Paragon of Sin

Chapter 1860 Afterword

1860 Afterword

We've made it this far! I'm fully excited for the future, especially after the past year and a half, which I'm deeply apologetic for as it was littered with real-life circumstances, untimely writer's blocks, and burnout that kept disappointing goals and promises issued. Regardless of the negative aspects of that period, we've returned back, and hopefully, as the hypocritical gamer reviews goes: "We'll return to form."

Joking aside, I'm optimistic about the coming chapter. Looking back on my notes for Volume Six's Afterword, I feel satisfied with many of my initial goals. Volume Seven WAS the Volume of Wei Wuyin. We watched him go from a frog sealed in a well to a galactic conqueror with an ever-rising reputation, and there's SO much to expect from the next volume.

I'm sure the last few chapters ending the volume have already got some of you excited! The Bloodline of Sin is about to kick off into full-blown arcs! Amidst which, we have the looming war that has been planned since the very beginning, and the Blessed Yri Empire's marriage situation! Also, don't think I've forgotten: The Battlefield? WE'RE GOING BACK!

Now, this Volume will involve Wei Wuyin AND the other characters, developing their progression, and following them as they showcase their uniqueness and relevancy before the upcoming war. I'M HYPED!

Anyways, Ill leave this off with some old Q & A from my discord's last two Q & A Sessions I've selected. I haven't done Q & A's for a year and so, but there's a strong chance that I'll do it again! So if you want, join the Discord!

Let's have a good Volume Eight!

Q: What sort of challenges and tests of character do the inheritors of major forces in the galaxy go through to make sure that they don't become unreasonable, arrogant young masters? (If they go through these tests) - Sent by Hunter8k A: Largely depends on the major forces' policies and organization type. I'd imagine Sects and Clans have very different ways to diminish ego effectively if that's their goal. However, I'd say that it's unreasonable to assume that a society of individuals in a very power-dynamic-dominant hierarchy won't generate immature or arrogant individuals.

That said, I think the best form of method would simply be a history lesson. I.e: "This idiot once wanted a beauty that belonged to so-and-so and caused his entire clan to be eradicated while his head hung at the peak of a mountain, mounted by a spear, for a thousand years.

Type of cruel thing. "Don't f with random people."

Q: Seeing so many women in WW's harem and probably many more to come, aren't you afraid you will write yourself into a corner due to having far too many characters to develop? - Sent by Alex _ _ A: Nope. No fear whatsoever. Not every character will get a lasting spotlight, but when they do enter the stage, they'll definitely be memorable enough to differentiate from a few phrases to anyone who knows the novel or cares enough about relationships. To those who don't, it doesn't matter. They can enjoy the other parts of the story.

-----

Q: What comprehensions will Wei Si lean into? Battle? War? Fist?- Sent by Forgotten_Buddha

A: Killing. Crushing. Dominating. Like a true Spartan.

Just a little extra, but I REALLY want to give Wei Si a scene similar to Master Chief chucking a bomb through an array of enemies and gunfire like a downright badass. Who knows if I can do that.

-----

Q: Does WW have any moral standards for relationships and who he has sex with? If yes, what are his views? - Sent by Jiyū 自由

A: If you're attractive or interesting to him, he has no issues with bedding a willing beauty. Bloodtorrent was a well-known, viciously ruthless woman! It's literally in her name!

Guess the only true standard is that you don't disgust him and you catch his interest in some way. He's not afraid to pursue anyone as long as they're willing and can consent to a relationship. Ofc there are the obvious no-gos, such as a literal child/infant, something of that abhorrent line.

-----

Q: Would Wei Wuyin be able to abandon the Neo-Dawn Starfield / Stellar Region and its inhabitants to certain deaths if it seems like they're dragging him down? - Sent by Moonsterdark A: Wei Wuyin will never abandon any place he considers his home again. Even if he has to die with it.

-----

Q: What's the most amount of words you've ever written in a single day? (And how much caffeine did you need for that?) - Sent by Hunter8k

A: Perhaps in the range of 20,000 Words during my early, EARLY Consuming Earths, Devouring Skies Days or Pre-Posting Paragon of Sin. I wrote several volumes of Paragon of Sin before publishing, and I was crazy active then.

