A smile crept across Lupus’s face as he looked at Austin. Seeing his fine figure, and seeing how he was able to survive his strike just now, it had put into perspective just what he was going up against.
“You know, I always felt saddened by one thing,” Lupus said, as he spread his legs and bending his knees, he was clearly getting into a fighting stance. “I never got to fight against Sin, the Phoenix, or Harvor the Dragon. Both powerful mythical creatures.
“I always wondered how I would fair against them, and how much my power would have increased after a delicious meal of their bodies!” Lupus’s nails were starting to grow slightly longer in size.
Ever so slightly, along with the teeth in his mouth. He wasn’t transforming; there was still no fur on his body, but he was prepared, almost salivating at his next thought.
“I can tell that you’re a powerful Mythical creature, I guess I will just have to settle for you. I hope you’re just as strong as them, because then…when I eat you, I can grow even more!”
Lupus swung his hand in the air, and a large energized claw mark had appeared. It ripped through the ground, making its way to Austin.
In response to this, Austin lifted up his foot and stomped it on the ground. A large mound of earth had appeared from the floor, blocking their view.
This move was called the Earth-shaping stomp. In his new form, Austin could channel energy into his feet and into the ground itself. It allowed him to reshape the battlefield with his powerful stomps.
Creating fissures, raising stone barriers, and even summoning debris to be hurled at his enemies.
The claw mark shattered right through the stone barrier, but when it was broken apart, Austin was no longer behind it. He knew the stone wouldn’t be strong enough to stop the attack; he had just used it as a distraction.
Austin had rushed off to the side, building up his momentum, ready to get Lupus from the side. Austin was fast, really fast, especially in his new form.
The issue was he needed to build up momentum. He started off slow and needed a run-up, and it was difficult for him to change direction quickly.
Lupus didn’t know any of this, but he just reacted out of instinct. His body quickly jumped off to the side, and then jumped off in another position, before jumping right at Austin, and delivering a heavy blow right to his face.
The sound vibrated through the entire air, but Austin kept strong with his legs firmly pushing into the ground, until another blow went to hit him from below.
Austin held onto it with both hands and felt his feet lifting from the ground.
‘That movement, I’ve seen Gary do it a few times, and these hits are so heavy…it’s like I’m going against Gary himself!’ Austin thought.
When his body was lifted into the air, the horns around his head started to wrap around Lupus’s arm, and the sharp ends were digging into his skin.
The horns of binding as Austin called them were incredibly strong and sturdy and were able to be moved at his will, allowing him to even pull himself closer to deliver a large punch right to Lupus, and that’s exactly what he did.
He pulled himself ahead and punched Lupus right in the face. The horns of binding were still dug into his arm.
“Haha, a strong hit, and strange powers, I was right, I really will enjoy eating you!” Lupus claimed, as he grabbed onto the horns dug into his arm himself, and started to use his strength to pull at them.
Austin was constantly punching Lupus in the face, hitting him again and again, hoping to hurt him, to get him to let go, but it wasn’t working.
So Austin slammed his foot into the ground and lifted a large pillar in between them, and another one trying to get right underneath Lupus himself.
Quickly Lupus let go and jumped back, breaking away, and despite being hit by Austin several times, he seemed fine, apart from the markings on his arm he had been cut up from the Horns of binding.
“So you managed to hurt me, but you’re going to have to do a lot more than that to take me out?” Lupus claimed.
Austin knew he was right, the opponent in front of him was stronger than Apollo. The main thing that Austin needed to take advantage of though, was Lupus having not transformed, not using all of his strength.
‘Although he enjoys fighting, he doesn’t seem to be as crazy as Harvor about it. Is he not transforming because he’s worried about saving his energy for the vampires involved…or maybe it was even because he’s worried about Gary.’
Austin didn’t know if Lupus knew he was part of the Howlers or not, but it didn’t matter.
‘I don’t think I can win this fight, even with my Altered form being evolved…I could tell that from the moment the two of us exchanged blows, but the least I can do, is do as much damage to him as possible!’
The main power that Austin had in his new form was his speed. His charge, he realised it every time he moved, he had yet to reach full speed.
When testing his powers, he needed to run at least for a kilometre before he could get close to reaching his top speed, and landing a blow in that state would be devastating for whoever he hit, but it was impossible in a fight.
However, his evolved form, it was as if it knew this was the case.
Austin started to run forward right at Lupus, and he was getting ready to act just like the last time.
Austin’s Horns moved in front of his head and started to twirl in front of him like two sharp spears, and then at the very end, sparks started to occur between them.
“I’ll finish this with, Dimensional charge!”
