The heaven-shaking saber slashed down behind Long Chen, intercepting a trident that had suddenly appeared out of the void.
This attack should have caught Long Chen completely off guard. With his focus on the old monkey, he shouldn’t have had time to react.
Yet, as if Long Chen had anticipated the old crone of the sea whale race’s sneak attack, he had Evilmoon absorbed all the energy from the Divine Defense shield.
BOOM!
The trident exploded, and the old crone was cleaved in two. Even in death, she couldn’t comprehend how she had failed.
As her body split, her true form was revealed. Before her corpse could fully expand, Long Chen waved his hand, pulling it into the primal chaos space.
The black soil there was still digesting the previous sea whale corpse when a fresh one appeared.
“How could this be…?
Hou Tianwu’s father was withering. His aura flickered like a candle in the wind, looking like it would snuff out at any moment. He stared in disbelief at the shield before him. This attack containing the essence of his life couldn’t even shake this shield.
“Old thing, your death isn’t unjust. This is my strongest divine ability. Well, time’s up. Don’t keep your son waiting. And when you see him, make sure to pass along my regards,” Long Chen said, extending a finger.A bolt of lightning pierced Hou Tianwu’s father’s head. Already on the brink of death, he was powerless to resist. He perished instantly.
Everyone was stunned. Just what kind of monster was Long Chen? Even when besieged by multiple thirteen-vein Heaven Saints, he could still kill two Demon Emperors of the senior generation—and make it look effortless.
Feng Xinyue stood in the air, her beautiful eyes gleaming as she scanned the battlefield. The Dragonblood Legion was like a pack of tigers among sheep, slaughtering without resistance. Meanwhile, Tang Wan-er directed the Hidden Dragon Legion and the Wind God Sea Pavilion’s disciples, rarely needing to act personally.
Feng Xinyue felt immense gratification. Tang Wan-er had grown significantly—no longer stubborn or competitive but someone who considered the bigger picture. She gradually gained the air of a real leader.
With this side of the battlefield secure, most of Feng Xinyue’s attention remained on Long Chen. Even while surrounded by so many experts, his attacks and strategies were impeccable.
This was the demeanor of a true commander—someone in complete control. Even Feng Xinyue couldn’t help but be moved. Some people were born leaders, and no amount of effort could replicate this level of command.
In just a short while, two Demon Emperors from the primal chaos era had fallen. To an outsider, Long Chen’s tactics might seem like little tricks, but to Feng Xinyue, they were the mark of true wisdom.
“Your arrogance ends here!” shouted Fantian De.
All of a sudden, Fantian De reappeared, divine light blazing around him. Countless runes converged on his forehead, forming an indistinct Brahma character.
As this character emerged, Fantian De’s aura changed. Divine might radiated from him, and the space behind him split open, revealing a figure. When it appeared, a suffocating pressure instantly locked onto Long Chen.
Resting Evilmoon on his shoulder, Long Chen sneered, “Finally calling out your daddy? I was wondering why you held back. Could it be you’re an unfilial son?”
This figure was unmistakably Lord Brahma. However, it wasn’t a statue but an avatar—a being between reality and illusion. When it emerged, it poured endless divine energy into Fantian De.
“Since you dared to blaspheme Divine Venerate Brahma, you deserve ten thousand deaths! I’ve allowed you to act arrogantly for too long. Now, you’ll witness the true gap between us!” Fantian De declared, his voice laced with divine authority.
Each of his words dripped with supreme divine might, as if what he spoke of was a god’s edict. The ten thousand Daos resonated with him. Even the slightest power from Lord Brahma’s avatar was enough to suppress the heavens and earth.
“Give it up. Will you die if you don’t brag? From the start, when have I, Long Chen, not been arrogant? You couldn’t beat me, so you’re summoning Lord Brahma’s power. If you want to summon it to help you, then just do it. You don’t need to find so many worthless excuses. If you had the ability, you wouldn’t need other people’s power. But since you do, you’re in no position to act tough, understand?” Long Chen scoffed.
Long Chen had long since known that Fantian De had such a trump card up his sleeve. He had been waiting for it the entire time. As a son of Lord Brahma, this boy was using his daddy’s power—nothing surprising about that.
However, what disgusted Long Chen was how Fantian De had the audacity to act like a supreme expert, using his daddy’s power and acting as if he had been toying with Long Chen the entire time. That was pathetic.
“Shut your mouth! I can’t be bothered to talk with you! Your life shall be taken by me, Fantian De!” exclaimed daddy’s boy.
BOOM!
Fantian De trembled, his figure suddenly splitting into multiple afterimages as he shot toward Long Chen.
“Can you stop bragging already?”
Long Chen was irritated. With his dragon veins ignited, violet divine light erupted from him as he swung his saber.
BOOM!
Evilmoon clashed with the Brahma Blade. Faith energy and divine light collided like two opposing worlds, each trying to overwhelm the other. Their powers surged endlessly, as if neither had a limit.
Even after summoning the power of Lord Brahma’s avatar, Fantian De couldn’t suppress Long Chen. A trace of disbelief appeared in his eyes.
“If my power is a hundred, then yours is barely thirty. Lord Brahma’s avatar might be at a thousand, but so what? In your frail little body, how much of that power can you actually withstand? Did you really think summoning an avatar would be enough to suppress me? Your head must be full of shit, am I right?” mocked Long Chen.
BOOM!
With one ferocious shove, Long Chen sent Fantian De flying. Everyone was shocked. Even now, Fantian De was unable to suppress Long Chen?
“Brahma High Wind Slash!” Fantian De roared.
Clutching his sword with both hands, he slashed downward even as he was blown back. The heavens themselves seemed to be split apart.
In response, thirteen violet dragons coiled around Long Chen’s arm, surging onto Evilmoon’s blade. A deadly violet ripple pulsed along its edge.
“Edged Dragon Blood!” Long Chen shouted.
BOOM!
The divine weapons clashed once more. This time, both fighters grunted as they were forced back. Neither side had gained the upper hand.
The terrifying pressure shook the heavens, causing the world’s laws to collapse. The void looked like a cotton sheet with a hole in it, and the Grand Dao runes struggled to repair the damage.
Most of the experts present had never seen such a phenomenon before. The destructive power sent chills down their spines.
As a result, the experts of various races were no longer in the mood to fight the Dragonblood Legion. They slowly retreated from the battlefield.
“I refuse to accept this!” roared Fantian De, unable to believe that he couldn’t suppress Long Chen even with the support of the Brahma avatar.
Saber and sword clashed again and again, each strike sending ripples of death surging through the void.
In the span of a single breath, they exchanged thirty-six blows before finally breaking apart.
Long Chen was panting slightly, showing signs of fatigue.
But Fantian De…
His chest heaved violently, his breath ragged like an overworked bull. Blood and sweat covered his body. Clearly, his exhaustion was even greater than Long Chen’s.
BOOM!
Suddenly, space shuddered.
A pitch-black hand descended silently, aiming straight for Long Chen.
