For Vessels, almost all of them were forcefully made that way, usually by a high-ranking member of the Underworld. Because of that, the limits on how much they tap into the power of their sin was limited, with Rank 8 being considered their hard cap.

On the other hand, those who become Lesser Sins all volunteered to embrace becoming part of the Underworld, allowing them to maintain sentience even after tapping into the power of their sin.

In fact, with them retaining their sentience, some Lesser Sins gain enough control over their sin and reach a higher level of power, allowing them to move up on the hierarchy of the Underworld.

It’s because of such differences that Vessels were considered by the Underworld as fodders, while Lesser Sins were considered nominal members of the organization.

Either way, Valyr and many players still thought of them as their banes of existence.

Closing the gap between the two of them all of a sudden, Valyr caught Erika unaware as he slashed out with the Supreme Blade of Primeval Flames.

Storing the Supreme Blade of Primeval Flames back into his spatial bracelet, he then took out his crimson spear once more, activating a skill he hadn’t used for quite a long time.

‘[Unfettered Spear].’

With his aura billowing out wantonly, the young man closed the gap between them once more as he struck directly at Erika’s vitals.

Feeling a slight sense of fear at the young man’s continuously overbearing attacks, Erika was forced to accept the next attack, seeing as the momentum of the young man made it impossible for her to resist.
