When Long Chen and Yue Zifeng reappeared, they found themselves back in the Dragon Domain, only to sense something strange—time here flowed differently.

It then dawned on them that the time flow in Sovereign Dragon Valley was far slower than that of the Heaven Essence World. What had felt like three days in Sovereign Dragon Valley had been an entire month outside.

The Dragon Domain was in ruins. The air was thick with the metallic tang of blood, and the remnants of its once-majestic structures spoke of the horrors it had endured.

Above it all, a massive, jagged crack scarred the sky, splitting the Dragon Domain in two. It was a wound the world itself couldn’t mend.

Long Chen and Yue Zifeng’s sudden arrival caused a commotion. Countless experts from various races, who had been investigating the aftermath of the Dragon Domain’s destruction, froze in shock.

This calamity had sent shockwaves through the entire Heaven Essence World, prompting the races and factions to dispatch their best to uncover the truth. As a result, there was a large number of people in the vicinity.

They all jumped when Long Chen and Yue Zifeng tore through the void and appeared amongst them.

“Long Chen?!”

A cry of recognition broke the silence, followed by a surge of movement. Experts from many factions rushed to encircle the two of them, their eyes gleaming with suspicion and hostility.

Long Chen’s gaze landed on the one who had shouted. It was a white-haired elder clad in the robes of the Brahma Pill Valley. Faith energy swirled around him, exuding an oppressive aura. His status as a half-step Divine Emperor was unmistakable.

“Speak, what happened here?! Did you see a man with silver hair? If you dare to lie, I’ll make you wish you were never born!” the elder roared, his voice brimming with hostility.

The Brahma Pill Valley had been the first to catch wind of Long Chen’s presence in the Dragon Domain, and they had immediately reported it to the Silver Hair Void Crusher. After receiving this report, the Silver Hair Void Crusher ordered them not to make any rash moves and immediately vanished.

Given his exalted status, no one dared question his actions or whereabouts. But soon after, the shocking news of the Dragon Domain’s annihilation spread, shaking the Heaven Essence World to its core.

With its far-reaching network of informants, the Brahma Pill Valley immediately sent people over after receiving the word.

Upon arrival, they were greeted by a chilling scene. The air still carried remnants of faith energy—a fiery, unsettling trace that permeated the battlefield. Based on the fluctuations, this trace belonged to the Silver Hair Void Crusher.

This discovery terrified the investigator, and he immediately sent back word.

As a result, this elder—one of the four vice valley masters of the Brahma Pill Valley—was sent to investigate further. He was shocked to find that the information was accurate. The burning faith energy was a sign that the Silver Hair Void Crusher had perished here.

However, even with the evidence right in front of him, this elder refused to believe it. He stubbornly ordered his followers to scour the battlefield for further clues, convinced there had to be some mistake.

Yet, after nearly a month of exhaustive investigation, every fragment of evidence pointed to the same conclusion: the Silver Hair Void Crusher was dead. Not a single anomaly left room for doubt.

The vice valley master was completely stunned, wondering how one of the eight great divine commanders could die here. With the support of their divine thrones, they were basically undying existences. Who could possibly kill the Silver Hair Void Crusher?

When Long Chen appeared, the vice valley master wasted no time. He barked an order, and Long Chen was immediately surrounded. The Silver Hair Void Crusher had come for Long Chen, so the latter was bound to know the truth behind what had happened here.

The elder’s thunderous roar quickly drew the attention of the other experts in the vicinity, causing a stampede of figures to rush to the scene. Those unaffiliated with the Brahma Pill Valley hung back, forming an outer ring of spectators, while factions with ties to them closed in, joining the inner circle alongside the elder’s followers.

As the encirclement tightened and the vice valley master’s expression twisted with rage, Long Chen and Yue Zifeng exchanged amused glances.

It was clear to both of them that this elder was nothing more than an administrator—a half-step Divine Emperor whose authority stemmed from his status and the faith energy surrounding him rather than his actual combat prowess. While his aura might intimidate weaker experts, it held no weight against Long Chen or Yue Zifeng.

“Who are you?” asked Long Chen.

Although the question was a bit meaningless, Long Chen knew that the other side would understand his intentions.

“This is the Brahma Pill Valley’s vice valley master! He asked you a question, so you’d best answer truthfully! Your lives depend entirely on his mood!” barked another elder standing beside the vice valley master, his voice brimming with arrogance.

“Hahaha!” Long Chen and Yue Zifeng burst into laughter, which then echoed across the tense battlefield.

“What are you laughing at?!” shouted one of the Brahma Pill Valley’s experts.

They immediately raised their weapons, looking like they would tear Long Chen and Yue Zifeng to pieces at a single command.

Long Chen’s control over his aura was impeccable, bordering on perfection. Even the vice valley master, a half-step Divine Emperor, was unable to gauge his strength.

To the Human Emperors present, Long Chen’s Blood Qi seemed utterly calm, devoid of any discernible threat. While they had heard tales of his fearsome power, they believed them to only be rumors.

As for Yue Zifeng, he was even less conspicuous. His aura was so weak that he seemed like an ordinary man with no Blood Qi or Spiritual Strength to speak of. It was as if they could blow him apart with a sneeze.

As a result, these idiots didn’t view the two as a threat. They only refrained from attacking outright because they wanted some information. Otherwise, they would have unleashed their wrath.

Yue Zifeng finally broke the silence, shaking his head with a faint smile. “Even someone as powerful as the Nether Emperor wouldn’t dare utter such arrogant words in front of my boss. I truly admire your courage.”

“The Nether Emperor?”

Gasps rippled through the crowd at the mention of such a name. However, they instantly felt like this little fellow didn’t know how high the heavens were. How dare he casually bring up the Nether Emperor’s name?

After all, the Nether Emperor was a legendary existence. According to them, using his name as a bluff only revealed Yue Zifeng’s ignorance.

“Enough! If you don’t appreciate our patience, then you’ll learn the hard way!” snarled one of the Human Emperors.

Infuriated by Long Chen and Yue Zifeng’s laughter, he lunged forward, intent on teaching them a lesson.

The vice valley master made no move to stop his follower. Clearly, he was planning on using this person to test out their power.

However, before the Human Emperor could even complete his first step, Yue Zifeng extended a single finger. A sharp gust of wind, condensed like a sword, tore through the sky and pierced the Human Emperor’s head with lethal precision.

“What?!”

With the flick of the finger, a young expert had slain a Human Emperor, stunning everyone in the surroundings.

Before the crowd could recover, Yue Zifeng unsheathed his sword. A brilliant light exploded from the blade, illuminating the sky. Millions of sword images blossomed like a radiant lotus, covering the entire battlefield.
