Chapter 6061 Refining Cauldron Through Lightning

Chapter 6061 Refining Cauldron Through Lightning

Even true Sovereign Lords were helpless before these terrifying lightning swords. The latter were so powerful that not even Sovereign weapons could fully block them.

Every single one of these Sovereign Lords possessed a Sovereign weapon. Blocking one or two strikes was manageable, but this was a relentless storm. The weapons simply couldn’t endure this level of bombardment.

After dozens of attacks, the weapons’ core runes would be damaged, and their power would plummet. Even the finest Sovereign weapons would crumble after a hundred hits.

On the other hand, these black lightning swords posed no threat to double-body Sovereign Lords. When they summoned their quintessence Sovereign bodies, the space around them distorted, and the lightning swords bounced right away.

The lightning swords couldn’t pierce their protective divine light, which was imbued with the embryonic laws of space. While not as refined as the spatial laws wielded by third Heavenstage Sovereign Lords, it was still enough to deflect the attacks.

As a result, the double-body Sovereign Lords remained untouched by the storm of swords.

Unfortunately, the Sovereign Lords without this spatial power had no such advantage. Without Long Chen’s phantom-like movement art and sharp senses, they couldn’t dodge the lightning swords and could only try to block them.

But there was no end in sight. The Sovereign Lords were barely holding on.

They were trying to kill Long Chen, but he was shuttling through the lightning swords like a fish in water. None of them could catch him.

Many experts ended up dying to the lightning swords in a vain attempt to capture Long Chen. They were now terrified and begged the double-body Sovereign Lords to kill him.

Seeing that the double-body Sovereign Lords were not moved by this plea, a devil expert couldn’t help but roar, “Kill him! Otherwise, everyone will die!”

“Damn, are they trying to use the tribulation’s power to advance to the third Heavenstage?!” exclaimed someone, realizing what their motive was.

They were using their quintessence Sovereign bodies to absorb the lightning in preparation for advancing to the third Heavenstage. No wonder they didn’t care about everyone else’s survival.

“What do the deaths of a group of ants have to do with me? Go die over there,” sneered a double-body Sovereign Lord of the demon race.

Let alone these strangers, he didn’t even bother saving his fellow demon experts.

The tribulation lightning contained the pure will of the Heavenly Daos. But more than that, its thunderforce was incredibly pure—perfect for tempering their quintessence bodies.

This was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, and they had to take it.

Compared to the chance to ascend to the third Heavenstage, the lives of ordinary Sovereign Lords were worthless. A third Heavenstage Sovereign Lord was on a whole other level—an entirely new tier of existence!

“No…!”

“Damn Long Chen…!”

“You idiots, I curse you to die in this tribulation…!”

More and more Sovereign Lords fell. Some screamed in despair, while others cursed in fury. But none of it mattered.

Death was the only thing waiting for them.

The Dragon Domain’s experts were stiff with fear as they watched these terrifying Sovereign Lords die like ants.

“Our Ten Thousand Dragon Nests, our home!”

A cry rang out from the crowd.

While many were watching the Sovereign Lords perish, others stared in anguish as their beloved Ten Thousand Dragon Nests were obliterated by the lightning swords. Their homeland was destroyed.

“There’s no need to mourn. How can new life grow if the old doesn’t go away? Our children have already overcome their tribulations. They’ll build a new Dragon Domain, a greater and more glorious one than ours,” said an elder solemnly.

Although those were words of wisdom, it didn’t ease the pain in their hearts. None of them felt good watching their home collapse.

Within the heavenly tribulation, Long Chen grabbed the final blood-soaked corpse and flung it into the primal chaos space. Only the double-body Sovereign Lords remained now.

The lightning swords were still ravaging this space, but the murderous aura continued to grow stronger.

From this moment on, Long Chen stopped dodging, and a bronze cauldron appeared above him. It was the Demon Moon Cauldron.

It looked different now. Its aura was heavier, more reserved. The once-lustrous cauldron was now dim and battered, like a weapon that had endured too many battles.

“Many thanks, Senior,” said Long Chen.

He could sense that the Earth Cauldron had once again depleted its core energy to help refine the Demon Moon Cauldron.

New runes had been engraved into it—runic marks from the Earth Cauldron itself. All the energy that the Demon Moon Cauldron had previously accumulated had now been forged into core energy, making it stronger… and more stable.

Just how precious was the Earth Cauldron’s core energy? To part with so much of it for the Demon Moon Cauldron was an enormous sacrifice.

However, this was how the Earth Cauldron chose to help Long Chen. It couldn’t attack his enemies, but it could bolster his strength from the shadows.

A lightning sword came crashing down, slamming into the Demon Moon Cauldron. It shuddered violently, nearly thrown aside.

But it held firm.

Strike after strike landed. The cauldron trembled, and faint cracks started to spread across its surface.

“Senior, is this alright?” asked Long Chen, concerned.

If this continued, the Demon Moon Cauldron would explode. Once that happened, Yao Ling-er would also die.

“It’s dangerous. But this is Yao Ling-er’s choice. Her vessel is of good quality, but the runes are flawed. To withstand my core runes, the lightning tribulation must temper her. The impurities must be purged. It’s like carving out bones to remove the tumors.”

BOOM!

Another strike landed, and shards flew from the Demon Moon Cauldron. Long Chen clenched his fists, his heart filled with unease.

But he couldn’t interfere. This was her path. Her choice.

The cauldron looked to be on the edge of collapse. Only the sections reinforced by core runes remained intact. Without them, it would’ve shattered long ago.

Yet, it continued to stay above Long Chen’s head, unmoved by pain or destruction. More lightning swords rained down, and still, it refused to budge. It was as if it would rather die than fail again.

Long Chen stood in silence, his nerves taut. His gaze was locked on the cauldron.

Time passed bit by bit.

The Demon Moon Cauldron looked like it could collapse at any moment, but it endured.

BOOM!

Finally, after thousands of strikes, a rune on the Demon Moon Cauldron emitted a demonic red glow.

“Now!”

Within the primal chaos space, the Earth Cauldron quivered. Outside, ten thousand flame dragons erupted around the Demon Moon Cauldron.
