Primordial Chaos Dragon Tower: Harem System
Chapter 812: Heading to The Sect [End of Volume IV]Chapter 812: Heading to The Sect [End of Volume IV]
“Hmm. This is interesting,” Kent said, pacing back and forth after hearing what Elder Lance had to say.
He had just told him the plan the elders came up with to kill Kent and every new potential disciple coming to the sect from Sonox.
He told him about the corruption ring the elders had been running all this time. He even went into great detail, explaining how the recruitment process was supposed to unfold.
As the world housing the sect, they are allowed 200 slots every three years, some of which will be allocated to the Flame Tower.
However, the elders deemed it best to allocate only 100 to Sonox and sell the rest to other worlds that have only 100 slots, and some even 50.
This placed things in perspective for Kent to realize that corruption is everywhere. He had expected this foul behavior to be limited to Earth, where power was determined by money.
But here, instead of these elders using their strength to get what they wanted, they instead chose to use underhanded means, even willing to go as far as killing mere children to cover up their tainted actions.
That was just too much, awful enough that Kent didn’t even know what to do to them when he got his hands on them.
“To think a whole sect with prestige third only to the best on this side of the universe would have such rotten elders,” Kent sighed. “This is unbelievable.”
“And to think they will hold a race of 3 billion humans hostage just to get what they want. Do they perhaps think they can get away with it?”
Kent was pissed.
The idea of holding 3 billion potential Soul Essence generators hostage infuriated him, and for that, he planned to make the elders pay a huge price, one that would make them wish they had never met the one called Kent Madson.
“First of all, we have to think of a way to save your people.” Kent thought for a moment and asked, “How do you get back to your world?”
“There is a teleportation formation in the sect that can take me there.”
“That won’t do. Who knows what measures they’ve taken to ensure you can’t get back there on time? We need something that doesn’t have anything to do with the sect.”
Elder Lance took out a crystal from his space ring. “This is a one-way teleportation token that can take me to my world. But it is for one use only.
I planned on using it as the last-ditch effort to get back to my world if I couldn’t bear to contribute to killing these kids.”
Kent took the token and examined it for a moment. “This will do.” Kent turned to Uncle Drake. “It’s between going to save a whole world and facing the Leviathan guy. Your pick.”
Uncle Drake was about to speak when Elder Lance cut him off. “He can’t pick my side. Lord Leviathan is among the top ten strongest in the Celestial Conclave Planetary Alliance.
If he is coming after someone dear to you, then you can face him instead. He is dangerous and merciless.”
“Oh. It looks like he’s a big shot. You will be having fun then.”
Uncle Drake just shrugged. Kent, meanwhile, sent the token to his tower storage and made the tower make copies of it.
“I guess I will send the Bloodvein tribe to protect them. With their strength, not even this Leviathan guy can do anything to your world.”
Kent studied Elder Lance’s expression for a few seconds before taking out two tokens from his tower storage.
“If you are still worried, then don’t be. You can contact them and let them know that help will be sent over, and they are to welcome them. They will stay and make sure your people are well protected so you don’t have to worry.”
Elder Lance stood there for a few more seconds, not understanding what was going on.
However, for the safety of his people, he took out an expensive-looking communication tablet and activated it using his energy. He spoke into it and then waited for a response.
A few seconds later, a voice came from the other side, “We look forward to welcoming them, Supreme Protector.”
Kent smiled. “That takes care of it. However, after everything is said and done, you should consider hiring my Guardianship service. It comes with bonuses you wouldn’t want to miss.”
With a smile on his face, he turned to Uncle Drake. “You can send us back now.”
Elder Lance was the first to be sent away. When he was gone, Uncle Drake turned to Kent, “I will let you know when that Leviathan guy is taken care of, so you can send me to this different world.”
Kent took out a token and handed it to him. “You can go there when you are free. It has only humans, so maybe you will learn how to behave more humanely there.”
Uncle Drake smirked and appeared outside with him.
Eyes turned toward them, but Kent just walked away and headed back to his friends while Uncle Drake ignored everyone and stood there, waiting for Elder Lance to handle his business so he could return and sleep.
“Sorry for the delay, everyone,” Elder Lance said, looking more relaxed now.
A huge load had been lifted from his shoulders, and now he could get back to being the dedicated elder of the Supreme Immortal Sect.
“Today marks the beginning of a new path for you all. In a few hours, you will be almost a step into the sect. Of course, whether you have what it takes to step in will depend on your prowess during the entrance exams.
However, from what I saw the last time I was here, I have no doubt that you all will pass the entrance exams. Just believe in yourself and you can pull through.”
Everyone was thrilled to hear Elder Lance’s words.
Of course, they all knew that not everyone would be entering, but hearing his encouraging words made them feel like they could make it through the gate of the sect and step in, becoming disciples for life.
Elder Lance saw the readiness on their faces and smiled. He took out a miniature ship and made it float in the air. It then expanded and soon became large, like a mansion.
“Everyone with a token should board the ship.”
Elder Lance wasn’t even done when some were already standing on the deck.
Kent turned to his friends and smiled, “This is it, you all. This is the start of a new chapter, so we all should make it count.”
They nodded and flew onto the large deck of the flying ship. Kent landed with a calm step and swept the entire deck and inner rooms with his senses just to be sure the elders hadn’t done anything to it.
If anything went wrong, he would fly to the sect, find the elders, and beat the shit out of them.
Elder Lance handed the rewards to the races that came first, second, and third in the ranking during the Flame Tower trial. Then, he flew back to the ship, and with a wave of his hand, the void crack closed, and the ship sped through it.
The moment it closed, everyone dispersed, for they knew the young ones were now on their way to claim their destinies.
