Chapter 6143 Inescapable Net
“You damn ant—fuck off!”
Fan Ji roared furiously. His divine statue blazed with holy light as a radiant formation emerged.
“The Brahma Divine Diagram!”
A thunderous hum filled the air. The Brahma Divine Diagram radiated terrifying divine energy—its aura no weaker than the twelve-winged Heaven Devil.
“My Brahma Divine Diagram was at a critical breakthrough stage… and you’ve forced me to use it. Die for your crimes!” shouted Fan Ji.
Fan Ji’s hand seals glowed, and the divine light from the diagram condensed violently. The next moment, waves of suction erupted, pulling Long Chen and his two spirits toward it.
“Scatter!” Long Chen barked, instantly recognizing the danger.
He had fought against the Brahma Divine Diagram many times. Once drawn into its inner world, escape would be difficult—even for him.
Even if it failed to trap them permanently, getting out would take considerable time and energy. That delay alone would give Fan Ji time to recover, and once his injuries healed, the situation would turn against Long Chen.
This divine son bastard is stacked with treasures… Long Chen thought grimly. If he has more backup coming from Pill Valley, we can’t afford to stall. Perhaps they are on their way here.
“Did I say you could leave?!”
Fan Ji sneered and wove a new series of hand seals. The divine statue in his manifestation pulsed, pouring power into the Brahma Divine Diagram.
“If I want to leave, do you think a little divine son could stop me?” replied Long Chen.
With a wave of his hand, Long Chen sent the Demon Moon Cauldron whistling over. The Demon Moon Cauldron’s runes lit up as it condensed all its power.
BOOM!
The Demon Moon Cauldron slammed into the Brahma Divine Diagram, causing the latter to shudder, its force field shattered.
“What?! The Heaven Earth Cauldron? No… that aura’s off. It’s not the real one.” Fan Ji’s expression twisted. Upon closer inspection, he realized it was not the true Heaven Earth Cauldron—the demonic qi on it was far too dense.
As the Demon Moon Cauldron blocked the Brahma Divine Diagram, Long Chen regained his freedom.
“Little bastard, I slapped your right cheek today. Next time, I’ll hit the left.”
Long Chen’s Kunpeng wings flared, and he vanished like a streak of light, but not before provoking Fan Ji one last time.
“Brahma Power! Ten Thousand Laws Obey! Heaven Earth All Encompassing Net!” Fan Ji shouted.
Fan Ji formed hand seals and detonated the divine statue behind him to unleash a divine ability.
He was beyond furious. If not for the earlier injuries, he could have killed Long Chen in three moves—or so he believed. But now, humiliated and driven to desperation, he exploded his own manifestation to activate this supreme technique.
Though it wouldn’t harm his physical body, it burned through a massive amount of faith energy—something that would take ages to replenish.
Fan Ji was pained over the cost, but he felt like he would die of rage if he didn’t kill Long Chen.
The sky and earth trembled. A colossal net formed in the heavens, woven from the laws of nature and faith energy themselves. It sealed off everything.
“Long Chen, this is a true inescapable net. The laws of heaven and earth are mine. Not even a sixth Heavenstage Sovereign Lord would be able to break it, let alone a trash like you! You won’t be able to escape today!” Fan Ji shouted at the fleeing Long Chen.
The enormous net started to retract. The void thundered as the earth quaked and cracked beneath its weight. Half of it loomed above the sky, the other half rooted deep into the ground—forming a perfect seal centered on Fan Ji himself. As it contracted, there was truly no escape.
But Long Chen didn’t even glance back. He kept flying at full speed, drawing closer and closer to the edge of the net.
“It’s no good! This net is woven from the laws of nature. Without the refined blood moon runes, we can’t break it!” Evilmoon cried out anxiously.
“Big brother Long Chen, I don’t think I can break it either,” said the Demon Moon Cauldron, its tone uncharacteristically unsure. This net was terrifying.
“Ignore that. Just unleash your aura and make your body huge. You’re not here to break the net—you’re just blocking Fan Ji’s line of sight,” Long Chen said with a sly grin.
“Ah, I understand!” the Demon Moon Cauldron replied, excited.
“Now!” shouted Long Chen.
Buzz.
The Demon Moon Cauldron suddenly appeared above Long Chen’s head. It grew and grew, emitting a powerful pressure like an immovable mountain.
“Hmph, a fake. Keep dreaming,” Fan Ji scoffed. “Long Chen, I’ll make you beg for death. If I wasn’t injured and unable to summon my full power, could you have even lasted three moves?”
The image of himself being slapped across the face—left wearing nothing but a red corset—still burned in his mind. His gritted teeth nearly snapped from rage. He kept a close eye on Long Chen, wanting to make sure it captured Long Chen instead of accidentally killing him.
BOOM!
Suddenly, the Demon Moon Cauldron slammed into the contracting net and blew a massive hole clean through it.
Fan Ji’s eyes almost flew out of their sockets.
“This is impossible!” he roared, surging with divine energy as he shot toward Long Chen in a panic.
The net rapidly crumbled. Runes of the natural laws scattered like motes of light.
By the time Fan Ji arrived, Long Chen had already vanished. All that remained was a gaping tear in space—and Fan Ji’s own fury.
“LONG CHEN!” Fan Ji howled like a mad beast, his body trembling.
He reached into the sky and pulled a jade plate—the photographic jade that had been recording the entire battle. With a crack, he crushed it in his fist. There was nothing inside worth preserving—only shame.
At this moment, one figure after another appeared. All of them possessed incredibly powerful auras. They were all mid-stage Sovereign Lords. Amongst them was even a peak sixth Heavenstage Sovereign Lord, someone who was one step from reaching the late stage.
“Divine son!”
They all bowed with the utmost reverence.
Fan Ji looked at them, his heart heavy with regret. If he hadn’t dismissed them to fight Long Chen alone, how could Long Chen have possibly escaped?
However, then he thought about it. Even if they had stayed… he would have fought Long Chen one-on-one anyway. And if they had witnessed how miserably he had lost…
Would he have had to silence every last one of them?
“They fled. Follow the tracking mark immediately. As for Long Chen, I want him captured alive!” ordered Fan Ji.
“Divine son… Master Long Can’s tracking mark… has been erased,” sighed the sixth Heavenstage Sovereign Lord.
“What?!”
Fan Ji roared, flustered and exasperated. The world around him tilted and spun.
“Divine son!”
The Sovereign Lords cried out in shock.