-----

Q: How much of an achievement is it to win the Nexus Battlefield by defeating the legion? Related to this, why was the third miss convinced she was going to die in the nexus battlefield, as an ascended princess of an empire with RSR level people, did she not even have the confidence of fighting or of the empire sending other elites into the nexus battlefield to rescue her? With the right tools, it shouldn't be too difficult for them to beat the legion, having only 1 ES and 9999 lower-level ascended? - Sent by Hunter8k A: She's been there for a long while. If they could be there by then, they would have. Her confidence waned as each passing day until she realized that fighting against the legion was abnormally difficult.

The Battlefield, especially the Nexus Battlefield, isn't a decent cultivation ground as everything is suppressed to an extreme. And in that circumstance, gathering the unwilling to form an army against the monstrous legion was almost impossible without the right impetus(Jing Jiu). She didn't have it, and neither did anyone else.

And everything within the Nexus Battlefield was suppressed. It's hard to explain everything, but they were essentially mortals with mystic physiques fighting against an army of well-trained cultivators in the ten thousand by their lonesome. Without Spiritual Sense, just the potential of getting the good ol' arrow in the back of the head was entirely possible.

It is an AMAZING achievement that was designed to never be completed by a single person or a small group of individuals, but a mesh of cultivators teaming up with tactics of war from all walks of life for the sake of victory and survival, exemplifying the importance of the Dao of War.

Q: Is there any connection between the Radiant Palace that Jiang Feilan created in Everlore starfield and the Three Radiant Empires of the Celestial Sovereign? - Sent by plushySeven A: You're a keen one. Yes. The Elven Race has a very, very strong connection with the Three Radiant Empires' Celestial Race and the Celestial Sovereign! Nothing is named without purpose and reason! ^_^ -----

Q: Is it possible to steal the law of a mortal and use it as an ascended being like the old man said? - Sent by BannedFromBabysitting

A: You can steal a Seed of Law, yes. Wei Wuyin has done so twice! While he hasn't used either Seeds of Law, mostly because doing so has its own complications and difficulties going forward, especially if you don't have compatible Spirits of Cultivation or any actual comprehension of it.

Moreover, it's always best to conceive your own. Because the path you take for the law is mostly set at conception and it may or may not be suitable for you.

-----

Q: Hey, dear author. Could we get a quick rundown on the lifespan of the current realms we know of? - Sent by Nacho

A: Average Lifespans:

Peak Mortal Realm is 1,200 to 1,500.

Mystic Star has a similar Soulspan as Soul of Mysticism, but the given Lifespan is non-existent, so they have similar lifespans as Peak Mortal Realm without life-bolstering products or materials like Eden.

Soul of Mysticism - 10,000~.

Demi-Mortal Lord - 30,000~.

Earthly Saint - 33,000~.

Worldly Saint - 40,000~.

Heavenly Saint - 55,000~.

Ascended Saint - 220,000~.

True Sage - 230,000~.

It jumps hugely at DML and AS, and these are averages for Lifespans, not accounting for the hard limits of Soulspans.

Q: Who is your favorite character in the Dragon Ball franchise, and why? - Sent by La.lala19

A: Vegeta hands down. When I was extremely young, it was Goku, but after I reached my teens, Vegeta became my favorite character and has never stopped. The unwillingness to give up in any circumstance, the very concept of Saiyan Pride, heavily contributed to my Sin of Pride selection for Wei Wuyin to reflect his mentality towards the challenges of Hell.

TREPASS INTO THE DOMAIN OF THE GODS!!!

Thank you for allowing my childhood to be so spectacular and rich in creativity, Akira Toriyama! Rest in Peace. I hope I can see you again to give my personal thanks.

-----

Q: Kevin, the world is about to end BUT you can save it! You just have to choose between erasing ass or tits. What are you choosing? - Sent by BannedFromBabysitting A: Without one or the other, the world no longer needs to exist. Goodbye, World.
