Chapter 124 Allen's ProcrastinationCarrion slightly raised his hand that was previously on the armrest of his black throne to signal the machine guns on his throne to fire.
*rat-a-tat!*
The sound of machine gun fire reverberated in the chess realm as thousands of bullets spewed out from the machine guns, riddling the body of the white knight as blood oozed out from those holes.
*Splat*
The white knight’s body along with his white horse fell into their own pool of blood on the chessboard.
“Your sacrifice won’t be in vain.”
Allen saluted towards the corpse of the white knight as he honored the death and sacrifice of the white knight.
True to his words, Allen wouldn’t let the sacrifice of his white knight be in vain..
“Rook to f7, check.”
Allen spoke those words as the sacrifice of the white knight was still vivid within his mind. Even if the white knight was only a chess piece, it didn’t mean that unless was ungrateful to those who he had sacrificed for his victory.
The white rook moved to the f7 square as the white rook created an X-ray attack on the black king and black knight. If the black king ever legally moved to any of the available squares, the black knight would be taken by the white rook.
That’s why Allen confidently assured the white knight that his sacrifice won’t be in vain as Allen had already predicted this chess line to happen.
“King to e3.”
Carrion retreated to the e3 square to prevent himself from being attacked by the white rook.
“Rook takes knight on f1.”
The white rook sped up like a truck as it isekai’d the shit out of the black knight.
If this was in real life, the black knight might be the protagonist of an isekai novel titled “I’m In Another World As A Knight With My Horse”.
“King to e2.”
Carrion not only moved to the e2 square but also threatened to attack the unguarded white rook on the f1 square as he threatened to win material.
Of course, Allen wasn’t that stupid to blunder a piece, especially a rook so he moved his rook to safety.
“Rook to f3.”
The white rook moved to the f3 square. Although it was still within the range of attack of the black king, the white pawn on the g2 square guarded the white rook so the black king couldn’t take the white rook.
Seeing that the white rook was defended and he couldn’t take it, Carrion decided to ignore it as he moved the other piece that was the only black piece left other than himself.
“Rook to h8.”
The black rook moved towards the h8 square as it not only prevented the white pawn from advancing towards the promotion square but also threatened to win material by taking the white pawn on h7 that was only one square away from promotion.
“Pawn to g6.”
The white pawn on g5 pushed forward one square as it defended the vulnerable white pawn on the h7 square.
“King to d1.”
Carrion moved towards the d1 square which confused Allen a bit since there were worst moves and Carrion didn’t choose that but there was also something much better than what Carrion had moved.
After all, Carrion’s move to the d1 square allowed Allen to mate Carrion in 9 moves. Not in real life though but in chess since both of them weren’t gays.
If Carrion had moved to the e1 square instead of the d1 square, he would have prevented a forced mate and would have lasted longer than 9 moves.
‘I’ll just be done with this. I know I didn’t have any advantage towards Allen even at the early game and the fact that I lasted this long is enough. Rather than suffering a lot longer, it’s best for me to just relieve myself from further suffering. It’s clear that Allen wouldn’t even show me any mercy.’
‘But I got to say, even I didn’t expect that Allen would defeat me in this kind of manner. I expected our game to at least have me winning instead of him. I might have underestimated him more than I had expected.’
Those were Carrion’s thoughts after moving himself to the d1 square as he could only let out a sigh of how huge the difference was between Allen and himself. He had thought that he had overestimated Allen but it seemed that his overestimation of Allen was an underestimation.
Of course, Carrion didn’t know but unless he thought of Allen as someone who has all the <Supreme> talents, his overestimation would always be an underestimation.
And the only reason why Carrion and his classmates didn’t think of Allen possessing every <Supreme> talent possible was that it was such an absurd possibility that it was simply something a god would have.
Well, it wouldn’t be far-fetched to call Allen a god since Perfection Realm powerhouses are gods and Allen could kill Perfection Realm Initial Stage and Perfection Realm Intermediate Stage powerhouses. And what Allen could do was something akin to a god as he was absurdly perfect with his <Supreme Order> talent.
As for the reason why Allen hadn’t reached Perfection Realm Initial Stage yet or even Half-Step Perfection Realm, it was something that Allen knew about and it was up to him whether he wanted to become one or not.
After all, his foundation was too stable as it was already at the peak of what was attainable. So if he wanted to, he can attain a higher power realm without even ruining his foundation.
In the end, it all came to down whether Allen wanted to attain the Perfection Realm or not but since he found no reason yet to become one, he didn’t increase his power level.
Arguably, it was better for Allen to become a Perfection Realm powerhouse early on so he could get used to his power and build up his foundation but Allen didn’t have any more motivation as yet to become one.
He was already the strongest in his world and he didn’t face any threat that has surpassed him.
Also, he wanted to procrastinate in keeping his humanity a bit longer since he knew in the future, he had to give up his humanity.
