Mo Yang.
Although some dragon race experts refused to submit to him, they had to admit he was one of the strongest experts present.
Aside from Chi Wufeng, around ten figures could potentially rival Mo Yang. However, none of them dared to say they could definitely beat him.
After all, Mo Yang’s reputation preceded him. At best, someone might achieve a narrow victory over him, but nothing decisive. Mo Yang had said that any one of them could represent the dragon race in this battle, and it would lead to the same result. As members of the dragon race, they knew their own abilities well.
Moreover, unlike many of the dragon experts, Mo Yang wasn’t overbearingly arrogant. He possessed a natural leadership quality—very powerful yet not drawing other people’s envy. His willingness to step back earlier to let another take the stage had impressed many of the heavenly geniuses. After all, such a humble attitude was very rare in the dragon race.
Now, all eyes were fixed on Long Chen and Mo Yang as they stood at the center of a wide circle, facing each other. The tension between them was palpable, an invisible current of energy crackling in the air.
“What a shame,” Long Chen sighed suddenly, breaking the silence.
“What’s a shame?” asked Mo Yang, his brow furrowing slightly.
“If my opponent had been Chi Wufeng, I could’ve saved a lot of energy,” replied Long Chen, shrugging casually.
“What?!” Chi Wufeng stepped forward, his flames flaring alongside his fury.“Long Chen, there’s no need for that kind of provocation,” Mo Yang interjected with a frown, thinking Long Chen was intentionally stirring trouble.
“Even if I explained, you wouldn’t understand. But since you’ve chosen to represent the dragon race in this battle, let’s begin,” Long Chen said nonchalantly.
“I can feel your emotions for the dragon race. However, humans are too crafty and dangerous. We cannot trust you. Even if you have the support of our race leaders, I won’t let you lead the dragon race. I will be going at full power in this battle, so be prepared. Blades have no mercy, and fists have no eyes. Life and death are up to the heavens,” said Mo Yang gravely.
It was evident that Mo Yang wasn’t just powerful—he was also highly perceptive. Without anyone needing to explain, he had pieced together the situation based purely on observation. He didn’t deny the race leaders’ decision nor showed hostility toward Long Chen. Instead, he resolved to prove his stance through action, committing himself to fight with his full strength.
His words convinced many of the dragon experts present. Compared to him, the rest of them were like a bunch of immature children.
Long Chen replied, “No problem. I came to the Dragon Domain for a mission. If you can defeat me and take it on in my place, that would save me a lot of trouble.”
“What mission?” asked Mo Yang curiously.
“If you want to know, you’ll have to beat me first. However, I will also be going at full power. I won’t show mercy,” answered Long Chen.
Long Chen started stretching his shoulders and hands, cracking his joints. At the same time, a powerful dragon might unfurled from his body. It was something that appeared naturally as his Blood Qi started circulating.
Feeling this dragon might, these heavenly geniuses were all shaken. This was no ordinary dragon might—it was ancient, sacred, and overwhelming. Even the race leaders, seasoned veterans of countless battles, felt a shudder of reverence from the depths of their souls.
“This guy’s been hiding his true self all along!” Mo Ying muttered in disbelief.
For the first time, they realized just how extraordinary Long Chen’s dragon blood was—far more enigmatic and noble than even the Dragonblood Legion’s.
The gathered dragon geniuses were equally astonished. They knew all too well that the higher the level of dragon blood, the harder it was to control. How could such terrifyingly pure dragon blood exist within a human body?
“As expected, you’re no ordinary figure,” Mo Yang said, his eyes gleaming with blazing determination. “But it doesn’t matter who you are. I will still defeat you.”
Clearly, he was excited to have such a powerful opponent. In his era, he had swept through all other geniuses, so he was looking forward to fighting at full power. That feeling of excitement couldn’t be described in words. ŔἁꞐộBĘṠ
“Come!”
“Come!”
The two spoke in unison, their gestures perfectly synchronized. In an instant, their auras erupted like tidal waves, and a wild Blood Qi flooded the Ten Thousand Dragon Nest, filling it with an oppressive, suffocating pressure.
Mo Ying and the others immediately formed hand seals, causing countless runes to fly out of the Ten Thousand Dragon Nest and condense into a martial stage.
When this martial stage appeared, someone exclaimed in astonishment, “Is this the legendary Dragon Emperor Blood Rune Stage?”
“Indeed,” confirmed Xie Qianzhong, his voice steady. “These runes are formed from the core blood runes of a Dragon Emperor. Not even another Dragon Emperor could easily disrupt them.
Though his explanation was for everyone, his gaze lingered on Long Chen, subtly assuring him. The message was clear: Long Chen could fight with his full power, without needing to worry about damaging the Ten Thousand Dragon Nest.
Of everyone present, the one to believe in Long Chen the most was Xie Qianzhong. As a member of the evil dragon race, Xie Qianzhong understood that the "evil" in their name didn’t signify malice. Instead, it represented defiance against a conventional path. For reasons even he couldn’t fully articulate, he had trusted Long Chen instinctively from the moment they met. This trust bordered on the irrational, yet it felt entirely natural.
Spatial laws supported the martial stage, creating a wide space for Long Chen and Mo Yang. They now stood three hundred meters apart, their Blood Qi clashing in the air with such intensity that visible ripples formed.
As these ripples reached the crowd, they carried a powerful tearing force that seemed to resonate with the core of everyone present. The heavenly geniuses felt their blood heating up.
The pressure in the air grew in tandem with the rising auras of the two combatants. The ground beneath their feet trembled, cracks spidering out across the surface. Even the space started to twist around them.
Mo Yang’s runes were black, while Long Chen’s glowed red, each like a volcano erupting with unstoppable power. Neither could overwhelm the other.
The dragon race’s heavenly geniuses watched in shock. Long Chen’s dragon might felt boundless, as vast as the ocean. They couldn’t believe such power resided in a human.
Suddenly, both fighters moved. Mo Yang formed a strange gesture, while Long Chen made a hand seal.
Behind Mo Yang, his Heavenly Fate Disk materialized, while an eight-colored divine ring appeared behind Long Chen.
“Black Dragon of the Azure Sea!”
“Scarlet Dragon Battle Armor!”
They shouted in unison, and an overwhelming surge of Blood Qi shook the Ten Thousand Dragon Nest.
