Chapter 790: Hidden Secret of the Dungeon

[Planet Hular – Dream Human Continent: Dream City. Emperor Yuval’s Palace]

“Emperor Yuval, we have news.” An old human with pure yellow hair and an energetic body said, running into a large hall designed using the finest jade.

It looks grand and graceful, housing some of the finest and most beautiful flowers in the universe.

“Come on, Meric. You are older than I. So, there is no need to run here with your weak bones.” A handsome man, also with yellow hair, sitting on a throne, said, a smile gracing his lips.

Meric smiled, but he held a serious expression, unlike the Emperor, who was in the mood to have some fun.

Of course, he is capable of having some fun, for he is Emperor Yuval, the Emperor of all races in Hular.

He shook his head and smiled, knowing this particular Elder in his council was particularly serious about his job.

“Go ahead, Meric. What happened?”

“My Emperor, the Unbreakable City has been destroyed.”

“What?” Emperor Yuval’s voice echoed throughout the city like thunder. Everyone who heard him froze for a moment, an invincible force restraining them.

They were released the next second as the voice of their Emperor vanished. Of course, when they were freed, they could sense the change in the air, which means the emperor wasn’t calm at the moment.

That was the extent of his power as the emperor of the world of Hular.

“What did you just say?”

“The Unbreakable City has been destroyed, and every last Tiger was killed. Not even a single one of them was left alive to tell the tale.

I just received word from the Desert Humans who said they felt an explosion, and within an hour, when they got there, the battle was over and the perpetrators were long gone.

According to their report, aside from a couple of 50 thousand dead bodies, the rest were reduced to ash, their bones turning to dust.

If it were the Elves who reported, I would have doubted them for they love to exaggerate, but the Desert humans are different.”

“How? How were the walls broken? Who has the strength to break those walls in the Alliance?. Who even had the means to kill that many tigers in under an hour?” Emperor Yuval asked, sitting back on his throne.

Planet Hular is the strongest of the many planets in the Kevlar Planetary Alliance. It is a high world, inhabited by three races: the Dream Humans, the Elves, and the Desert Humans.

Of course, they weren’t the only inhabitants. It was just that in the Kevlar planetary Alliance, only the three races were recognised.

This was because, in the past, there were seven races: the Tigerkin, the Batkin, the Lionkin, the Goatkin, the two human races, and the Elves.

The four beastkin were known as the four ancient beast races, with the Tigerkin being the strongest among them.

However, 50,000 years ago, the Tigerkin slaughtered every last one of the Goatkin, Lionkin, and Batkin, and then sealed themselves in an Unbreakable City.

Emperor Yuval, the leader of the Dream Humans, the Elves, and the Desert Humans, tried many times to break the wall and kill the tigers hiding behind it.

Of course, while the tigerkin kill their fellow beasts, making it not part of his business, as an emperor, he knew for a fact that if the tigers were allowed to keep living, they would one day surpass him and come for his people.

He couldn’t allow that to happen.

So for the past 50,000 years, he had tried many times to break the walls, but he couldn’t. Eventually, he gave up, but now he had received word that the tigers were gone, and the walls he could not break were no longer standing.

“Who would have this much strength to break those walls? Even people from the Jiko and Hulap Alliances couldn’t break them.”

“Does this mean an immortal has appeared in this world?” Emperor Yuval wondered.

Meric looked at the emperor and shook his head.

He was one of the many who tried to break down the walls. As a Spirit Lord, Meric held some strength in him. But even so, he couldn’t make a dent in the wall, no matter how many times he struck it.

Even the king, who had already reached the 8th level of the Heavenly Ascension realm—just a step away from reaching the sacred Empyrean realm—tried but could only create shockwaves.

Hearing that the same walls were now broken made them wonder just what or who could have done that.

’Who could have that much attack power? Are they a threat to us? Are they a threat to the Emperor?’ Meric’s mind was running wild.

If only he knew that the attack Camilla used could kill a Root Immortal and even injure a Spirit Immortal, he would probably stop thinking and let nature run its course.

Initially, Camilla, without Lynn’s help, could only use five rings to power her ’Point Of No Return’ skill.

However, even that was enough to kill a Spirit Sovereign and injure a Spirit Lord.

So adding 95 more rings to it made it a different kind of skill—one that has no grade. And she wasn’t the only one who had that kind of skill.

Just like how Val can call down the divine power of the Moon Goddess, the rest of her sisters and the rest of the legion have something like that. But the cooldown time was just too long to use it casually.

Those skills are gradeless, meaning they grow with them and will continue to improve in the future.

It was their Plan E for when Plans A, B, C, and D failed.

So using it to win easily was not an option.

Now, Camilla used an even more powerful form of her skill, and the shock would soon rock not only Planet Hular but the whole of the Kevlar Planetary Alliance.

What happened was one they didn’t see coming.

Meanwhile, what was even more bizarre was what Kent sensed. He sensed he was in a high world on the third floor of the dungeon. The feeling was plain as day to him when he paid attention.

He had been to Fedora, so he knew how the spiritual energy in the air felt.

While he wasn’t sure at first, when he finally managed to calm himself down and sensed it, he knew he wasn’t mistaken. He was indeed in a high world, and the feeling was undeniable.

It turned out he was right.

But since that was the case, what does it mean then?

He was supposed to be in the dungeon, but it turned out that he and his team had been transported to a high world.

That alone was enough to realize the danger Kent’s legion was in or would face should they continue to climb the floors.

Dungeons are designed in such a way that every floor has a defined power level of beasts or beings they will be fighting. However, the third floor didn’t have that power structure.

This only means that the dungeon is not just a dungeon, but something else entirely.

It can even be said that it is a doorway to other worlds with predefined missions and tasks he and his team must complete.

But if that was the case, then how does it explain the fact that while Kent and his team were still in the city, and thousands of Desert people going through the destroyed city on Planet Hular, couldn’t see each other?

They were occupying the same space, but in a way, they couldn’t see each other.
