One Piece: Don't Worry, I'm a Doctor
Chapter 266: Go? Isn’t that a bit too fast?Chapter 266: Chapter 266: Go? Isn’t that a bit too fast?
Vir went straight to Hancock’s side.
“It’s time for us to go.”
Vir spoke softly.
Hearing this, Hancock—who had been icy and unapproachable just moments ago—immediately blushed.
Was this… a proposal?
His voice was so gentle.
She absolutely loved it~
“O-Oh! Okay!”
After a brief pause, Hancock quickly ordered her subordinates to inform the Marines. Meanwhile, she set off to prepare supplies.
Her own belongings were already packed.
She was gathering things Vir might need.
As soon as Vir left, two figures simultaneously landed on the arena.
The moment Shiki saw Marco, his face darkened like a pot bottom.
“What the hell are you trying to pull, brat?”
Shiki’s tone was sharp.
Marco hesitated, unsure how to respond.
Compared to Vir, he still lacked a certain boldness.
Vir loved teasing old-timers by messing with their daughters.
Marco, however, wasn’t quite as daring.
“Uh… Old man—er, I mean, Golden Lion—no, wait, Uncle Shiki! Look, we’ve known each other for years, right? So… how about you let Jina… I mean, entrust Jina to me?”
Despite his usual confidence, Marco stumbled over his words.
Hearing this, Shiki’s already-dark expression turned pitch-black.
“You little—! Go f—”
“Hehehe~ slurp~”
Before Shiki could finish, his demeanor suddenly shifted.
His eyes glazed over, drool dripping from his mouth.
A snot bubble even popped out of nowhere.
Marco was stunned.
’Huh? What’d the old geezer just say?’
’Did he say to go for it?’
’To hurry up and go for it?’
’Hold on, Uncle Shiki.’
’It’s not up to you—your daughter’s gotta agree first!’
’Telling me to go for it right away… isn’t that a bit too fast?’
’I’m not really prepared for this…’
For once, Marco fidgeted awkwardly.
The phrasing was way too misleading.
Ignoring the now-bubbling Shiki, Marco crouched down and enveloped Jina in his phoenix flames.
Jina wasn’t critically injured—just a ruptured right eardrum and a missing arm.
Wrapped in Marco’s regenerative flames, she felt an overwhelming warmth.
A sense of security enveloped her.
The icy terror from Vir’s lightning strike faded, her frozen heart gradually thawing.
The lingering fear of death vanished.
Her ear tingled as the eardrum healed.
But the sensation made Jina’s cheeks flush.
Seeing her blush, Marco’s own face heated up.
In that moment, the self-proclaimed “love expert” Marco… completely froze up.
“Earlier… thank you. And now, too…”
Jina’s voice was soft.
Hearing this, Marco felt his head itch—as if his brain was about to grow a new wrinkle.
He scratched his scalp, grinning sheepishly.
“Nah, don’t mention it! Just doing what I should.”
Watching from the stands, Rayleigh shook his head in disappointment.
Pathetic.
If it were him, Whitebeard would’ve had a great-grandkid by now.
Speaking of which, Whitebeard’s crew doesn’t seem to have a single competent guy in this department…
—
Meanwhile, in the Fleet Admiral’s office…
“Sengoku, why’d you send Kizaru out at a time like this? If Whitebeard’s crew catches him, we’re already down one Admiral. That’d put us in a real bad spot.”
Vice Admiral Tsuru sat beside Sengoku, frowning.
Sengoku, buried in paperwork, sighed and looked up.
“We’ve got a big problem on our hands.”
His tone made Tsuru’s expression tighten.
“What kind of problem?”
“Just got a call from Momonga. He said he sensed an aura so overwhelming it gave him chills from ten kilometers away.”
Sengoku rubbed his temples.
For some reason, an ominous feeling gnawed at him.
“Ten kilometers?!”
Tsuru couldn’t hide her shock.
As a veteran Marine, she knew exactly what that meant.
An Emperor.
A Yonko.
The Marines current preparations were all to ensure they could handle one such being.
That alone proved how terrifying a Yonko was.
But now…
Another one?
And unidentified…
“So Kizaru’s scouting?”
Tsuru’s voice was grim.
Sengoku nodded wearily.
Now, she didn’t question his decision.
If this unknown force wasn’t investigated, it could spell disaster for the Marines.
Two Emperors…
The battlefield would become a nightmare.
“And I’ve got a bad feeling about this.”
Sengoku massaged his throbbing forehead.
Tsuru immediately understood.
“Still no trace of that boy? If he’s involved, we have to prepare early.”
Her reasoning was sound.
Vir was friends with Ace—and on excellent terms with the Whitebeard Pirates.
If this new Yonko was also connected to him…
Then the Marines were almost certainly facing a war against two Emperors.
They had to identify the other Yonko’s abilities and plan countermeasures.
“Nothing. The kid’s vanished. His powers make tracking him impossible—he comes and goes as he pleases.”
Just as Sengoku finished speaking, the Den Den Mushi rang.
*Puru puru puru!*
*Click.*
“Fleet Admiral Sengoku! This is Momonga!”
“Just now—I saw a massive purple lightning bolt strike straight through the sky near Amazon Lily!”
*Click.*
The call ended.
Silence filled the office.
Finally, Sengoku and Tsuru exchanged glances.
All they could do was sigh.
Good news: They’d found Vir.
Bad news: He was at Amazon Lily…
