Pokémon Court

Chapter 319: Final Victor

Several judges looked on with curiosity. As the situation developed to this stage, the constantly shifting dynamics were truly surprising. The battle not only showcased the fundamentals of beauty but also gave off the intense, thrilling feeling of a traditional Pokémon battle.

In the next moment, both Coordinators glanced at the steadily dropping appeal points and the ticking countdown. Beautifly and Tangrowth’s clash resumed once again!

At this point, Beautifly had received a significant power boost, while Tangrowth stood confidently in its Grassy Terrain, showing no sign of weakness. The two Pokémon exchanged round after round of moves, their dazzling techniques leaving the audience thoroughly entertained. Some even stood up excitedly, cheering and shouting encouragement.

Countless wind blades rained down from the sky like blades and swords, slicing through the innumerable vines before racing toward Tangrowth. Faced with this overwhelming attack, Tangrowth quickly gathered its thorns to form a massive barrier in front of it, blocking all the wind blades. With a loud “bang,” the stage was enveloped in a cloud of murky smoke.

“46 seconds left…” one spectator gasped at the dwindling time. It was still unclear who had the upper hand in terms of appeal points, as the back-and-forth exchanges were so closely matched. Both of their skills seemed evenly matched, making it difficult to judge based on appeal points alone.

However, during the relentless exchange of moves, both Beautifly and Tangrowth had sustained injuries to a different extent. Combined with the stamina expended and injuries sustained during the stat-boosting process, Beautifly was now in a more disadvantageous position in terms of stamina.

“At this rate, Beautifly’s stamina would reach its limit…” Terrance furrowed his brow, noticing the signs of exhaustion in Beautifly’s performance.

Tangrowth’s offense and defense were solid and steady. Despite Beautifly’s two stat-boosts, Hani quickly adjusted her mindset, adopting a defensive strategy to prolong the battle. She had clearly noticed Beautifly’s weakening state and was leveraging Tangrowth’s advantages to the fullest.

With the interaction between Grassy Terrain and Ingrain-Absorb, Tangrowth was slowly but surely recovering its stamina, like it was rooted in a fountain of energy. In contrast, Beautifly’s stamina consumption was becoming much more apparent.

In the blink of an eye, the situation shifted from Terrance holding advantage to Beautifly being on the back foot.

The judges, seemingly accustomed to these sudden shifts, made no additional comments as they focused intently on the final seconds of the battle.

“It has reached the limit…” Terrance took a deep breath as he observed Beautifly’s condition. He hadn’t wanted to resort to this, knowing the risks involved. Though he had always considered this as one of his trump cards, it was one he preferred not to use.

Using this trump card also signaled that Beautifly was in an extremely poor state.

“Beautifly, activate Swarm!”

At that moment, it seemed the entire venue heard Terrance’s command. A hush fell over the crowd. Hani, initially confused, quickly showed signs of panic. The judges exchanged glances, with a faint smile on their faces. Swarm?!

Activating an Ability intentionally?!

If a Trainer doesn’t fully understand their own Pokémon, lacks a strong bond with them, or if their breeding level isn’t high enough to tap into their Pokémon’s potential, these Abilities are often only triggered accidentally during battle.

Or, they might gradually influence the Pokémon unconsciously.

To be able to activate a Pokémon’s Ability purely through a Trainer’s command, the judges looked at Terrance with admiration. It was no wonder he had earned his Breeder’s license at the age of 10. When it came to raising Pokémon, he clearly had unique views. His deep understanding of his own Pokémon far exceeded that of many Trainers!

A magical glow enveloped Beautifly. As Hani and Tangrowth watched, they could feel a powerful energy beginning to surge around Beautifly. The intensity of this energy, which exploded forth in an instant, made Tangrowth feel a strong sense of threat! ⱤÂŊỗ𝖇ÈŜ

“Beautifly, dive into the Silver Wind and give Tangrowth the final…”

Before Terrance could even finish speaking, Beautifly, now in its Swarm state, suddenly flapped its wings rapidly, entering a state of “enlightenment.” With a loud boom, having already been boosted by two Quiver Dance and one Silver Wind, Beautifly now felt that, in its Swarm state, it could perceive every part of its body. It had entered the best state it had ever been in since its evolution. In the next moment, a mysterious information flowed into Beautifly’s mind, causing its body to move instinctively.

Seeing this, with Terrance’s experience in breeding, he instantly understood what was happening…

“Has it learned a new move, at a time like this…” Terrance muttered in surprise.

Beautifly’s wingbeats grew even faster, surpassing the intensity it had displayed with Silver Wind. At that moment, a silver-white sound wave emanated from Beautifly, carrying immense power as it swept toward Tangrowth!!

Buzz~ Buzz~ Buzz~~

Under the force of this mysterious sound wave, all obstacles were cleared away with ease. Countless vines were sliced apart like tofu, and Tangrowth’s expression turned to one of panic and fear. It stood frozen, watching helplessly as the incredible power struck its body. The Ingrain state was canceled, and Grassy Terrain was shattered!!

Appeal points hit zero, and Tangrowth lost its ability to battle!!

“The winner is… Terrance!!”

“It’s over!! The final victor of this Grand Festival is Contestant Terrance from Fallarbor Town!!!” Vivian shouted excitedly after a brief moment of shock!

The entire arena erupted in cheers.
