“So soon?” Long Chen was genuinely surprised.

“There are suspicious figures appearing around the Dragon Domain,” reported Mo Ying, her tone calm yet resolute. “They’ve been detected by my scouts.”

Hearing this, the other race leaders exchanged uneasy glances. Previously, Mo Ying had claimed she monitored the entire Dragon Domain, a bold assertion they’d found hard to believe. But now, they realized her words were no exaggeration.

“How many? Do they look like they’re about to attack?” asked Long Chen.

“Suspicious figures have emerged from eight directions,” replied Mo Ying. “I’ve ordered my scouts to report anything suspicious immediately and not to investigate it themselves. After all, while they’re skilled in concealing themselves, their actual power is only average. If they were to get any closer, they would be discovered, so they could only watch from hidden locations. Currently, over ten figures have appeared in those eight directions, likely the scouts of the enemies.”

Mo Ying commanded a group of experts skilled in the art of concealment. In fact, she was the first to learn of Long Chen’s entry into the Dragon Domain. Despite his immense power, even Long Chen couldn’t detect the scouts, which highlighted their level of expertise.

Thanks to their vigilance, Mo Ying was able to keep every movement within the Dragon Domain under close surveillance.

“In my opinion, we should just attack them while they aren’t ready. We’ll catch them off-guard and slaughter them all!” shouted one heavenly genius of the dragon race.

The others didn’t say a word, looking at him coldly. The genius quickly realized his blunder. He had just agreed to follow Long Chen’s leadership, but in his excitement, he had forgotten. That made it so that his previous agreement was nothing more than a fart.

“Ah, my apologies…” He scratched his head awkwardly, realizing his mistake.

Long Chen gave a small, knowing smile and said, “Everyone, feel free to share your thoughts. We still have time to discuss. But when that time runs out, I hope you’ll listen to my orders without hesitation. This brother proposes to directly attack them. In truth, it’s not a bad idea. The enemy is scouting us, and they’re clearly unprepared. We could catch them off guard and seize the initiative…”

The genius puffed up with pride, as if to say he had been right all along. He looked around at the others, almost daring them to disagree.

However, Long Chen continued, “But there are many issues with this plan. Yes, they’re unprepared, but so are we. We don’t even have a basic formation or a coordinated strategy. The leadership of the different races hasn’t been finalized. If we attack now, chaos will ensue. Moreover, though we’ve seen signs of the enemy, we know nothing about their full strength or numbers. These scouts could very well be bait, leading us into a trap. If we act rashly, we might fall right into it. After all, the enemy understands the nature of the dragon race all too well…”

The dragon race genius instantly deflated, his earlier enthusiasm crushed by Long Chen’s words. But then, Long Chen’s voice rang out with renewed intensity. “This battle is not just about the revival of the Dragon Domain. It’s a battle for our very rise. We’re announcing to the world that the dragon race is reclaiming its rightful place at the pinnacle of the ten thousand races! We do not just need to win this battle—it must be a complete triumph. We will let every corner of the nine heavens and ten lands hear the roars of the dragon race!”

His voice grew more powerful with each word, infectious with passion. The dragon experts felt their blood stir and their hearts burn with the fire of his resolve.

“This time, our goal is to slaughter every single one of the invaders. We will not let a single one escape. For now, let’s ignore the small fries. We will focus on increasing our power to prepare for the main course. I have no doubt—once our Dragon Domain is united, no enemy will stand in our way,” Long Chen declared, raising his fist high, his gaze sharp and fierce.

Having the dragon race’s full support, Long Chen was confident. This time, he would kill and kill until the heavens flipped. Hearing that Long Chen’s goal was to annihilate all their enemies, these heavenly geniuses were exceptionally excited.

“However, we have our own internal strife,” reminded Mo Ying, worried that Long Chen had forgotten about the resonant dragon and bone dragon race.

The current Dragon Domain was not one solid block. The resonant dragon race and bone dragon race were the true obstacles that threatened their unity.

Long Chen replied, “That is not an issue. In front of absolute power, all schemes are worthless. Right now, what we must do is accumulate all our power to prepare for a large battle.”

Seeing how confident Long Chen seemed, although Mo Ying was still a bit worried, she didn’t say anything further. To voice her doubts now would be seen as questioning Long Chen’s leadership—something she knew was taboo. She trusted him, but the internal unrest within the Dragon Domain remained a source of unease.

The other race leaders, however, were not so concerned. They had come to trust Long Chen more with every passing moment. They had witnessed firsthand how he diffused the tension among the heavenly geniuses, turning them from potential threats into loyal followers.

For the dragon race, trust was often built on intuition, and once they committed, they did so without question. Long Chen had earned that trust.

“Then let us awaken our ancestors. This battle relates to the survival of the Dragon Domain. We cannot be careless,” said the white dragon race leader. 𝖗Á𐌽ꝋ𝔟ÈṨ

Long Chen nodded. “To be prepared is best.”

Long Chen had been informed that the Dragon Domain was home to nine ancient ancestors—true Dragon Emperors who were essentially living fossils. These beings had been alive since the immemorial era, long before the present age.

Over the vast stretch of time, the world had changed, and so had the dragon race. The once abundant spiritual qi had grown sparse, and with it, the Dragon Emperors’ bodies had begun to decline.

The most alarming aspect of this decline was that it could not be reversed. Their lifespans were steadily diminishing. In a desperate attempt to prolong their existence, they had sealed themselves away. This slowed the rate at which their longevity was consumed, but no matter how gradual, time eventually wore down even their mighty forms.

In theory, once a cultivator reached the Eternal realm and condensed the Eternal runes, their lifespan should be limitless. However, these runes were intrinsically tied to the laws of heaven and earth. If the heavens and earth were to decay, so would the Eternal experts.

In the primal chaos era, Eternity was a true, undying state. But that was a long time ago. In the present nine heavens and ten lands, no one truly achieved Eternity. Even Dragon Emperors, with their ancient power, were not exempt from death when their longevity finally ran out.

The Dragon Domain was now facing a critical crisis. Without the ancestors, Mo Ying and the others lacked the confidence to face the coming tribulation. If the battle became too close, and they lost too many heavenly geniuses, the Dragon Domain would be left vulnerable. Given the severity of the situation, awakening the ancestors was the only option.

Moreover, it was likely that the resonant dragon and bone dragon races had awakened their ancestors, leaving the Dragon Domain with no choice but to follow suit.

With Long Chen’s approval, Mo Ying and the others returned to their respective races to awaken their ancestors.

As for Long Chen, he selected seven leaders from the heavenly geniuses. Since they were temporary leaders chosen by him, everyone accepted the arrangement. Thus, the seven factions began to take shape, and Long Chen felt a sense of relief.

Inside, however, Long Chen was filled with anticipation. “Silver Hair Void Crusher, you’d better come this time!”
