But the woman in a red dress remained unfazed. “You aren’t qualified to know who I am. Speak! Why did you barge into our Ancient Era’s War Clan? What are your motives? Don’t even dream about leaving this place alive if you can’t give me a convincing explanation!”
“You aren’t qualified to speak with me. Call your clan chief over,” Xianhai Shaoyu said.
“You think you’re qualified to meet my father? Men, take him down.”
The two old men, despite their hesitation, were prepared to obey the command.
“Stop,” a voice echoed outside.
Three more figures flitted over.
It was a young woman wearing a white dress accompanied by two old men.
Her physique was not as eye-catching as the woman in a red dress, but her facial features were more delicate. She had a high nose bridge, big eyes, and a fair, oval face. She gave off a strong impression.
There were some resemblances between the two women, which hinted at them being sisters.
“Big sister, don’t be disrespectful. They are esteemed guests of our clan.”
The woman in a white dress immediately stood in front of the woman in a red dress, stopping her from doing anything else.
“Esteemed guests? Moli, they barged into our forbidden ground; that’s a crime that warrants death. How could you call them esteemed guests?” the woman in a red dress replied.
“Big sister, the elder has already verified their tokens, and they have explained how they got there. The Immortal Sea Fish Clan is our ally. They won’t deceive us,” the woman in a white dress said.
“The token might be real, but they could have stolen it. Even if they are Immortal Sea Fish Clansmen, how can we know for sure they are trustworthy? It’s hard to believe even your own clansmen these days, let alone outsiders,” the woman in a red dress said.
Just then, the woman in a white dress took out a golden token. Inscribed on the front was ‘Ancient Era’s War Clan’, and behind ‘Proxy of the Clan Chief’.
The woman in a red dress frowned in displeasure. “Moli, are you using father’s token to suppress me now?”
“Big sister, that is not my intention. The Immortal Sea Fish Clan is indeed an esteemed guest, and so far, we haven’t found any lies in their claims. Father will get to the bottom of the matter, and till then, we shouldn’t be discourteous to them,” the woman in a white dress said.
“Fine. I shan’t bother with this.”
The woman in a red dress was so angry that her face turned red. She flung her sleeves and furiously marched off with the silver-armored army.
The woman in a white dress glanced at the two old men behind her. The two of them retreated from the palace and closed the doors behind them.
Only then did the woman in a white dress greet Chu Feng and the others with a bow, saying, “Allow me to introduce myself. I am Zhan Moli. The woman in a red dress you just met is my big sister, Zhan Mudan. The incumbent clan chief is our father. My big sister can be over the top at times, but she isn’t a bad person. I hope you won’t hold it against her.”
“Don’t worry about it. We understand,” Xianhai Shaoyu replied.
“How can I address the three of you?” Zhan Moli asked.
Chu Feng, Little Fishy, and Xianhai Shaoyu revealed their names to Zhan Moli.
“Miss Moli, there is a simple way to verify our words. You just have to send someone to the place I mentioned. There must be a way out of the formation realm, right?” Xianhai Shaoyu said.
“Young master Shaoyu, there has been an incident recently. We can no longer leave the formation realm,” Zhan Moli replied.
Xianhai Shaoyu realized that things might have been trickier than he had expected.
“You don’t have to be too worried about it. We will thoroughly investigate the matter lest we wrong you. Since it’s your first time here, why don’t I bring you around?” Zhan Moli offered.
Curious about the mysterious Ancient Era’s War Clan, Chu Feng and the others accepted Zhan Moli’s invitation.
So, Zhan Moli brought Chu Feng and the others around the formation realm.
The palace they were stationed at was far from the center of the Ancient Era’s War Clan, though there were still many formations and patrolling guards. It was their forbidden ground, after all, so its defenses were bound to be tight.
It took some time before they arrived at a grand city. This was the living area of the Ancient Era’s War Clansmen.
The first thing they saw upon entering the city were nine towering sculptures. Chu Feng’s interest was immediately piqued.
The nine sculptures were comprised of saber, spear, sword, halberd, hatchet, battle-ax, hook, fork, and hammer, and each of them harnessed extraordinary energy within.
Noticing Chu Feng’s interest, Zhan Moli explained, “This is our clan’s Nine Secret Skills Inheritance Ground.”
