The news about the fact that students involved in bullying would get severely punished soon began spreading around the academy amongst students.

You know these kinds of news aren’t hard to spread around. All that was needed was for one student to hear it, then he or she would tell another student, then that student would tell another student, and before they know it, the news had spread around.

Students involved in bullying began hearing about the news, but they were finding it hard to beileve…they chose not to believe it. They’d be getting punished for bullying students soon, it just sounded absurd to their ears.

Many of the bullies laughed at the news the moment they heard it. But not all the bullies in the academy considered the news to be so absurd the moment they heard it.

The four boys who had been causing a lot of distress to Ryan’s life heard the news and didn’t find it to be completely absurd. They didn’t believe it a hundred percent, but they knew there could be a little truth to it.

And the fact that there could be a little truth to it was making them scared. They were conversing among themselves right now, and this was what their conversation sounded like,

“It couldn’t be that Ryan finally decided to report to Dylan that we’d resumed bullying him again”. One of the boys said glancing at the other boys.

“He couldn’t have done such. If the news that we’ve been hearing happens to be true, there’s a high chance it wasn’t Ryan that reported us to the teachers, it doesn’t seem like he’d ever have the courage to do such, I don’t know why,

So it has to be Dylan that reported to the teachers if the news happens to be true. And for Dylan to report to the teachers, that means Ryan must have told him about it,

But I don’t feel Ryan told him about it. Or could it be that we’re wrong? Or could it be that another student that have been getting bullied for years in this academy suddenly summoned the courage and reported us?”. Another boy voiced out.

“It could be that we are wrong. Maybe Ryan had gotten enough of the bullying he’d been receiving from us and decided to tell Dylan about it, and Dylan didn’t waste time reporting us and other bullies to the teachers,

Remember he made a deal with us on that particular day that he almost reported us to the teachers. We promised him that we’d stop causing distress to students’ lives and promised to inform other bullies to stop as well,

We informed other bullies to stop, we kept to that deal. But we didn’t stop causing distress to students’ lives, we even resumed bullying Ryan again behind his back. And I’m sure many of the students we informed to stop didn’t stop, if not all of them,

I can just imagine how angry Dylan must have felt if it happens to be that Ryan reported everything to him. We had the guts to be bullying Ryan behind his back after the promise we made to him, he must have felt really enraged the moment Ryan reported everything to him that he didn’t waste time to report to the teachers,

There’s a high chance that Ryan reported everything to Dylan, and Dylan reported it to the teachers”. Another boy stated.

The leader, who hadn’t said anything and had been listening all this while, finally spoke out,

“I agree with what you just said. There’s a high chance that the news circulating around is true, and the person that reported to the teachers was Dylan. Ryan had received enough of our bullying and decided to report us to Dylan”.

“So, what are we going to do now?”. One of the boys inquired with his gaze focused on the leader.

The leader shook his head a little before voicing out, “Honestly, I don’t know”.

“You don’t know?”. The boy uttered again with his gaze still focused on the leader.

“Yes, I don’t know”.

Silence ensued for a few seconds after the leader said that before one of the boys’ voices resounded again,

“There’s a possibility that the news circulating around isn’t true as well, so we don’t need to be too afraid”.

“And there’s a very high chance that it is true, so don’t over-relax with that kind of mindset”. Another boy said.

“I was just trying to calm everybody and reduce the tension, so you don’t need to come for me”. The boy that spoke out first voiced out again.

“I wasn’t coming for you”.

Silence ensued for a while after he said that before the leader’s voice resounded again,

“Even if the news happens to be true, we can’t run anywhere, this is our academy. I guess we just have to accept whatever punishment they throw at us, there’s nothing else we can do”.

“Are you serious?”. One of the boys uttered with his gaze focused on the leader.

“Completely serious”. The leader responded.

“What if they’d be super brutal with the punishment just as we’d been brutal with our bullying. What if the punishments thrown at us are very severe?”. Another boy voiced out with a bit of widened eyes.

“Then we accept them, what else can we do? Can we run to anywhere or something? Or we’d just stop coming to school all of a sudden because we’re trying to avoid getting punished?”.

“He is speaking the fact, we have to accept whatever punishment that is thrown at us if the news happens to be true. What else can we do? The only thing we can do to avoid getting punished is to stop coming to school, and we can’t do that out of the blue, it wouldn’t make sense,

So we just have to accept whatever punishment that is thrown at us if the news happens to be true”. One of the boys stated agreeing with what the leader said.

The other boys had a kind of distressed expression on their faces after the boy was done speaking. They knew what they were saying were complete facts, but it was just so hard to accept…

They didn’t know what to say, they just kept glancing at the leader and the other boy with that distressed expression still plastered on their faces.

The news happened to be true, everyone around the academy had confirmed that the news circulating around was true. All the students had confirmed this, and the students who were victims of bullying were so happy to hear this.

..Finally, the people who had been causing distress to their lives would be punished.

Some of them were even wishing that they’d be thrown out of the school, they were wishing for them to get expelled…that should be the final punishment they’d receive after receiving other punishments.

All the bullies around the academy had also confirmed that the news was true, and they were so scared. What they kept thinking about was the kind of severe punishment that would be thrown at them.

The four boys who were bullying Ryan behind Dylan’s back had also confirmed that the news circulating around was true, and they were scared as well.

But their fear was limited compared to the others because they’d braced themselves to an extent in expectation of this. Remember they talked about this and agreed to accept whatever punishment that is thrown at them if the news happens to be true.

That is the way in which they braced themselves.

Some of the students involved in the bullying were hoping the teachers wouldn’t recognize that they were bullies. Their mindsets were like,

‘They wouldn’t be able to recognize everyone involved in the bullying, it isn’t possible’.

Their mindsets were true, but there was something they didn’t know. The teachers had a strategy in which they planned on using to fish out all the students involved in the bullying.

No one would be left behind, no one would escape.

They had started fishing out all the students involved in the bullying by now. And the teachers weren’t doing this alone, they were doing so along with the head teacher…she was doing so with anger.

She couldn’t wait to punish the students involved in the bullying.

They were fishing out students using the names Dylan mentioned to them. But the names weren’t enough to fish out all of them.

..Once they were done using this strategy to fish out some of the bullies, they planned on using the other strategy.
